Simon could hear the crunch of leaves with every step that he took as he made his way to the bench that was just outside the grove of trees where the flyers instructed members of the LUMOS! Camera Club, the wizarding photography club at Hogwarts, to meet for their October meeting. It was a pleasant 55°F (13°C) outside and while he wasn't cold, Simon did wear a sweatshirt as the sun was bright but still allowed a bright blue sky to illuminate and contrast all the beautiful Autumn colors around the school grounds. With the exception of possible harsh shadows, this was the perfect day to take some photographs around the school grounds.
Members were to meet, bringing their own camera or borrowing one of the school's and they would take several Fall-themed photographs before choosing their one favorite to submit for a Photo Share.
Once it was time to get started and most of the members had arrived, Simon flashed a bright smile before beginning. "Good afternoon, LUMOS! Glad all of you could make it. As you can see, the Scottish Highlands have dressed up in yellow, orange, red, russet, gold, and amber hues to welcome us into Autumn. Today's mission is to take photographs, lots of them, and add the ones you like into your photography notebook and select your very best one to submit into our Photo Share. Capture the beauty of Autumn here at Hogwarts If you haven't yet picked up your photography notebook, you'll find your copy here on the bench," he motioned to the one nearby.
"If you should have any questions on how to work your camera or need help with development later in the Room of Requirement, please let me know. I'd be happy to assist you and most likely there are other members who are willing to do the same. Alright then, happy shooting, LUMOS! Shine on, and remember to be kind to one another."

If someone else has already selected the one that you picked, you'll have to find another. I've got some saved if you're feeling lost. Don't hesitate to ask for help!

| ─── | It was Saturday, October 14th, 2023.
LUMOS Camera Club was having another meeting and Kim was there to attend said meeting on his own. Strangely, for those who knew him, Kim was still sporting black hair, despite it being a new month. Last month and the two months before that it had also been black. Which should have alerted those who knew him well that something was seriously wrong with him. The fourteen year old arrived at the grounds with his enchanted backpack and wizard camera dangling from a strap around his neck. After all, it was a camera club, they would be using them for the majority of the meeting, right? Best have it out and easily accessible... It was around 2PM and Kim had already eaten awhile ago. So it was the perfect time to get some exercise. He was currently wearing a white sleeveless shirt, gray turtleneck, and a dark brown coat over the other layers. A pair of muted orange leather pants and black shoes completed his outfit. Upon reaching his destination, Kim let his eyes flicker over the area, before they eventually spotted Simon. He came up to him, greeted him and then leaned up against a nearby tree as they waited for the others to arrive, so the meeting could begin.... Once it had, Kim listened to Simon speak. This was simple and just what he needed to do now. Go off on his own, take pictures and submit one. It was one of the reasons why he liked this club, he liked taking pictures of things but preferred not to interact with people often. Ever since the Fall Ball 2022, Faerietale Endings, Kim had been withdrawing bit by bit into himself again. He didn't think anyone noticed or even cared. Which was fine with him. Everyone had their own lives. They didn't need to worry about his. Kim moved off on his own and glanced around for areas to shoot that looked autumn-like. He took a few pictures here and there of the landscape and the trees. Colorful leaves were everywhere and made perfect pictures. They were quite lovely. Maybe he'd submit one of them for the Photo Share. Hell, Kim even snapped a few shots with people in it too. Eventually, he finished taking lots of shots and looked through the ones he'd taken. A landscape one was nice but some of the colorful leaves were also really good too. He didn't want to choose one with people in it because they made it look less pretty and full of nature. Finally, Kim chose a leaf picture and resolved to submit it later on. As soon as the shot was developed. Even if others also submitted leaf pictures, you could never have enough leaf pictures for autumn. ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

If the majority were leaves, they could arrange them around the edges and borders of their collection and then place the others inside so it seemed as if the leaves were surrounding them. Kim's imagination started to work and he thought about how it would potentially look. To any who approached him, it might look as if he was zoning out but he really wasn't. Or was he? Did thinking count??? |

LUMOS! Camera Club
It was the start of Charlie's second year and one of the clubs she was in was having a meeting. It was the Photography club, which was one she joined only because she wanted to learn how to take photos on a wizarding camera. To Charlie, they hadn't done a ton at the first meeting, so she was hesitant if she should go back to the club. She decided to do it, mostly because she wasn't doing anything that day.
During the summer, Charlie had decided to buy a camera with some leftover galleons in Hogsmade when she visited with her father. She hadn't quite figured out how to use it, as it was a different model than the one she used last time, so she planned on asking someone to help her use it.
She arrived at the meeting location and noticed she was the third one there. She greeted Kim and Simon who were both older than her. Kim had black hair, which was pretty unusual for him because he usually had very colorful hair, in bright, upbeat colors. Charlie listened to Simon talk, before he let them go off and take photos. She stopped Simon to ask him a few basic questions about her camera before she was off.
Charlie had decided to take a lot of photos and then pick the ones that turned out the best to be her submission to the club. She began to wander around the area near the Great Lake, watching other students enjoy the fresh air and cool fall weather. She took plenty of shots of things such as leaves, the Great Lake, and a girl in the a tree, reading. Charlie had no clue what she would turn in, or how the photos would develop.
When they were finally finished developing, Charlie ended up choosing the photo of water running in a small stream by the lake. She quickly pasted the other photos into her photography notebook, which ended up taking up quite a few pages. To be honest, she didn’t love the photo she had chosen and wished there was less steam and a light breeze, but she hoped the others in the club would like it.
