Character Questionnaire
- Where were they raised?
Lilliana was born and raised in Birmingham. Having sparsely ventured out of the city limits, the town was all she knew until she came to Hogwarts.
- Is their family wealthy? Poor? Comfortable?
From her dad’s side (the Havenmores), they possessed great wealth, having been a well known family of the wizarding community for generations, nearly all of upper class jobs. Her mum’s side, ancestors all veela, were similarly viewed in their community. Lilliana lived with her aunt from her dad’s side for most of her life, who was a squib. Because of this, her lifestyle wasn’t as luxurious as the rest of her relatives, but still lived comfortably and never faced financial problems.
- How do they feel about that?
She doesn’t have much emotion to her wealth, since to her, their standard of living is “ordinary”.
- Did they have a happy childhood? Despite living in a rich environment, Lilliana rarely felt the true feeling of happiness. Never receiving affection from her aunt, as well as thinking she was never good enough for her biological parents, she had low self esteem for the entirety of her
childhood. Living in the toxic environment has taken a toll on her personality, which has improved since she began attending Hogwarts, but never to the point where she once was.
- Before their Hogwarts letter, what was their most influential life event? Good or bad.
Before the Hogwarts Letter arrived, the most influential event to Lilliana was when her parents showed her toward her aunt’s doorstep, which she didn’t know at the time would be the last moment she saw her parents. Their leaving caused her a lot of self doubt for the following years.
- What is their favorite clothing style? Having been taught to always look presentable, she often wore elegant clothing, wearing tones of white and beige often. After discovering her Veela ancestry after her first year, her style has gradually shifted towards dark academia in hopes of standing out less.
- Do they have any favorite game(s)?
Never bothering with games in her childhood, Lilliana’s drifted towards reading rather than playing, though she has begun to take an interest in wizard chess.
- What sort of music do they like?
She doesn’t particularly listen to music much, but classical music often plays in her manor, so she’s grown accustomed to it.
- What's their favorite book genre?
Liking fantasy stories from a young age, the genre has always been close to her heart. She likes being able to escape into a different world, under different circumstances.
- Which class is their favorite?
Lilliana was always above her peers when it came to Defense Against the Dark Arts and Charms, but she took a liking in Potions. She enjoys classes involving wandwork in general over the others.
- How would they prefer to travel? (Hippogriff, broom, car, etc.)
Lilliana prefers using “safer” methods like the Floo Network to get to places. However, she’s always wanted to travel using a creature, for the experience.
- Is there a broom they want? If they already have their favorite, what makes it great?
Disliking Flying from a young age, the girl never took interest in the sport, although in her second year she begins to try overcoming the fear.
- What do they look for in a friend?
A passionate and ambitious friend with similar interests as Lills and a little mischief here and there is what she looks for in a friend, though what she really needs is someone stable and supportive there for her.
- What would your character see in the Mirror of Erised?
Driven by ambition, Lilliana would see herself in the mirror successful, with stability.
- What is their strongest trait? (Feel free to list two or three)
Stubborn, Ambitious and Self-Centered.
- Who do they admire most?
Never having a figure to look up to as a child, she didn’t admire her aunt but she unknowingly gained some of the traits of her aunt.
- Is there someone they wish they could meet?
Having always wanting to ask her parents why they had left, Lilliana would want to see her parents one last time to have a conversation with them.
- Are they typically underestimated (in strength, intelligence, maturity, etc)?
Perceived by looks, or occasionally personality, her intelligence often gets overlooked by her peers, multiple unaware of her high marks in classes.
- What do they like about themselves?
She likes her resilience.
- Do they have a motto, mantra, or favorite quote?
If your ambition requires you to walk through hell, walk like you own the place.

Character Questionnaire
OOC remarks (those that Archer is yet to know about) will be italicised

Where were they raised?
Since birth, Archer had been raised on the Isle of Skye, in the large estate the Duncan parents had bought, because Archer's mother felt deeply drawn to the Scottish mountains that it led into. However, his parents also took him to spend the summer and Christmas in Lyon, France, his mother's birthplace.

After his mother's death, Archer and his father would move to the Duncan Manor, Edinburgh, a choice Archer is severely against. However, Archer's father cannot bear to live with the memories of his late wife
Is their family wealthy? Poor? Comfortable?
The Duncans are an incredibly wealthy family. Despite their slight drop in money and reputation during the time of Archer's grandfather and his nonsensical poems, Archer's father managed to earn everything lost back with his bestselling novels. Their wealth only increased when Archer's mother, heir to a quarter of the François fortune, married Archer's father.
How do they feel about that?
Archer had never cared about wealth and is mostly oblivious to how it had provided him with many of his favourite books and other opportunities. Perhaps he might never learn that wealth was not a given.
Did they have a happy childhood?
Incredibly so. Archer's childhood was unburdened by the strict expectations numerous other wealthy pure-blood children share. He was free to explore the vast grounds or get lost in literary worlds whenever he wanted to. His parents had always been loving and supportive, always a step behind him and there to catch him and homeschooled him in multiple subjects, mundane to magical. His best friend, Scout, the family coonhound, also accompanied him ever since he was adopted on Archer's sixth birthday.

Obviously, all of this would drastically change following the death of Archer's mother, and Archer would find himself spiralling down a funnel of misery, one that he would hopefully step out of and overcome as he grows and learns to move on. There is no doubt this would leave an impact on both his childhood and adulthood.
Before their Hogwarts letter, what was their most influential life event? Good or bad.
Nothing of much significance happened to Archer before his acceptance into Hogwarts, which was a given already.
What is their favorite clothing style?
Archer has no particular favourite style of himself. However, his father dresses him in the exquisite suits he loves so much, even though his tastes align much better with his mother's more practical clothing, fit for her exploring.
Do they have any favorite game(s)?
Archer enjoys games of fetch with Scout, chess with his father, and hide and seek with his mother.
What sort of music do they like?
Archer's mother always played a muggle piano piece for him: Moonlight Sonata. However, she never learnt the name when she accidentally memorised it while running way from her family in Paris. Archer could listen to it time and time over, but would not learn its name, at least not now. Apart from this specific tune, he enjoys to listen to anything his mother plays on the piano, or his father plays on the enchanted phonograph.
What's their favorite book genre?
While Archer loves all books, he especially enjoys poetry. In fact, his favourite line of poetry, which had always kept him motivated was one by the Muggle poet Algernon Charles Swinburne: That even the weariest river / Winds somewhere safe to sea. However, he also enjoys reading literary fiction, journals, mythologies, and anything else he could get his hands on.

As he grows, Archer would be more drawn to non-fiction, autobiographies, biographies, diaries, and memoirs instead.
Which class is their favorite?
While Archer loves all classes equally, expect for flying, which he is somewhat afraid of, if he must pick, he would choose potions, because he loves the exquisite precision in the delicate art of alchemy.
How would they prefer to travel? (Hippogriff, broom, car, etc.)
Archer's family prefers to travel to the city where the event is held by wizarding train first, since they live quite far out on the Isle of Skye, and then go to the specific location by either broom or carriage, and possible apparition of one parent. Archer himself has no preferred method to travel.
Is there a broom they want? If they already have their favorite, what makes it great?
Not currently. As mentioned above, Archer is not the most fond of flying.

Fear of flying/heights would be one Archer would shed around his third/fourth year and he would likely be buying (if my resources allow for one) a Moontrimmer around his fifth year when he would develop an interest for broom racing.
What do they look for in a friend?
Archer has never actively "checked a criteria" for friendship, but he refers back to a quote from muggle Fyodor Dostoyevsky: “I want to talk about everything with at least one person as I talk about things with myself.” For him, the people that perfectly fits is his mother and father. However, ever since coming to Hogwarts, he has been hoping for another one of these "miracles" of friendship.
What would your character see in the Mirror of Erised?
Archer had always imagined he would see himself a scholar, as successful as his parents, surrounded by mountains of books, a fresh sheet of parchment rolled out onto the table and an inkpot and quill freshly prepared.

Of course, after his second and throughout most of his Hogwarts education, perhaps up until his sixth year, he would see his mother, reunited with him and playing a game of hide and seek with him or playing the Moonlight Sonata to him. He would see everything mundane thing he used to take for granted. Perhaps as he moved on from his mother's death, Archer would see other things instead.
What is their strongest trait? (Feel free to list two or three)
Archer's strongest trait is his intelligence, above all else, such as loyalty and the ability to keep himself composed under pressure. Archer is very clearly book smart, though perhaps lacking in street smarts. He can memorise information quickly, is incredibly adept at writing and even mapmaking, and is precise with his calculations and measurements.
Who do they admire most?
Archer had always and will always admire his mother, above all others. Marguerite Duncan was a woman who wasn't afraid to boldly refuse the traditional pureblood rules, yet still carried herself with her own confidence and elegance. She is the pluckiest, most loving and most caring person Archer had never met and is someone he will forever love.
Is there someone they wish they could meet?
There is no particular person Archer wants to meet. Why would he when he has already got both parents to look up to?

Of course, after his mother's death, Archer would long for any chance to reconnect with her and have her back.
Are they typically underestimated (in strength, intelligence, maturity, etc)?
Archer is often underestimated, especially in his intelligence. Archer can be timid about speaking his ideas, for, being a very sensitive young boy, he is afraid to be criticised. He had learnt that the students of Hogwarts are unlike his parents, who will support him with his every step, and can instead be overly judgemental, as the world it.
What do they like about themselves?
A very good question which Archer had never considered, but by all means, should.
Do they have a motto, mantra, or favorite quote?
That even the weariest river / Winds somewhere safe to sea. -- The Garden of Proserpine, Algernon Charles Swinburne

I am not even singed. My wings are untouched. You use them for everything, except flight.

Character Questionnaire
Where were they raised?
London, in a village out where there aren't many muggles
Is their family wealthy? Poor? Comfortable?
Definitely wealthy. Minnie grew up in a mansion for goodness sakes!
How do they feel about that?
Completely fine, not mean or rude about it at all.
Did they have a happy childhood?
Mostly. There are occasional sad moments in Minnie's childhood, in which she her pet has died, or a friend or family member has been mean or rude to her, or per say, an entire village avoids her...
Before their Hogwarts letter, what was their most influential life event? Good or bad.
It would have to be when the entire village found out about Minnie's metamorphmagus powers and avoided her. It was a pure blood village, so it was fine, but it still hurt plenty. And she met Theo, her crush.
What is their favorite clothing style?
An odd one for sure. Minnie loves to wear short dresses and jeans. She likes the way it looks and feels. Her style is a mix of comfort and style.
Do they have any favorite game(s)?
Maybe Frisbee, as she plays with her family and friends a lot out where she is.
What sort of music do they like?
Pop music and also soothing nature like music. It depends on her mood really.
What's their favorite book genre?
Mystery. Or History. She's a fact lover, so she likes history, but she does love a good mystery. Especially odd muggle ones in which they use things that aren't wands for murder.
Which class is their favorite?
Astronomy, she loves looking at the stars and she admires the teacher.
How would they prefer to travel? (Hippogriff, broom, car, etc.)
A broom would be preferable for short distances, but a magical animal such as a hippogriff would be what she would want for a longer journey.
Is there a broom they want? If they already have their favorite, what makes it great?
She wants a firebolt, the best broom there is. She loves the way it flies, and hopes to upgrade from her sad nimbus 2001 once she gets the money.
What do they look for in a friend?
Someone kind and reasonable, who doesn't judge others and will be loyal, not telling on Minnie when she does some troublemaking things, or not minding her awareness and shyness.
What would your character see in the Mirror of Erised?
Herself, with all of her family and friends, at a party and dancing blissfully, not having any worries and also with her pet Opal still alive. She would see no worries, and all happiness.
What is their strongest trait? (Feel free to list two or three)
Kindness and Loyalty. She is a Hufflepuff after all. Although, one might argue Troublemaking is one of them.
Who do they admire most?
Her older sister, Lil. She has kindness and is good at making friends. She also knows how to impress their parents, which Minnie so desperately wants to know. Lil is also famous for her troublemaking skills, even more so than Minnie herself.
Is there someone they wish they could meet?
The Minister of Magic. She would love to learn from him/her and if she's feeling devious, prank him/her.
Are they typically underestimated (in strength, intelligence, maturity, etc)?
In the subject of smarts, yes. As she is shy and doesn't always speak up in class, most think she isn't all too bright. In reality, she's very smart, and even her parents don't always grasp that as they sometimes look at her and see a disappointment as a Hufflepuff. But that doesn't happen much with her parents, mostly just other kids at school.
What do they like about themselves?
She likes....not much. A self conscious person, she really only likes just a few things about herself. She thinks of herself as nice, so I guess she likes that about herself.
Do they have a motto, mantra, or favorite quote?
Yup! An old classic from the Duke family. "I don't break the rules, I expand them for my need."

I don't break the rules, I expand them for my need.
