Nate glanced over the pitch. It had rained all that morning, and the pitch was very muddy (not that it mattered too much - he'd hopefully be in the air and not on the ground). Luckily he had thought ahead. He had brought a change of clothes so that he would't be covered in mud for too long. His mum often joked that he was a 'neat-freak' but to him cleanliness was incredibly important.

Nate set his bag down on a fairly clean patch of grass (although his bag was waterproof anyway) and picked up his broom. The move he was practising today was one he'd been practising for a while, with some difficulty. The aim was to stand up on his broom. Not only did this look awesome, it meant he could block Quaffles above him. He had also recently been practising the Starfish and Stick, where he hung off his broomstick to block a Quaffle below him.

He started with a few laps around the pitch. Although the rain had stopped, the air was still moist and cloudy, and within seconds his clothes were wet. He didn't mind, though. He would sacrifice his favourite jumpers if it meant playing Quidditch professionally.

Nate's practice began with a few Double Eight Loops around the goalposts. It was very useful as a defence and the more he practised, the faster he got. He loved the feeling of the wind in his face and the freedom in the air. It gave him a confidence he rarely had on the ground.
