Awwww Def felt that Astra. I used to have an old account I deactivated to make Helena and I actually enjoyed my old character but I had lost motive and story for her so I made Lena it is all a learning process and a great one to. I absolutely enjoy what I have done and started with Helena for sure another thing that has helped with my journey here and all of the amazing writers helping improve my writing and all. It takes time, but everyone portrays their child differently and it amazing to see the different personalities

Fully agree, Lena, fully agree. Honestly writing any character is a learning process cos it's like yes this person lives in your head and technically you can change them however you want but you also want to let them breathe and have their own story and let them be them yk? Idk I probably sound crazy but that's my personal experience with characters, they just kinda tell their own story

Good evening, all!

Be kind to one another. (*iNPC is Miles Thatcher)

I'm leaning toward the let them be their own person as you say, @Astra Norrick.

I actually had a previous character here who begged me to deactivate them because they didn't enjoy going to Hogwarts... if it makes sense.

The world is in despair not because there are many bad people, but because there are many good people who do nothing.

Evening, Simon!

Yeah that makes total sense Maverick! You can't force a character to do something they don't want to if you want a character who's going to have good growth and a meaningful story

Oh I agree with a hundred percent for sure! I mean I have some things planned for Lena mainly first year and second rather not burn out so soon. So totally not crazy I have the same thought process many people tend to do things differently but how I see it which sounds totally insane in a way is these are our character we control their lives and their actions like a big game of sims for them. So when we make a mistake they gotta live with it and how we roll with it can make it or break it. But at the same time this is not our story but our characters story their childhood their family life their friends their heartbreak it all falls on us as the writer to help them process but also think how would they process these scenarios will they break under pressure or pull through it is all interesting to think the less, but the story is really not ours but theirs if that makes any sense at all.

Also Hellllllooooooooo Simon and Maverick hope you all are amazing today <3

Oh my goodness yes yes yes all of the above!!

I have like one writer friend irl but they're still learning this concept so I don't really have anyone to chat with about my very rebellious characters who don't really like to do what I tell them to lol
