NOSY AS ALWAYS, JULIET glanced at Ophelia once the girl removed a piece of paper from her bag. Assuming it contained her schedule, the Gryffindor darted her eyes to the other side of the room, afraid she'd make a bad impression.

"Um," Juliet knitted her eyebrows, gnawing at her bottom lip. She reached for her bag, tossing the strap over her shoulder, swinging her frame back and forth, in an attempt to make her brain work fast. "Wait, I got this,"

She didn't. Her memory wasn't the best, admittedly, and it was hard for her to memorize her schedule so quickly. Especially when the lessons were so different than what she was used to - instead of Science, there was Transfiguration. Instead of Physical Education, there were Charms. Being a witch was a never-ending rollercoaster ride.

Today she had Charms. Then Defense Against The Dark Arts, followed by History of Magic, a small break, Potions and Flying. An exciting day, for sure, but it'd be a lot better if a friendly face sat near her.

"I'm going to DADA right now," Juliet said. Unknowingly, she jutted out of her bottom lip, puffing her cheeks. It's a childish habit she picked up on from her mother, and now she couldn't stop it. "But I'll see you around...? Maybe we can study at the library some other time- if you want, of course,"

"Um. Wait, I got this." Ophelia knew the feeling. The scheduling here was complicated and having a terrible-ish memory didn't help any more. She half wanted to ask the girl if she had a paper copy of her schedule, but was surprised when the girl remembered, her eyes lighting up as she realized what she had next.

"I'm going to Defense Against the Dark Arts next." Juliet said, and Ophelia detected a bit of sadness in her voice, which was reflected on her face as well. Being a first year was hard as it was, but the added bonus of not knowing anyone yet was even worse. She'd been hoping to have the next class with Juliet as well so that, maybe, they could sit next to each other once again. However awkward their initial relationship was, at least they could stand each other. "But I'll see you around...? Maybe we could study at the library some other time- if you want, of course."

The offer caught Ophelia by surprise. While she'd started to think of Juliet as an acquaintance, friendship wasn't on her mind yet. But that's something we can easily fix, she thought to herself. And I'm struggling as it is. It would probably help me if I had a friend to study with.

"Of course! I would love to." Ophelia instinctively checked her wrist for the time, but then realized that her watch wasn't on it. Flustered, she kept speaking. "Erm, anytime. I guess I'll see you... whenever we have this class next."

With an awkward wave, Ophelia left the classroom, proud at having made a friend.
