Samuel Moreno / Hufflepuff / 1st Year

Samuel, a muggle-born hufflepuff, is a boy with a love for animals and nature. Awkward, reclusive, and a boring appearance keeps him out of the spotlight- just what he likes. His knees are bruised from climbing trees, his favorite way to retreat and hide from people hes scared of.

Sam's hair is black with brown undertones. its kinda curly, messy and often not much different from what it would look like if he had just woken up. Its not short for a boy, it curls into his face and can get into his eyes often. Its often he gives up, hair covering one or both of his eyes until the wind blows it out of the way.

His eyes are brown. Theyre a chocolate color, dark chocolate. It holds a tired yet kind gaze, that can light up when something interesting is put before him. Sam's eyes almost always seems glazed over, even if he truely is paying attention.

Due to the ammount of time hes spent in trees and the bushes of cockatoo australia, his body is littered with healed bruises and scars from even rougher ones. His clumsiness leads to bandaids on his knees and arms, and his life on the beaches of australia seem to show through his tanned skin.

Samuel was born in Australia, but they had never intended to stay their his whole life. Course, he didnt know that. He never had the greatest childhood- His parents would fight about money and Samuel always found that he never seemed to fit in. He wasn't liked by most other children- he was too loud, too weird, too annoying. While the other kids would be playing, Samuel would want to pretend the plants were alive and talk to them or figure out what would happen if you ate them. When he was pushed away from the people around him, it ended up hurting at first, but eventually he learned to love being alone. When he was with people, he would find himself trying not to bother them- staying as quiet as possible and never really saying much. Even if it just labeled him as a freak. But when he would run out to the forest by himself, either to watch the animals or climb the trees, he knew he could be himself. He found his life within those trees, and prefered it.
Of course, his family wasnt too happy with that. They disliked how he isolated himself, unlike his brother Brian who seemed to make friends way too easily. They thought he was weird, and really wanted to shape him into what they though to be a 'normal person'. It never truely worked though, they learnt the only thing they could do is leave him be.

After one too many arguements about money, and after some saving, the Moreno Family moved to Pentyrch, Wales to live with sam's Aunt, Katie. Sam wasnt the happiest with the move- he didnt even have his own bedroom anymore, instead taking the couch as his 'living space' due to the lack of space. He was ridiculed due to being the new kid and his weirdness, but his brother Brian seemed to thrive in the new enviornment. The area wasnt what he was use to, and hiz family held more strict rules for him. He still snuck out, mainly to adventure and such, but he was often caught or got in trouble due to it, and his "sneaking out" would be slip out the front door when nobody is around, and if they notice, run for his life. When he wasnt grounded or sneaking about, he would often read.
