Day 1 Spectator

Damion was super excited for this day. He was sorta hoping that he would have been against his boyfriend, Hades but a part of him was glad that he wasn't duelling against Hades. It would have hurt him to attack his boyfriend. But well he would have if it meant winning. Anyways, he was not thinking about this at all. He looked at Hades as Hades walked into the Duelling arena. Damion couldn't stop grinning like an idiot when he saw Hades - the guy who was his boyfriend. He cheered him on loudly clapping and woohoing. He wanted to show Hades that he was there for him. "You have got it babycakes!!" Damion cheered on.

Damion was eager to see what happened in the duel. He was hoping that Hades would win this and not lose it like this ue last match he had witnessed. He was clapping and cheering Hades on more and more. A smile ever plastered on his face, which was glowing when he saw Hades on the stage. He sent flying kisses towards Hades. Something that he was willing to do was show his affections to Hades. "You can do it Hades!" Damion cheered on more and more.

Damion watched as the spells were sent here and there. He was sort of on the edge as he was hoping that none of the spells hit his boyfriend. Though he wanted his boyfriend's spells to hit the target. Damion sighed as he watched two rounds where Hades missed the target. It was alright. Damion was sure that it'll be alright. He was going to stay till the end to see what happened. Damion was not going to stop supporting the handsome curly haired boy he was in love with. He clapped and cheered Hades on. "Woohoo Hades you can do it. Just stay focused baby." Damion said. He was hoping that his words were not distracting his boyfriend from focusing. He didn't want to do that.

Damion watched as one of the Slytherin students cast a spell towards Hades in round two. Damion's heart was in his throat. He was hoping that the spell would not hit his precious boyfriend. Somehow Merlin listened and the spell didn't hit his boyfriend. He took a deep breath and smiled. This is what he wanted. He didn't want his boyfriend to be struggling with it. He watched the round with eagerness. He wanted to be there for his boyfriend. He smiled as he watched the same person who had tried to cast a spell on Hades, fall unconscious. Serves them right he thought. So now the Slytherin house had two people and Hufflepuff had three. Come on Puffs win it. He thought. "Come on Hades!! Come on Hufflepuff!!" Damion cheered on.

Things started to deteriorate faster than Damion would have liked to be honest. He had seen what he had hoped which was not the reality. He had wished that his Hades would not be hit. But the truth was in the last round (Round 2) a spell had hit Hades. It was only in Round one that the spells had not hit him. Damion cringed as he saw another spell hit his Hades. What the hell did people want. Why couldn't Hufflepuff just win a damn match. Damion watched and wished that he was there as a human shield for his babycakes. He was being very careful not to say something that he would regret later. He was after all a Prefect now too. But that didn't affect how he cheered the person whom he felt some romantic feelings for. "Come Hades!! You can still do better baby!" Damion said cheering boyfriend on. He didn't want Hades to not do good. Not that he wouldn't support him or anything else. A win for Hufflepuff in this match would be good. And Damion despite being in Ravenclaw wanted that.

Just imagine if the match was against him and Hades besides other people. Oh boy! He would have not want to hurt his Hades but also would have wanted to win. it was would have been a very tricky situation to be honest. "Come cutie pie! Focus!! You can do it!!" Damion cheered on. He was not gonna give up on Hades ever. He loved the other boy a lot and this win would mean a lot to him. He hoped the next round would be better for Hufflepuffs and Hades.

A part of Damion was happy to see how things were progressing for Hades and his team. With all three of the Hufflepuffs being able to target one of the Slytherins was good. A smile appeared as he saw the person they all had targeted fall down unconscious. One of the team mates of Hufflepuff also feel down unconscious. But well there were still two Hufflepuffs standing against one Slytherin. Damion was just hoping that his babycakes would win this since now the one Slytherin standing would only attack on one of the two targets of Hufflepuff right? "Come on babycakes!!" Damion cheered on. "You have got this." Damion said woohooing and cheering his boyfriend.

Nothing else would make Damion more happy than to see his boyfriend win this match. It would be the first win for Hades (probably). Definitely a first win since they started dating. Damion was eager to see how this duel ended. Nothing else was as important as seeing his Hades duel. Damion wanted to be a supportive boyfriend and was going to stay till the end of the duel. Damion was happy to see that his boyfriend was doing sorta better but he was not going to jinx it.

Damion grimaced when he saw that Hades' spell didn't hit the intended target. Damion was hoping that his boyfriend and his team would win the match. Things seemed that way, meaning that it was in the favor of the Hufflepuffs. They were two people on the Hufflepuff team and there was one opponent. "Come on Babycakes. Focus you can do it babe!" He said cheering his boyfriend. He wanted to be there for his babycakes.

Damion looked at the other player who was conscious on Hufflepuff team and noticed that she had also missed the target. "Come on Hufflepuff!! You can do it!!" Damion cheered on Hufflepuff. He wanted to be there for his babaycakes and Hades' house- Hufflepuff. He was eager to see how the duel went. He was really hoping that Hufflepuff would win. He wanted that mostly because Damion had not seen Hades win any duel so far. He didn't want Hades to feel disheartened about Duelling. He was himself on his house's duelling team- which he had joined recently. He thought it was sorta funny that he and his boyfriend and the guy he had his first kiss with were in their respective houses' duelling team.

Damion looked at the Duel in front of him. "Go babycakes. Go!!" He said looking at Hades, hoping that Hades could hear his voice and feel encouraged to do well.

Damion watched as his babycakes fell unconscious. Damn it! His heart felt like it was breaking. Oh damn! Damion watched as his poor boyfriend was hit with not only a spell but also the lightening. Damn it! it was not good! Damion was happy to look at Hades for a second there (in Round 5). He was not going to go away. He wished he was there to protect his boyfriend. He wished that he would have blocked the spell falling on Hades. His heart was breaking as tears fell down his face as he watched his unconscious boyfriend.

It was not fair at all. He was really hoping that with how the duel was going- Hades and his team could have won. Maybe the remaining person might be able to win. Despite Hades being unconscious. He hated that Hades was not conscious. Damion could feel tears flowing down on his face and didn't care about it. He really loved the other boy who had fallen unconscious. He was hoping it was a dream and not the reality. He wished that he could do something but there was nothing he could do about it to be honest. He looked at Hades still not ready to leave this place yet without knowing the result of the duel.

november 4th 2023, 1230, watching match 5

Today was just a busy day for her. Alyssea's time management was just splendid. Earlier in the morning, she'd been at Hogsmeade buying candy with Harmony and in a few hours from now she was hosting her first race (unofficial, but still her first nonetheless). But she promised herself she would watch her captain [Lea] duel at some point and this was gonna be it. The only time Alyssea had seen her skill was at that excursion in the Hufflepuff commons with a well-aimed Flipendo at the snake Clark had conjured.

After all, her first duel was tomorrow (also against Gryffindor, what were the odds?) and it would be worth it to spend some time watching the seniors do it. You know, learn a few tricks in the book. The most Alyssea had figured about duelling was from practice matches she'd done the past month or two and whatever duels she'd watched in that same timeframe.

Yes, she was slightly late, but she still took a seat to watch. By the time she had arrived, it looked as if Hufflepuff was in a good spot even if it was hard to tell. Were Gryffindor hard to hit? Or had they been hitting themselves? Alyssea had her fair share of critical failures and she could only hope it wouldn't happen tomorrow.

As much as she was supportive, she was attentive and serious about watching to learn. She would grin whenever the odds turned in Hufflepuff's favour and even moreso impressed at Lea's spells. Part of Alyssea was glad these were her housemates because she would run if she ever duelled them.

Match 5

Colin didn't know any of the Hufflepuffs on the piste. He looked at the duelling card. Lucia, Lea and Jake. They were all older than him. He knew from experience that older kids could really fling some dangerous spells! But on the Gryffindor side, Colin had seen Aries a couple times, and had no idea who Elsa was.

One might ask why a Slytherin lad was in the stands to watch a duel when his own house wasn't fighting and especially when he didn't know anyone! He felt that there was still a lot of anti-Slytherin feeling in Hogwarts. Maybe some of the old hatreds still lived on. Colin paid that ancient history no mind. Although he was a Snek, he was, in fact, a fan of Gryffindor duelling!

Well --- not quite a fan of Gryffindor but a fan of certain Gryffindors.

In particular, his little sister @Lily Isobel McCoire, and before she left Hoggys, his older cousin Regina Miller. But today, Match 5, was different. Colin was here to watch, and perhaps in some way support his estranged friend Kim Aoki. They were close in first year and going into second. But circumstances had drawn Colin away...

As the duel began, Colin's eyes remained fixed on Kim. Usually, he'd be excited to watch the magic fly, but this felt different. Kim had always been close with his emotions, neither denying nor letting on what he was feeling. But as Colin focused, it was his eyes that let him peek inside his friend's heart just a little. Ironic that he should focus on Kim's eyes.

The stupid Puff slang an obscuro at Kim, and he fired back in kind!

Colin smirked. That was a really good spell, and he'd used a few times in racing to good effect! Fortunately, Kim evaded, and the flying bandana shot off into the distance, while Kim's own cast was at least partially successful. Colin nodded in satisfaction. Even though Kim's second attempt at the blindfold spell didn't hit, at least it was a good cast! The Puff Pastry was just too quick.

Colin tracked Kim's eyes. There was clearly an interior struggle going on. He wasn't sure what to make of it. Kim loved duelling, yet he seemed to be not quite here, in the moment. Kim cast again! Colin's ears perked up at the familiar incantation --- a favourite of his, and his now departed cousin's trademark incendio duo. Sadly it fizzled on the wand. Kim was really having a hard time of it!

His eyes flicked back from Kim's wand to his friend's eyes. They were changing. Colin couldn't quite pin it down, but something was clearly happening inside the Gryff. Something dark, if Colin's experience taught him anything. For a moment, his heart caught in his throat. He never thought Kim would waver in a duel, but it almost looked like he might! What was going on? Colin had no idea. Kim just seemed to stand there. His actions seemed to be more mechanical, like the training dummies. Without much thought; without heart.

Colin felt increasingly sad. He had no idea what was going on with Kim; and was at a complete loss for what to do.

Then the whole piste exploded! Literally! One of the Badgers led the final assault against the Lions with a solid blasting spell. Colin was impressed at how well it was cast. He could think of a couple kids he'd like to try that on! --- Heheh. Finn Conner! But that wasn't the end of the onslaught. Other spells zipped across the foggy space, and one seemed to hit Kim --- from one of his team mates!?

Colin stood up with a cry. "Oi!" He shouted. The umpire called for a pause. It was so hard to see! Kim lay crumpled on the floor! He wasn't moving! "You wank! Ye're supposed to aim at the Badgers!" Colin didn't care any more about the duel. Welp, the last Lion could carry on and hopefully not lose, though it didn't look good.

Colin turned and left the stands. Whatever was going on with Kim was too much. He would have to go and find his friend. It was bad enough the lad had his natural black hair for three months straight! But to just --- give up this way. That wasn't like Kim.

Damion was so focused on the match that his boyfriend, Hades was in that he didn't pay much attention to the second match going on. His heart was feeling a little shattered as his babycakes aka Hades had fallen unconscious but had still won the match. He glanced over to the second stage just in time to see Kim fall unconscious. A part of him hoped that Kim's house would win the match. Same thing could happen again. Hades had fallen unconscious but his house had won.

Maybe just maybe, Gryffindors could focus and do well. Just maybe!! He was not sure if that was going to happen. Since he could see that the balance was very uneven. But he was still staying positive. Miracles did happen didn't they?

Damion was sitting there and watching hoping that the Gryffindor team would win this match which seemed impossible. It was Three Hufflepuffs versus One Gryffindor. Well that would need a Miracle- a good one. Where the remaining Gryffindor Student is able to dodge spells thrown at her and is able to strike more than one person if that was possible. He was going to wait and see how this goes. He was hoping for a miracle but well miracles solemnly happened but Damion was gonna still hold his breath and count the stars for this miracle to happen.
