Delilah, had never been one to shy away from a dare, even when it came from her friend Estelle. The challenge to venture to the grounds of Hogwarts at night, past curfew, was too tempting to resist. Delilah had a reputation for her nonchalant attitude and a propensity for mischief, but bravery was not something she readily claimed.
As the clock in the common room ticked closer to midnight on Halloween, Delilah grabbed her coat, her wand, and tiptoed past her snoring dorm-mates. A sly grin danced across her lips as she thought about the adventure ahead. She'd always loved pushing the boundaries, and the allure of the forbidden was a siren's call to her restless spirit.
The journey to the grounds was shrouded in darkness, broken only by the dim light of her wand, which she waved lazily as she walked. The air was chilly, sending shivers down her spine and making her reconsider her decision. The rustling of leaves in the autumn breeze sounded like whispered secrets, and the hooting of owls in the distance added to the eerie ambiance. Delilah couldn't help but admit, deep down, she was a bit scared.
As she stepped onto the cold, dew-covered grass of the Hogwarts grounds, Delilah's heart pounded in her chest. She couldn't help but feel the weight of centuries of history and the ghosts of those who had walked these paths before her. The ancient trees cast long, gnarled shadows that seemed to reach out and grasp at her.
Delilah tried to shake off her unease with a forced chuckle. "Come on, Delilah," she muttered to herself, her voice barely above a whisper. "It's just a walk in the park, literally."
er footsteps sounded loud, like thunder in the silence, and she couldn't help but wonder if someone โ or something โ was watching her. The wind whispered through the trees, creating ghostly voices that seemed to echo in the night.

Es followed Del through the corridors at a distance. She hoped Del wouldn't notice her and it seemed like she didn't.
She was very proud of her prank idea - a creepy dare with a scare. She thought it was very well suited - Halloween was the day after after all, and had been planning it ever since she dared Del. She'd even revised a spell, just to make sure that she would succeed.
Es reached the forest. She had waited for a minute, just to check that Del wasn't watching, before sprinting across the grounds.
Estelle pulled out her wand and muttered fumos under her breath. The spell didn't succeed on her first try, but on her second she got it, and a cloud of dark smoke poured out from her wand. She waited for a minute, hoping this would creep Del out even more, before creeping towards her, tapping her on the shoulder and saying in her creepiest voice
"Boo"

Delilah's heart raced as she navigated the dark, shadowy grounds of Hogwarts on Halloween night. The dare with Es had been a spontaneous decision, and now she found herself regretting it as the eerie silence of the night surrounded her. Her footsteps echoed in the empty air, and every rustle of leaves made her jump.
Just as she thought about turning back, a sudden chill crawled up her spine. The air grew heavier, and Delilah's eyes widened as a cloud of dark smoke billowed from Es's wand. Panic set in, and her funny, dreamy nature gave way to a terrified mess. Insecurity gnawed at her as the ominous smoke lingered, creating an atmosphere that matched the haunting night.
When Es, with her mischievous grin, tapped Delilah's shoulder, a yelp escaped the timid Hogwarts student. Delilah whirled around, her wide eyes meeting Es's, who stood there with a sinister satisfaction. The "Boo" echoed in the night, and Delilah's reaction was a mix of fear and relief. She clutched her chest, breathing heavily, but then her anxiety transformed into a burst of nervous laughter. Delilah never claimed herself to be a brave courageous Gryffindor, she never understood why she was in that house in the first place. Delilah believed she was a total coward, sometimes she was insecure about it but most of the time she embraced it as if it was something to be proud of. Cowards were always the last to die in movies.
"Merlin's beard, Es! You nearly sent me to the afterlife," Delilah exclaimed, her voice shaky but filled with the realization that it was all a prank.
She walked in moon Dust, and Stars were sprinkled in her Hair...

Del let out a small amount of nervous laughter and Es joined in, laughing so hard she bet over, tears streaming down her face.
"I'm sorry... haha your expression was... haha just too funny."
Every time Es looked at Del's face, she burst into laughter again. It took her a minute to calm down, but Del's response set her off again.
After another minute, Es had finally calmed down and turned to Del, her eyes sparkling.
"That was one of the best reactions to my pranks that I have ever seen. Usually people just scowl but your face... haha... you looked so surprised. Sorry for laughing, I'll stop now - but it was hilarious."
Es turned towards the forest.
"You know, I've never been here at night - I kinda wanna see what it looks like in the darkness. I bet everything is way creepier than it is normally."
She felt her excitement rise the moment she had the idea. It seemed like a perfect option for a night near Halloween and she wasn't ready to go back to bed just yet. She had her camo cloak in her bag, in case Del had gone deeper into the forest but, luckily, she hadn't and Es hadn't needed it.
Frankly, the forest was giving its usual bad vibes and Es wasn't sure how deep into it she wished to go. Still, she was definately up for exploring the edge and she gave Del a pleading face.
