Dinner With a Touch of Mischief
Axyen didn't know if Astra actually saw behind Axyen's cover question regarding Hogsmeade, but he was more than glad to step away from that part of the conversation, well for now anyways. Axyen decided to listen to what jobs Astra might pick, an unspeakable.... an unspeakable. Axyen tried to remember where he heard about that job. Why can't I suddenly remember this? Axyen thought to himself. He absolutely hated not knowing something or forgetting something when he felt that he needed to know something. Axyen listened as Astra added that she might professionally play Quidditch as well, if being on a broom was bad enough, now you just need to dodge professionally thrown bludgers and Axyen will probably hop off his own broom in fear if he even thinks he sees a bludger headed his way. Still, not knowing what an unspeakable was still bugging Axyen, so he decided to ask. "Hey uh... what's an Unspeakable again? I forgot.." Axyen said, he was sure it was a Ministry of Magic job, or was it something else? Axyen slightly remembered but it still sucked not knowing.
Axyen started to eat Lamb chops, Axyen chewed while listening to Astra who said she hasn't planned on what electives to take. Axyen chewed and swallowed the rest of his food shortly after to respond. "I am trying to take all of them, so it might affect my weekends, but that leaves all kinds of careers open to me." Axyen said, in the event he changes his mind, or perhaps he just wants to do something else. It would be helpful to have good grades in all of his classes. Axyen responded to Astra who asked Axyen what types of foods he liked. "Hmm...." Axyen said, thinking as hard as he could. Astra suggested a few countries, however, Axyen never really tried food outside of London really. "Well, I don't really know." Axyen responded, after he tried to think for a few more minutes, though it was pretty hard to, Axyen never really thought about how loud the Great Hall truly was. "I guess lamp chops?" Axyen said, before eating more of his lamb chops.
Axyen finished chewing his food and then swallowed, Arnold started to nudge Axyen's leg, it seemed Arnold was expecting something based on the look on his face. "What?" Axyen asked, looking at Arnold, giving Arnold his full attention. Arnold nudged Axyen's leg again, and Axyen finally took the hint after Arnold gave a few squeaks, which might've been an attempt to communicate with Axyen in a way Axyen understood, which only had partial success. Axyen felt around in the left pocket of his robe and felt the Pygmy Puff treat before handing to Arnold who extended his long, thin tongue which stuck to the snack. With a slightly startling speed(Axyen flinched a bit) the snack was in Arnold's mouth. Axyen was trying to think of another topic that could be interesting, then he remembered the Babbling Beverage he had somewhere in his dormitory. "Did you brew any Potions in your free time?" Axyen decided to ask, it was more fun than he thought, though he was planning a prank of a professor soon. Axyen was nearly certain he knew who to prank as well. Axyen almost asked if Astra liked pranks, but decided not to. He might be able to prank her with a chocolate frog, or something else perhaps.Mentioning@Astra Norrick

Others: BoldAstra was at first surprised that Axyen didn't know what an Unspeakable was. Aunt Aces was one, for crying out loud. Then she remembered that Unspeakables had to keep quiet about their work, which was why she didn't exactly know what would be in store for her. It was a very secretive job, not talked about (hence Unspeakable). "They work for the Department of Mysteries and study more dangerous types of magic. They aren't really allowed to talk about it. There's ones that work in the Chamber of Death and then the Space Hall and a couple others that I can't remember," she said, thinking back to the stories she'd heard about Sirius Black from her dad, who thought he was one of the most interesting people. He'd been killed in the Chamber of Death. I think that's the one Aunt Aces works in...
It sounded like Axyen had a plan, even if he didn't quite know what he would do as an adult. "It's good that you're leaving options open," she said. "That's a fantastic idea."
Astra enjoyed lots of different foods, lamb chops being one she'd only tried a few times but had liked. "I don't think I've heard that as someone's favorite food. Good choice, though," she said, polishing off her pie.
She watched in amusement as Arnold nosed Axyen's leg, seemingly wanting a treat. The Puff of personality seemed very pleased with his treat once he got it, crunching happily.
Astra had only brewed potions in class so far, so she shook her head in response to Axyen's question. "No, not yet. I've been learning some second year Charms, though. That's been fun." She thought about the Illegibility Charm and how she hadn't used it yet for pranking purposes. Well, we'll have to fix that soon. "Do you brew potions in your spare time?"

Dinner With a Touch of Mischief
Axyen listened as Astra explained that an Unspeakable was someone who worked in the Department of Mysteries which was a department within the Ministry of Magic. Axyen also learned why they were called Unspeakables which felt pretty self-explanatory, after all it was called the Department of Mysteries. Axyen listened as Astra mentioned a few places within the Department of Mysteries, such as the Chamber of Death, and the Space Hall. Axyen shivered slightly, Chamber of Death sounded pretty bad. "
Uh..." Axyen said, still imagining what horrors might be in the Chamber of Death. Axyen decided it would be better to simply chat about something else.
Axyen listened to Astra comment how it was a good idea that he was taking all electives, which left basically just about any job open to him, well, that was assuming Axyen kept good grades up. Axyen nodded silently not knowing how to come up with any other reply other than 'thanks', but it felt like he kept saying that over and over. Astra then commented on how she never heard of any choosing lamb chops as their favorite choice of food, Axyen wondered what Astra's favorite food was, so he decided to ask. "Hey, what's your favorite food?" Axyen asked, he went to grab another lamb chop and realized they were gone. I already ate them?! Axyen thought to himself, that sucked. Axyen put a pie on his plate, and thankfully that got rid of any bit of disappointment Axyen had just experienced.
Axyen got a response to his question, so Astra didn't make any potions in her free time, Axyen wondered if she would fall for the Babbling Beverage prank as well? Oh well, if he has enough after his prank then he just might. Astra mentioned how she did second year Charms, similar to how Axyen did third year Defense Against the Dark Arts, so Axyen was luckily not alone in reading ahead of his textbooks. Astra asked Axyen if he brewed potions in his free time. "No," Axyen replied. "I just hadn't had much time to." Axyen lied, looking down at his pie and eating it, hopefully he wasn't obvious, it was one of his more better lies, though he was never good at lying to begin with. I am too scared too. Axyen told himself, he knew it was the truth, he was worried something was going to go horribly wrong, and he didn't want to be the person responsible for sending a professor to the Hospital Wing, but Axyen tests his potions, and so far everything turned out right, no accidents yet at least.Mentioning@Astra Norrick

Others: BoldAstra was never prepared with a ready answer for the favorite food question. There were just too many good foods to choose from. Unless, of course, she remembered that chocolate counted. As she did in this instance. "Chocolate, the semi-sweet type," she said with a definite nod. Her eyes looked longingly to the key lime pie again, but her stomach felt ready to burst. "And sour foods." She tore her eyes away from the treat and shifted to where she was looking in Axyen's direction instead.
There was something about the way his eyes shifted, the way he dug into his pie (Why is it always pie?) immediately after he answered her question about potions that caused her to tilt her head and question. It sure sounded like he was hiding something, but what Astra would probably never guess. It didn't really matter, secrets should stay secrets in someone's head. And she wasn't going to ask him, imagine if it was for a prank? No prankster wanted to be caught in the act.
Astra's social battery had started to run low, and she was grasping at straws for conversational topics as Axyen continued to eat. She remembered the drawings. "So what got you into art?" she asked, propping her chin on her hand and looking attentively at the Hufflepuff.

Dinner With a Touch of Mischief
Axyen listened to Astra as she said that she liked chocolate that was semi-sweet. Axyen imagined that he wouldn't like chocolate if it was never sweet. "Hmm, alright." Axyen said, trying to think for a moment, wondering what chocolate would taste like if it was never sweet at all. Axyen imagined that he wouldn't want to finish all of the chocolate because of how bitter it would taste. Astra also mentioned that she liked sour foods. Axyen couldn't eat sour food like that, he could eat sour food slightly, but the feeling it left Axyen was strange, and hard to describe, so Axyen decided that couldn't like that. "Hmmm, got it." Axyen said, satisfied with the answer he got.
Axyen in the corner of his eye, while pretending to start eating his pie, he could've sworn he saw Astra tilt her head. ..Am I really that obvious? Axyen thought to himself for a moment. No, no, I am sure it's nothing... Axyen told himsel, though Axyen felt pretty off, Axyen took a bite out of his pie for a second. Thankfully Axyen was not questioned further about the subject, which Axyen felt a wave of relief wash over him. Arnold nudged Axyen a bit, which Axyen looked at Arnold curiously. Arnold seemed to be trying to get another snack from Axyen, Axyen thought for a second. "If you behave, you'll get another snack when we enter the common room." Axyen told Arnold, who seemed to slightly calm down again, and relax, watching the candles in the Great Hall.
The Slytherin then brought back the badger's attention when Astra asked Axyen what got him into art. "Well, I always found pictures interesting, so I wanted to make my own." I started to explain. "I saw Muggles draw, I even saw a few drawing books in the library, which act as guides of some sort." I added. "So I decided I wanted to try it out myself, it's been pretty passionate, but it does make me happy." I included, I personally felt that the drawing felt like a nice release from a long day. I smiled a bit and took another bite out of my pie, before another question emerged in my head.
"So uh, what got you into Quidditch?" I asked, Quidditch was the sport I was the most afraid to touch, Flying class was my most dreaded class, I just overall seemed like a bad flyer. "I was just asking, because I think it's pretty impressive and something I'll never be able to play." I partially explained, purposely leaving out that I have a fear of heights.Mentioning@Astra Norrick

Others: BoldAstra perked up excitedly, she had found that she enjoyed sharing her family's legacy. "Well, it's kind of a family thing. Pretty much all of my wizarding family has played Quidditch, during their school years and sometimes professionally. There are records of Norricks on their house or school teams for generations.
Now here came the fun part. "Not once, however, is a Seeker found in my family. Plenty of Chasers and quite a few Beaters, a good amount of Keepers, especially for those who played professionally. But no Seekers. Not even second string Seekers.
"I want to become the first Norrick Seeker in history as we know it." The girl seemed happy, excited to the point where she could barely keep herself from grinning so widely it would be scary. "Plus I really enjoy flying. I understand it's not for everyone, though." She nodded to Axyen. "I don't think I'd make a good duellist. It's a great sport, though. Also impressive."
She had enjoyed the conversation thoroughly, but now that she was done eating and running low on social energy, she felt the need to go down to her dorm and do something alone. She made sure she had her photos with her, as well as making sure she'd returned all Axyen's art supplies, checking her pockets. "It was great talking to you, Axyen. So glad we could meet and become friends," she said with a smile. "I'm gonna go start on some homework. See you around?" Astra put her hand out for him to shake.Astra will be leaving the thread after Axyen's response.

Dinner With a Touch of Mischief
Axyen listened to Astra as she began to mention her family, it appeared that the Norrick family were massive Quidditch enthusiasts, considering Astra's passion on the subject of Quidditch and her family. Axyen was surprised to never have heard of the Norrick family, but then again, flying in general was a subject he decidedly never touch, although he has gotten slightly interested in the subject of brooms and how they work, he could never touch a broom, so he was pretty impressed that the entirety of the Norrick family was playing Quidditch, Axyen supposed he simply didn't have enough bravery for it, which his older brother would most-likely mock him for. Axyen perked up, slightly surprised to hear that nobody in the Astra's family had been seekers, which was certainly interesting, but Axyen listened to Astra's ambitious plan to become a Seeker which Axyen noticed Astra was smiling extremely wide, Axyen quickly looked down at his pie and took a slightly forced bite out of it. Axyen looked back up as Astra mentioned that flying was not for everybody. You can say that again. Axyen thought to himself, thinking for a moment.
Axyen temporarily drifts into thought...
"Axyen Dragonclaw is chasing after the Quaffle!" Axyen felt wind blow against his face chasing, as he grabbed the Quaffle and attempted to throw it into one of the goals. "Uh oh!" The announcer said, as Axyen looked to his left to notice a beater swiping his bat at a Bludger as it aimed right toward Axyen. "Will Dragonclaw be able to dodge the Bludger?!" Axyen swerved his broom to the right, only to see a wall. Axyen went pale and tried to swoop down only to get hit in the back, and get knocked out cold, as he felt his broom shatter into pieces and he fell down, only to reawaken in the Hospital Wing, injured and stuck in the hospital wing for a few weeks, which meant missing out on classes and less time to socialize and have fun....
Axyen snaps out of his thoughts abruptly.
"Honestly, I don't understand how anybody could fly and not be in constant fear." Axyen said, recalling the event his mind had made up. "Personally, I get scared even thinking about being on a broom." Axyen added, looking down at Arnold who was rolling around. Axyen looked back up towards Astra who said that she personally didn't believe that she didn't make a great duelist, but that it was a great sport that was impressive. Axyen silently disagreed about her not making a great duelist, anybody could be a great duelist if they try.
Axyen noticed that Astra had to go, as she had to go, though she extended her hand out for Axyen to shake. "It was wonderful meeting you, Astra." Axyen said with a smile, he meant every single word of it, he went for his fork and went to stab it into more of his pie. Clang. Axyen looked down. My pie is all gone?! Already?! Axyen said in surprise, he was shocked at how quickly he ate the pie. "Well it seems my dinner is finished... already." Axyen said. "I probably should get going too." Axyen said, getting up and shaking Astra's hand. Arnold quickly watched Axyen get up and squeaked excitedly, rolling in circles around Axyen. "Yes Arnold, I remember your snack." Axyen said, smiling at his Pygmy Puff. Axyen turned back to Astra who said she had to start on some homework. "Yep! I'll definitely see you around!" Axyen said.Mentioning...@Astra Norrick!
