Astra was about to cast the General Counter-Spell to end both her and Delainie's spells at once, but she suddenly dropped to the ground. She landed sort of sideways with a bang, but was luckily able to roll so all of her momentum wouldn't break something. Not that it was a lot of momentum, given how light she was, but still. Better safe than sorry.

Her legs brought her to her feet. She sighed, remembering she was still dancing. Ugh. "Finite Incantatem!" she cast loudly, watching Delainie for any type of reaction. After all, that was a second year spell.

Astra was not disappointed with the result of her tiny show of showboating. The other seethed with anger and yelled out "Incendio!" only for the flame to hit her robes.

"Feeling the heat yet, bird?" Astra teased. She wished she knew Delainie's last name, it was an insult to Renelle and other good birds for this petty blonde to be associated with them.

Astra had learned her lesson last round and soon stopped her moment of celebration. After all, this duel was far from over. I have a fighting chance. And if I don't win now, I will work until I do.

Astra was now thinking that, even if the girls hadn't have met the way they did, and even if emotions weren't high and rage running rampant, she still would've had an issue with Delainie. The bird was petty and stooped low to wound another's pride and honor, and though part of this whole ordeal was Astra's fault, if the blonde had just communicated with her, it wouldn't have come to this.

The duel between Delainie and Astra continued. Both duellists were in their positions and were ready to shoot some spells. Delainie tried to attempt Green Sparks Charm, a spell that could be learnt in the DADA class. Despite the flame that burnt her outfit, she could still cast the spell successfully. However, Astra could easily evade the spell and make the sparks light far from her. Zach saw that silently and judged the duel not far from the piste.

Astra, after she could free herself from the disadvantages, tried another Dancing-Feet Charm. It was cast successfully and also hit the target, making Delainie once again dance. This time, the pale-blonde-haired girl was dancing tap. The staccato tapping sound from her shoewear could be heard in the entire room. Tap... tap tap tap... tap tap... The sound rhythmically made Zach want to dance with her.

While both of the girls were shooting their spells, Zach was evaluating the result of this round quickly. "Okay. Let's move to the next round!" Zach said loudly. "Prepared your wand and shoot your spells again! May the odds be in your favour!" Zach moved his position more near to the piste. He also pulled his wand to be prepared if anything would happen in the next round.

I'm still using the duelling system before it's updated, so the AP buff wouldn't; happen here as for the last 6 rounds we're still using the old system. Have fun!

Astra was dialed in once again, it seemed (she doesn't want to jinx herself) as Delainie's green sparks flew by harmlessly. The redhead thought about making a sarcastic quip, but quickly disregarded the idea. As funny as it may be, nothing was more important than winning right now.

Her sidestep was quickly corrected and she stood with straight posture. Surely all those dancing feet spells, such as the one she was about to cast, would have their toll on the bird. Her legs had to be exhausted or nearly so. Though, perhaps she is a dancer. Or a gymnast. Or a runner. No, no, that's a bit of a stretch, to equate a runner's leg strength with those.

Perhaps Astra had not quite learned her lesson, as she flicked her wand like it was the most inconsequential thing in the world and said "Tarantallegra" far less carefully than she should've, but it worked and it worked quite well. Delainie began dancing tap. Astra smirked. She had been around dancers throughout her primary school years. Her most frequent acquaintances were actually competition dancers, and they hated tap. Aunt Seren, who had herself danced before coming to Hogwarts, had once said tap was the hardest type of dance for her. Of course, there's also ballet, but none of them did that, so.

Point was, Astra knew tap was tiring, and was hoping that would help her beat the blonde faster.

“Verdemillious!” I yelled, pointing my want at the annoying Astra Norrick. To my great disappointment and anger, I missed the spell, and by a lot it seemed. I huffed, I didn’t want this girl to think she was better than me, even if she was when it came to duelling. I needed to win, I really did, but I wasn’t sure if I would, but that’s really the only thing that I cared about at the moment.
Astra threw the dancing feet spell at me, again. I hoped that it would backfire in her like it did before, that was really funny, but sadly not. I started doing some rap dancing, it was fairly embarrassing, but I was more joust mad right now. I tried my best to stop as quickly as possible but it’s not easy for a normal wizard to defy magic. I gave Astra a dirty look. I hated her, I thought a duel might help me get my anger out, but it really just made it worse. And it probably boosted this girls ego, which for a while I didn’t even think was possible, she was just so… rude. I needed to win now, even if she was ahead i needed to.

Astra Norrick Win The Duel

This last duel was intense. Delainie while dancing tap, managed to cast Dancing-Feet Charm at Astra. Not only that, her spell hit her opponent successfully, making Astra dance ballet. And we could see two girls dancing, one dancing tap and the other dancing ballet. They were like doing a dance battle instead of duelling.

Actually, the effect of the previous spell started to wear off. However, the red-haired girl seemed didn't want her opponent to stop dancing. So she cast another Dancing-Feet Charm at Delainie, making her to continue her tap dance and the dance battle continued.

Zach from the side of the piste looked at the Delainie. He saw that she had started to look not exhausted and couldn't continue the duel. He immediately stepped into the piste with his wand ready in his hand. "Stop! We have the winner," Zach shouted. "Congratulations to Astra for winning this match!" Zach said to the red-haired girl, giving the girl a clueless warm smile.

Didn't want to make Delainie's exhaustion become worse because of the dance, Zach cast General-Counter Spell to stop her dancing.

Then she stopped dancing tap. Zach ran to her and stood near the pale-blonde-haired girl to be prepared if she fell.

The boy also pointed his wand at Astra and cast the same spell at her. "Finite Incantatem," he cast.

The red-haired girl also stopped her ballet. Then he looked at Delainie again and asked, "How do you feel? Are there any wounds? Should we go to the Hospital Wings?" The boy tried to assess her and was waiting for the girl to respond. He also somewhat wondered what the red-haired girl would do to her opponent. They seemed to have some problem that needed to be solved, judging by how they duel. But it was all in his thought and he might be wrong as he didn't understand what had happened between them.

Astra sighed heavily as the dancing feet spell was yet again her move. Really, I need to be more interesting. "Tarantallegra," she cast again, once more carelessly and Delainie continued her tap routine.

The bird also cast the same spell, this one hitting Astra as she tried to dodge, turning her step into a flat-footed arabesque. Astra groaned. Oh no. And to think she had just been thinking about ballet. She piroutted on pointe with a wince. Her sneakers were not cut out for this.

She raised her wand once more to cast the General Counter-Spell on herself, but Zach ran up and announced that she had won. Her eyes widened as she performed a rond de jambe into a demi-plié. Wait, what?

Zach cast finite incantatem on each girl, and Astra almost fell from being on pointe. Luckily, she was able to save herself with at least a semblance of grace.

Finally having the time, she knelt down to her singed robe edge and peered at her ankle. It wasn't stinging, just looked a little warm. Almost like a light sunburn. She sighed in relief. Her hand simply had cinders on it.

She walked past Delainie as she left, brushing the cinders (now cold, of course) discreetly at the blonde as she thanked Zach for moderating.

If I could beat her with only three spells... what else can I do? "Hope you had fun losing, Delainie," she said in a cheery voice, almost as if she was complimenting the girl. How ironic.

And so she left the duelling room, twirling her wand like a drumstick. And if she wants to fight the Muggle way... well. I can do that, too. She was confident and sure in her steps, walking with a purpose. People moved out of her way, out of the stare of her piercing blue eyes untouched by the green they usually carried now that she was in Slytherin. She looked the part right now, even if she hadn't have been wearing her uniform. Snakes eat birds. She'd do well to remember that.
