Another year, another Quidditch season. Where did the time go? Jorah marched with pride unto the pitch with a broom in one hand and bat in the other. The young buck was clad in his Quidditch gear; leather helmet, padded bracers, and a magnificent bellowing blue cape emblazoned with a bronze 29. Jorah was eager to get back in air and spread his wings. As he crossed the benches, he spotted Aly who met his gaze with a wave. Jorah tried to wave back, but instead fumbled with his broom and dropped it in the grass. What came next could only be described as an awkward combination of a cough, laugh, and sneeze. We'll call it a cleeze.

Face flushed, Jorah picked up his broom and curtly retreated. Once in position, he straddled his broom and kicked off into the air with thoughts of freckles.

Cecily was itching to get back on the pitch in a real game. Sure, practice and scrimmages tided her over in between, but there was nothing like the real thing. After a long summer back at home, she was more than ready to get back in the air with her team and win this thing by a landslide. They'd had good luck against Slytherin in the past, especially last year, and there was no reason why today should be any different. They'd practiced, they'd trained, and they'd developed bigger and better strategies that would blow those snakes' minds.

She turned to her team, a serious look on her face. "Alright, team. I know you've all put in the work. Now it's time to show it." A grin broke through, betraying her excitement. She gripped her broom tight, looked to the sky, and kicked off. And here we go.

The clear sky and uncharacteristic warmth of the Scottish Highlands really made for a perfect day for Quidditch.

The thing was, though, the weather itself couldn't create perfection. Koko knew this, and she was pretty sure her teammates did, too. Of course, while the expectation wasn't perfection... It would be nice to win. Especially against Ravenclaw. Sometimes, revenge tasted sweet and was best served high in the sky on a bright autumn day.

Revenge wasn't typically something Koko held in high regard. In fact, in recent months, she hadn't held much at all in high regard. Quidditch was largely her life, the only thing that made her eyes glint mischievously and her lips turn up at the corners. On the Quidditch Pitch, her Slytherin Quidditch robes on and her broom in hand, she felt almost happy, almost carefree. This revenge she thought of would make her day, her month, perhaps even her year ─ if they could pull it off.

The short blonde would glance around, surveying each of her teammates, hoping her gentle gaze conveyed pride in each and every one of them. 'We're going to win this,' she said. She would smile in an attempt to corroborate her statement. 'And it will feel amazing when we do. But more importantly, do your best. Have fun.' Quidditch was a game, after all, even if Koko would not be taking her own advice to heart. She could get rather competitive in the midst of the game. 'We've got this. Cloud Cobras for the win!'

She would wait to see if Dan wanted to say anything before mounting her new broom. It was certainly different, and she wasn't used to it. Koko generally preferred racing brooms, but something about the Pine Chopper felt sturdy. It took quite a bit of effort to carry, and Koko hoped her impulsive investment was worth it as she gazed around at her team and their opponents. It didn't matter what she hoped, though ─ it would be worth it. They would win this. And when they did, they would have a real shot at the Quidditch Cup this year.

When Renelle signed up for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team a while back, she hadn’t expected to be playing anytime soon. There were so many interested students, and it appeared that it was going to be quite a long time before she got in.

Walking out into the Quidditch pitch, the cool autumn air perfect for the match ahead, the first year took a deep breath. Maybe there had been some truth in her prediction, she mused thoughtfully, for she wasn’t going to be taking part in the actual action for this game, and instead had a few hours of sitting on the bench, watching from the sidelines to look forward to.

The Ravenclaw wasn’t disappointed though- far from it, in fact. True, it would’ve been fun to play in the match, but she wasn’t really that experienced in the game of Quidditch, apart from watching it at times, back before she had started school. It would be good for her to observe the actions of these experienced players, and might even make her better at the sport before she joined in.

Besides, no one could argue that this was the best viewpoint for watching a game.

Mari was on the bench but couldn't help but smile because she was in her first Quidditch match, she didn't have much hope of getting in, but being there was already incredible as she had a huge love for Quidditch.

She began to see her teammates preparing to enter, or if they entered, and this would undoubtedly be an exciting match, and while Mari was on the bench she was filled with pride at finally being able to see herself in the uniform of Slytherin Quidditch, and enjoying the incredible surroundings by moving his fingers of light nerves, and took a breath as the game was about to begin

xxThe first game of the new season was sure to bring more enthusiasm and energy than Maggie had felt thus far in the school year. While yes, she’d experienced her fair share of boring classes as her education became more and more comprehensive, she’d long since forgotten how frustrating and annoying Quidditch could be in lieu of believing it to be the best game of all time. Such was life. She took the field, waving to her adoring fans with a long, drawn out smile on her face. Performance was her passion!

The adrenaline was rushing through Lavinia as she stepped out on the field for the first game of the year. Her team comprised of new and old players were ready and she was sure this game would go in their favor. Equipped with a new broom and new sets of strategy, Lavinia was excited for what this year for quidditch would hold for Ravenclaw. In theory it was going to be great, but today was the test day and she would rise to the occasion.

Focused and determined on winning, Lavinia smiled at each of her teammates and took together field. This was going to be a wonderful win.

I walked up to the quidditch pitch, so this is it. I had never really seen much of a Quidditch match before, and now I was about to be in one, but as a second string of course. I was pretty nervous, but this was exciting! I walked up some more and sat down. I probably wouldn’t actually get to play today, but I’d get to watch, which would help probably just as much. I could learn how to play even better, I’ll probably just watch our seeker.

Quidditch-Slytherin v. Ravenclaw

Perhaps for some the day would be ruined by having to sit through the game but for Tristan it was but a chance to observe and see the people around him, in his house, in a new light. It was also an opportunity to honor the Lord no matter what it was that he might be required to do. It was an opportunity whether he was benched or somehow was able to be a part of the plays. Perhaps indeed this indicated a great change over the summer after he had come to ascribe to the Christian faith. He was certainly much more mellow of a person than before. But whatever it is that he is able to do, he was excited to at least motivate his other teammates. It was his first time in five years that he was participating after all.
