Closed Fall Ball 2023 Lanterns and Boat Rides

After Mari waits a few seconds sitting around waiting for her best friend, Reese quickly comes over to Mari explaining her "lateness". "Reese! It's okay, actually you weren't late, I was the one who arrived really early!", Mari says jokingly at the end.

Reese was wearing a very beautiful short red dress, and with all her accessories in shades of red and gold, and meanwhile Mari and Rie were getting on the boat and watching the lanterns, "Wait, the brushes!?" Mari asked himself, until in the same second Reese ran over, grabbing the brushes and giving one to Mari "Thank you! I was really thinking about that just now!", said Mari as she started writing the lanterns with your brush.

Mari started to write a few loose sentences, about Rie and Mari's friendship(Liv), Mari didn't need much inspiration, because the friendship that Rie and Mari had was so incredible, that she just wrote the that was on her mind, Mari sits back, shaking her brush, thinking about whether to write anything else or not, and ends up writing a short sentence, to Rie, about never wanting their friendship to end, ever!

Rie, while Mari was writing, says a random word that Mari doesn't understand"Sorry?" Mari asked, but Rie was lost in her thoughts, so the two girls counted until they released the flashlight" 3,2,1!" Mari said at the same time as Rie, while casting the flashlight into the sky, appreciating the beauty that the sentences had in the night light.

"Yes, it was amazing, and it's beautiful to see our written sentences seen in the night light with the flashlight, don't you think? And this is definitely an amazing place to talk... SO... how are you" Says Mari, ending jokingly, not knowing what to say, as she was still seeing the lanterns until they disappeared in the middle of the night

so, how are you? liv asked, breaking the ice and unnecessary tension between the two girls. im great! i was honestly just looking forward to seeing you though. however, these activities must be great! she replied sweetly, getting comfortable and shifting around positions in their rocking boat. smiling, she faced mari again to ask, and how do you feel? what are you most excited to do here?. she watched and stared into the fully lit starlight sky, bright and dark at the same time. it reminded her of disney movies that she watched as a younger child. rapunzel, haha! she said, instantly regretting it with a nervous expression. shes a pureblood, wouldnt understand reese scolded herself. she had to make converstaion, rather just just randomly looking up. i love your dress! and the accessories too, theyre all beautiful, like you! she complimented, using her talent and skill for embracing beauty when she saw it. quickly, an idea sprung to her. she dipped her hand in the clear-ish warm water like a feather pen in ink, and splashed liv with it. she laughed, waiitng for mari to return the wonderful gift.

After Rie responds to Mari, Mari gives a smile breaking the ice between the two girls "Good, I'm fine too, and I was looking forward to seeing you, and these activities really look like fun, you already had come to a dance like that?" Mari asked Rie

and how do you feel? What are you most excited to do here? Rie asked, Mari immediately thought r " I think this is amazing, and I'm really happy to be here, really, and to be honest, I can't help but... everything! Once I had told you in the Tower that last year I would leave Hogwarts, by my parents' decision, but I managed to stay here, and so this moment is more incredible because last year I thought I wouldn't be here for this! That's why I'm even more happy... And you?", admitted Mari, remembering all that time of anguish she spent in those months.

A few seconds later, Mari hears Rie say a word that Mari at first didn't understand "Sorry... what?" Mari asked, seeing Rie get a little nervous, putting Mari like that too, until she she remembered that her best friend a few years ago had told her about a movie in which the princess had that name " Hm... it's a movie, right, or rather a movie princess, right? Sorry, I don't know that well!" Mari asked, afraid of making a mistake, she was pureblood, but her best friend was half-blood, and she thought she had already talked about it once, or instead, she was her former favorite princess!

“ah! Thanks Rie! You are too, and all your accessories and the dress are beautiful! Mari said, looking closer and noticing Rees' nailsand "Wow, how beautiful" Mari says, taking Rie's hand and observing her nails, until she looks at her her, she had painted dark green, simple things! After a few seconds, Mari stops looking at Rie's nails and she slightly wets Mari. “Hey” Mari says, laughing and reciprocating the incredible surprise that Rie had given her!

Delilah's heart raced with excitement as she prepared for the Fall Ball at Hogwarts. It was a special night, and she couldn't wait to share it with her dear friend Estelle.

In her dorm room, Delilah carefully laid out her outfit for the night. She had chosen a sleeveless pink dress adorned with colorful stars that twinkled in the dimly lit room. She slipped into the dress, feeling a surge of anticipation as she twirled in front of the mirror.

Next, Delilah picked out a pair of blue sandals matching the patterns on her dress.

Delilah stood in front of the mirror, inspecting her reflection. Her frizzy, messy blond hair refused to be tamed, no matter how hard she tried. She attempted to smooth it down, but her hair had a mind of its own. With a resigned sigh, she decided to embrace the wild, untamed look. After all, it was part of what made her unique.

Makeup was never her strong suit, and Delilah had long since given up trying to master it. She admired the girls who could effortlessly apply makeup, but whenever she attempted it, she felt like she looked more like a clown than a wizarding student. So, she opted for her natural look, her face free from any cosmetics.

As Delilah finished her preparations, her heart swelled with excitement. With a satisfied nod, she left her dorm room and started down the dimly lit corridor, the soft glow of the sconces lighting her way. Suddenly, she spotted Estelle waiting by the entrance of the Grand Hall. Estelle looked stunning in her elegant gown, a vision of poise and grace. Delilah's heart swelled with joy at the sight of her friend. Estelle's presence alone was enough to make any moment memorable.

With a burst of energy, Delilah hurried over to Estelle, her colorful starry dress swishing with each step. "Estelle!" she exclaimed, reaching her friend with open arms. "You look like a princess from a fairytale!"

Some who had arrived had begun to craft their lanterns, already releasing them into the warm night air. Luckily, there was little wind to blow out the tiny flames, the lifelines of the homemade stars that glistened in the clear night sky. A few were yet to craft them, but they needed to make them soon as the boats were departing shortly.

The Great Lake was still, with no whispers of wind moving the leaves on the trees along the shoreline, however the lake showed signs of movement, with small ripples shimmering on the surface unprompted, though they wouldn't be particularly noticeable to anyone who wasn't staring directly at the lake's surface. It seemed that their cause was the wooden boats that were rocking gently in the water.

Some had already got in to the boats. Although they had not left the pier yet, they were due to begin departing shortly. There they were, at the pier on the edge of the lake, rocking gently in the murky water. They were the same boats that many students would remember taking them across the lake in their first year as new arrivals to the school, except now they each had a soft, golden, metal lantern tied to the front of the boat to light their way. Students would have no need for ours, however, as the boats were enchanted to move gently and smoothly across the lake.

Alyssea led the boys out of the banquet and into the little craft tables where the team had left pre-made lanterns, paints, brushes, and all sorts of art materials. She picked up her skirt and lifted it just a little bit over her knees, bent down to the blanket on the ground, and spread the fabric. She made sure it didn't occupy too much of the space.

With a little motion for them to sit down with her, she picked up a lantern and a brush immediately, dipping the brush in the paint before pausing. What would she write on this lantern? When the team brought up the idea, she thought of it as a chance for reflection, to let go of regrets and negative energy by releasing them into the air. But she couldn't think of either of those to draw on the lantern.

With a little look out to the water's edge, she sighed. She could hear her brother's words in her head. "Stop sighing or you'll turn old faster," he would say. She chuckled thinking about it.

So, she thought of everything that had happened since the new year started. She had her first duel and became a duellist, she scored a spot on the ball committee, and she was on her way to trying out for more opportunities. The possibilities were endless.

Then a thought came up. She originally wanted to do broom racing instead of duelling, but it was harder to become a racer than it was to be a duellist. With her mind made up, she dipped her brush in the brown paint and began drawing a broomshaft, in the process of painting a broom.

She saw the vision now. Become a broom racer, she thought. That's what I want to be. It was unlikely to happen this year, but she knew she'd made it eventually. This was her goal and she was going to make it come true.

Estelle looked up to see Delilah hurrying towards her, her adorable tulle pink dress, scattered with colourful stars, swishing as she walked. Del's outfit was gorgeous, and perfectly fit her personality, with it's creativity matching her enthusiasm and kindness. Del's hair was in its natural wild curls, and Es loved that Delilah had left them untamed - her hair was more beautiful than any styled hair could ever have been. As Del came closer, Es noticed her cute sandals. They had the same symbols as her dress, making them a beautiful touch that brought the whole outfit together. Delilah finally reached Es and they embraced, Estelle full of excitement and enthusiasm for the evening ahead. At the exact same time as Del complimented her dress, Estelle said "I love your shoes - they're adorable!" When she realised that they had both spoken at the same time, she laughed. They were so in sync. Estelle began to lead Delilah to the lantern making station, telling her about all the prep they had done to plan it. "So basically we were thinking about what theme the ball could be and there were a few suggestions such as Día de los Muertos Day of the Dead and a fantasy ball, but finally we decided on the Festival of Lights. I doubt everyone in the group had watched Tangled, but they went with it anyway and now we're here! I can't wait to make a floating lantern. I want to make one that has the flower from Tangled on it, though I'm not sure my artistry is that good. What about you? What are you planning to make?"

ARIES GRINNED BRIGHTLY, getting ready to splash mari again. she turned to face her once more, rather than her reflection in the blue water. yknow, i heard there's a squid down here. in the water. his name is herman, i overheard @Simon Kincaid say that. she smiled making claws with her hands, trying to spook the other brunette. not scared are you? she asked smirking slightly. herman! Hermannnn!! HERMAN! she called out, causing ripples in the water, echoing her voice. do you want to head over to the candle-lit banquet? she asked, combing through her pretty silky hair. astra and renelle are going to be there! they are such the life of the party. she thought, remembering when she encountered them. such a daring time, and hilarious too, she almost fell into the water laughing at the thought of cliché and jeff's forbidden love. we could play a game, while we are still here. she said, her lips curling into a smile. read my lips? she questioned, as this was a muggle game she knew from scotland, and that meant she got to teach mari the game. more memories for them do you have a middle name? she asked curiously. mine is artemis, it means goddess of the moon, it makes sense with my whole galaxy theme. her eyes glinted in the light of the day.

Swiftly trying to force his embarrassment into the past he guides the pair to the endless array of materials displayed by the lake, the choices were endless as the colours ranged from the darkest crimson red to the bubbliest baby blue. As they wandered around the piles of materials Flynn points out a lovely blue that seamlessly matched Hermione's outfit "what about that? a nice blue to compliment your outfit" as he said it a fiery burst of reds and oranges caught his eye "oooo or this that would be nice and festive really would match the fall vibe." Flynns mind had become crammed full of possible lanterns to make, even though he wasn't the most creatively inclined all the patterns that were forming in his mind seemed like good choices to make a lantern from, what ever would he choose, maybe I'll see what Hermione makes and make mine similar to hers while the thought seemed good he pondered that doing his own design would allow him to create whatever frankenstein invention his mind could muster. actually you know you should put something on your lantern to commemorate you and Hermione yes thats a great idea a sign for a new friendship and prosperity between them what a great idea.

through getting lost in his own mind he realised he still had Hermione next to him and that he shouldn't let her grow bored because of his absent mindedness, to break the lull that had formed in their conversation Flynn decided to get some lantern ideas from her, after all Hermione did look like the kind to be really good at making cool things.
"So, Hermione, what sort of lanterns would you want to put on your things" almost, so close to actually saying a proper sentence, oh well, no point correcting himself now, as he realised his mistakes his cheeks started to turn a shade that more closely resembled the hair on his head.

Her eyes momentarily closed as she stood still, allowing his words to cloak her with a warm flush to her cheeks. She was pleased he was pleased. Dressing up was fun every now and again and broke up the dreary monotony of Corridors and Classrooms full of black robes day in and day out.

Feeling like she wanted to tease him just a little, she did not immediately turn towards him. Besides, it was kind of hot to let him pursue her for a change. She was always so eager to see him or be with him that she usually ran to close any distance between them as quickly as possible when she could. Being just a bit coy tonight, even if for a little while, would add a little spice to their normal dynamic, for her at any rate. How long could she hold out would be the first question. Would he even notice would be the second.

"I am so glad you think so. That was exactly the sentiment I was hoping to evoke for you... and from you." She so desperately wanted to turn to face him, but she remained still... mostly so. She turned only her head to the right, tilting her chin just slightly towards her shoulder as she knew it would be her left side he would naturally move towards when taking his place beside her. The off the shoulder cut of the dress was one of her favorite things about it and she imagined the slight turn of her head to the right would elongate the exposed landscape somewhat. Thoughts were stirring. Imaginings were taking flight. The yearnings of wishes yet to be fulfilled were nearly impossibly tantalizing as the delicious anticipation to experience whatever Simon might do by way of greeting her had every nerve cell on tenterhooks.

The first of the floating lanterns had already been sent aloft into the soft autumn's evening's glow, she noted, but she tracked them not at all. Sensing Simon drawing ever nearer, her thoughts were only on him when she lowered her voice to just above a whisper. "It is only fair, I suppose, as my fellow is so breathtakingly handsome."
