There was a lot of intrigue surrounding this duel. On the dueling field, the students who might have been in his year or one year above him were giving it their all, and they all appeared to want to win the duel. But Atlas did occasionally provide words of encouragement to help them give it their all. "NICE ONE!" He cheered for both teams.
Although Gryffindor appeared to be dominating this match, Rodney and Alyssea had both been extremely fortunate. It appeared as though they were on the verge of death, and they had both barely escaped being struck by lightning, which could have led them to the Hospital Wing. The caster of this spell, Estelle, had no means to be kind today looking at how she is playing everything out.
Spells and incarntations echoed around the area as the students battled during the duel, with many misses of spells on both sides. Raizel attempted to gain the upper hand by casting the disarming charm and tossing Alyssea's wand away from her; however, she succeeded as Alyssea was disarmed and her wand landed somewhere, the only thing she could do is locate it. Since this was a duel and both house members sought to win and have fun.Things became interesting every second and Atlas was having much fun moderating this duel.

❂《 ⌜ October 2, 2023 ▎ TBA ⌟▛▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔Surprise surprise, she's still standing.
Spells were coming for her earlier, one backfired, one hits and this time, she was not surprised that most spells were aimed at her once again. "Ahahaha, you guys sure want me down huh." She uttered with a nervous and at the same time, an impressed grin on her face. Getting targeted by spells, a scary thought but in dueling, it's something that you need to get used to. The moment you stood on that piste, you have to be prepared for the pain and suffering that comes with being a duellist.
There is also the thrill of dodging spells though, something that Raizel is starting to feel as soon as two wands were pointed at her. Dodging had never been her strongest suit. No, she would always find herself being hit by spells after spells as soon as the duel starts as seen earlier. If she managed to avoid one, that'd be through sheer luck. First spell, Alyssea's second attempt with Rictusempra was successful this time but Raizel was a bit more ready for that. She sidestepped, wand at a ready. "Expelliarmus!" And off went Alyssea's wand, out of her grasp and probably landing somewhere. Hopefully, she won't find it that quick.
Second Spell… nothing. Looks like the younger Hufflepuff is having troubles casting his spells. That backfire looked like it hurts to be honest. She sure wishes that won't happen to her. She had been practicing hard when it comes to spellcasting and she's hoping that did something at least.
Another unfortunate thing was her partner missing her target but hey, at least it wasn't her at the end of it as the spell went for Alyssea instead. Then again, it still missed. "Tough but we're fine!" She's not that very good in giving words of encouragement but hopefully that one could keep Estelle's hopes up in this duel.

Yup, their luck was going quite splendidly this time around. First, her spell backfired on her and now, Raizel managed to disarm her. She hadn't gotten around to perfecting Expelliarmus in D.A.D.A just yet, more preoccupied with the ball and also with Transfiguration since she wanted to try out one of the Third Year spells. It was going to be useful later on when official matches happened.
You win some and you lose some, she reminded herself. While duelling was her sport (she'd signed up and managed to get off the waitlist faster than broom racing), it certainly might not be the best one for her, and she could live with that. She was only, what, twelve-years-old? There were still five years left of this place she had to endure, five years to figure out where her strengths were better utilised.
Of course, a bunch of losses in practice matches wasn't going to be trigger that made her quit. After a few official matches or three, she would determine whether the switch would be more beneficial; someone who had a higher aptitude for duelling would have a better chance at bringing the victory back to Hufflepuff. And after quitting duelling (if it ever happened), she could afford to wait a while before becoming a broom racer.

Estelle thought for a moment about which spell to cast. Flipendo could do a lot of damage, but Incendio had the potential for longer-lasting damage, which could be more deadly if someone was at a low health. Still, Flipendo seemed kinder than chucking a great big fireball across the room - burns could be really painful.
But was Estelle here to be kind? Or was she here to win? It was her first duel, after all and she wanted to start on a high. So why not try a new spell?
Estelle raised her wand and cast Incendio. Unfortunately for her, the spell missed Rodney, her intended target, by quite a bit, nearly hitting Alyssea.
At least she had managed to cast the spell. It looked really cool shooting through the air, even if it hadn't hit anyone.
Behind her, her thundercloud grumbled, shooting bolts of lightning at her opponents. Although they missed, Estelle was glad of them - they would provide her with some protection in case she needed to cast protective or healing spells.
Estelle glanced at her partner. She had successfully hit Alyssea with Expelliarmus, causing her to lose her wand. Es thought this was a very effective strategy - it effectively took Alyssea out of the running until she found her wand.
All in all, although Estelle hadn't hit anyone this round, she concluded that it had gone well anyway.

Thankfully for me, I wasn’t, but with the way the battle was shaping up to be, it wouldn’t matter anyways. You see. I decided to cast Tarantallegra, which was a spell that forced you to dance, but as I cast it, I was forced to move out of the way of the ball of fire coming my way, which made me completely botch my spell in a way that made it backfire on me. Well, now I was dancing uncontrollably, which certainly made any dodging from here on out very difficult.
What made matters worse, however, was that Alyssea had been hit by the disarming charm. The girl who had cast the charm laughed. “You guys sure want me down huh?” “Well one opponent is easier to duel than two, right?” I said with a chuckle. “I think you’d agree with that, considering that it’s basically a two v one now.” Well, this was going to happen at some point. But it was no time to give up, because I’d either win, or I would get knocked out trying. It was probably good going to be the latter, because at this point, what were the chances of us having enough luck to win? I mean, I’d probably have to dodge two spells and a lightning bolt, all while dancing uncontrollably, and the chances of that happening were pretty slim. And I just might try to cast a spell, just in case it hits.

A win for Hufflepuff or Gryffindor?, Hufflepuff House members were not having an easy time at all, and in order to succeed at what they were doing, they had to put everything on the line. This duel was taking an enormously unexpected turn.
This round, Alyssea was still looking for her wand. Alyssea was struck severely by lightning, seemingly due to the effect of the spell that Estelle had already cast, and she was missing her wand when Rai used the chance to cast the Disarming charm on her, earlier. Atlas had anticipated that the Hufflepuff team would successfully escape lightning, but it was becoming clear that this was going to be a dangerous yet thrilling duel. Whatever spell it was, Atlas appeared to enjoy the intensity of what was going on.
Raizel was seemingly hit by the knockback Jinx and lowkey, that seemed to be the Slytherin boy's favorite spell. As soon as Raizel was able to regain her footing in the duel, she attempted to cast the Ventus spell at Rodney. God knows what kind of spell it was, but it appeared to be a powerful one. Rodney looked to have been more hurt by that spell alone. To top it off, Estelle was able to cast the knockback Jinx on Rodney with some degree of success. The Hufflepuff boy's destiny was decided by that alone, and they were sent into a state of unconsciousness.
He yelled, "Everyone hold on!" as he hurried over to Rodney, not knowing what to do in this circumstance. He was petrified, he was a complete novice at what he was doing and it unnerved him a little to see another student lying there unconscious. He called the participants and asked them to put the duel on wait. Upon observing Rodney unconscious, he made the decision to remove his body from the duel zone and place it aside.
"I believe he requires medical care! I apologize to everyone, but I have to tell you that we should put this duel off." The wisest course of action was to take the Hufflepuff youngster to the medical wing since, for a kid of his age, he was responsible and cared about a lot of things, therefore, he could not compromise and continuing the duel without the other party being taken care of.
"Please help me carry him there!" Atlas requested Raizel for help and then he got the assistance needed to carry Rodney to the hospital Wing.

OOC Note: This marks the end of the duel, I had to think how Atlas would react with Rodney having to fall down due to 0% HP, but I also had so much fun. I wish to do it again, Thank you to all participants. GRYFFINDOR FOR VICTORY!!
I will also be locking this thread on the 14th December, feel free to send in replies of your character celebrating/reacting to this situation. (:
