And boom, there was wind.
Strong gust of wind blew from the other side of the piste just as the older Hufflepuff released her very own wind jinx and just not on this second year Gryffindor, but also at the raincloud that had completely made Raizel stood there with a little bit of awe on her face.
Two targets in one, now that's something.
The wind almost knocked her down but she kept herself on her feet and tried to fire off her own spell. "Obscuro!" Ah, if it wasn't for that wind, she would've hit Lea with that spell. Unfortunate. Her suffering doesn't end there though, for a flash from the sky above had caught her eyes, lightning striking down, ready to electrocute her if she didn't manage to get out of its way.
Great, now it's back to her side which is a bummer. "What a nice gift you have here." She said to Lea while gesturing towards the cloud above. Nice indeed if Lea's goal was to knock her unconscious which is… yes, probably what she's doing. This is a duel after all and an exciting one at that despite the hit that she took and despite the bad situation that she is in. "Let's keep at it shall we?" And she's eager to keep it going and keep trying her luck.

Was she showing off by using the same spell Raizel just had but directing it towards two targets instead of one? Yes kind of, but Lea would deny any such accusations pointed her way. As the Gryffindor noticed as well, the Wind Jinx proved most effective in driving away the storm to the other side and making the lightning someone else's problem- and she witnessed many duels in the past that used the Wind Jinx to limit mobility of the opponent. Why not both at once? The only concern was accuracy really, pouring her focus into making sure that both targets were hit as the cloud shifted to the other end of the block and Raizel stayed centered in the other gust of wind, no quick escape.
Putting all her attention into aiming made dodging an afterthought- a realization that Lea should have paid more attention to as the spell sped towards her. Thankfully her own spell knocked the second year off target, the Hufflepuff quickly flinching away so it wouldn't graze her as the spell dissipated with no target hit. Pay more attention next time, she noted to herself, twirling her wand lightly in her hand as the cloud rumbled from above yet no longer so close. A bolt struck into the ground, the light searing her eyes before the bang careened out into the room, the sound crashing to almost grow larger with each echo before it quieted back down with only the low rumbles and now the additional howl from the wind. Despite the rather threatening appearance, no one would get hit.
"And just for you, too." She smirked- not for me. After all, how could Raizel re-gift it right back to Lea? It would just be rude, as though the cloud were truly a gift and such manners were a part of a typical duel. "Don't you want to keep it?" As for the last comment, Lea simply nodded, brown eyes still trained on Raizel and the cloud before she prepared for whatever would happen next.

Date | Sep 6th, 2023Bea watched enthralled by the two duellists in front of her. Both were willing, and it seemed more than able, to defeat the other. Lea had launched a brilliant confringo at Rais feet, blasting the poor girl with a deadly attack. Bea narrowed her eyes in thought. It wasn't something third or even fourth years had in their arsenal, but if that was the way to defeat an opponent than Bea was rather looking forward to it.
Rai, not to be outdone by an upper classman, blasted her own spell. But not at Lea. At the raincloud flashing white streaks of lightening down near her. Even under her own wind spell, a strong enounciation of the Ventus spell could be heard, and Raizel's conviction seemed unwavering to Beas' eyes as the spell erupted from Raizels wand to meet the raincloud and push said cloud over to Lea. It seemed, as Bea followed the winds path, that the raincloud wasn't the only thing that was hit though. Bea could see that the spell had knocked Lea about a little too. Possibly a stray gust of wind from the wide expanse of the spell? Bea wasn't 100% sure but either way, she would let the duel continue.I'm so sorry it took so long for this mod. "Well…" Raizel stopped to ponder about that storm cloud looming over her head but her train of thought was stopped as soon as a spell came shooting towards her. All she could do was raise her arms in an attempt to cover herself from the blast of Confringo just below her feet.
The Gryffindor stood her ground, bearing the pain with gritted teeth and keeping herself from getting thrown off of her feet by that strong spell. That spell, oh, she's looking forward to getting her hands on it. Sadly, it's way above her current skill level and she'd rather be prepared for it rather than hurting herself by going too far from her current level.
"That definitely hurts but it's not over yet." Raizel said with a grin on her face. Oh, not like her body isn't aching because it is, so much that she is surprised she's even standing. She took a lot of strong spells already but guess she is doing a lot better compared to last year, stamina wise. It's probably a lot more sensible to stop now but no, that's not Raizel's way of dueling. She's gonna see it through until the end… or at least, until she's knocked out.
"Your gift, you can have it back." Earlier, she managed to blow it back to Lea then she could do it again. The result, however, was unexpected. First the wand movement and then followed by a clear and strong enunciation of the incantation. "Ventus!" A strong gust of wind blew from her wand as soon as the spell was casted, blowing the cloud back to Lea's side of the piste and it looked like, with how strong that one was, the older Hufflepuff got pushed back just a bit.

That 'well' offered indication enough to know the storm wouldn't be kept on the Gryffindor's side for long. But if Raizel focused on the cloud, then dodging was unnecessary for the time being. But perhaps she read too much into it, deciding instead to turn her focus towards a spell of her own. Confringo.
Rai had already witnessed this spell before from Lea while the fourth year needed some target practice, although the second year managed a quick step instead of feeling the full brunt of the explosion. This time wouldn't be so lucky, the Hufflepuff both far more confident in her casting and more interested in a true strike while Raizel also contended with crafting their own spell. "Confringo." The Z formed in the air, a sharp jagged slash before her wand pointed directly at her target. The wind from previous rounds didn't help either, brown eyes watching the small attempt at protecting themselves before the ground exploded underneath them. Perhaps a bit harsh for the circumstances, but it was a duel and Lea wasn't keen on giving Raizel many chances at hitting her. The Gryffindor resided on this block far too often to be underestimated-
Except in this one instance, apparently. Lea's guess had been accurate, able to shift in place as she watched the cloud move overhead with little she could do about it now. Her focus was more on the lightning strikes, failing to take the strength of the wind into consideration as a stray gust buffeted the teen backwards. It wasn't much but enough to startle the fourth year, blinking a bit before she returned back to her stance with a slow, somewhat impressed nod. How long had her streak been? 3 rounds- 4? Not as much as Lea would have liked, but she did have to give credit to Rai. "Mm you don't like it? I thought it had been a lovely gift-"

Date | Sep 6th, 2023Finally the both of them had stopped with casting Ventus back and forth. Great big gusts of wind had swarmed the Duelling Club and there was only so much back and forth Bea could take. She felt like she was at a tennis match watching the swirling cloud move back and forth between the two duellists.
Finally having settled on just accruing some damage, both duellists cast splendidly. But it seemed experience would win out in this round. Lea would cast the knockback jinx, and the spell would hit Raizel squarely in the chest with a powerful woomph. Bea winced in felt sympathy. No holding back in this one.
Raizel, on the other hand, wouldn't go so well. Her spell would succeed, and she would cast it brilliantly Bea might add, but her targeting and accuracy would be a little off. Lea was easily able to evade the oncoming fireball. Instead the flames would coast right by the fourth year into one of the dummies beyond. A loud crash would shatter across the room, bringing attention to the fallen dummy now on the floor. With a shake of her head, Bea giggled and signalled that the others could continue. Nothing was truly on fire...yet.Information

❂《 ⌜ September 6, 2023 ▎ --:-- ⌟▛▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔How is she holding up like this after all those hits, that she doesn't know. She could already feel her body reaching its limit with every ache in every movement that she makes but the show must go on.
At least until she's knocked out and until then, she'll keep going. There is no way she'll get lucky again. That one more hit that she wants before she falls unconscious is far off from her reach right now. Still, she won't stop trying to reach it.
Hold tightening on her wand, her mind running through spells after spells that could help her here. While some hindering spell would do well for her, dishing out some damage would just work as well. The moment the spell was chosen, she quickly made the gesture before chanting. "Incendio Duo!" Strong flames shot out from her wand but she missed. Instead, it went soaring towards the dummy but Raizel didn't even get to see that happen for she was too busy dealing with the Flipendo that just hit her on the chest.
She was pushed back by the force, a pained look on her face as she gritted her teeth, preventing herself from crying in pain. She staggered on her feet before kneeling down on one knee to catch her breath.
Oh, that hurts… so bad!
Raizel thought while trying to stand back up. It surprised her how she still have a bit of energy left in her to get back up. She tried focusing but the aches were starting to make it harder for her. This could be it though, another hit from Lea and she's down for the count.

Lea had said that she would try to keep each spell new. So while the raincloud was on her side now, it would have to stay for the time being hopefully without any strikes. One hit was enough, the girl wanting to keep the difference between fourth and second year clear even as the duel continued and opportunities grew with each round. Best to get this over with quickly then, opting for direct damage with the 'classic' Knockback Jinx. She kept her gaze focused on the Gryffindor, striking quickly and cleanly as it soared through the air and hit.
How the two were feeling was obvious now, the pained expression brown eyes observed from the other side of the block in contrast with the slight smile Lea had as she awaited Rai's own cast. And soon enough the flame conjured and flung themselves towards the Hufflepuff- a good attempt, great even?, if not for Lea's own practice in finding where the spell was not and getting there before the spell could hit. Nimbleness- it had saved her from quite a few blows and she was thankful that it continued to do so. The lightning too kept its distance from the fourth year as Lea glanced to see Beatrice's call. Continue- there was still some life left in Raizel.
She was impressed, the Gryffindor had won at least that much. Lea wouldn't go soft on the other, her competitiveness far outweighed her kindness or sympathy towards someone who willing agreed to this, but hopefully this would end quickly and her opponent could get the medical attention needed after the rather blunt spell damage taken.

Date | Sep 6th, 2023This would be the end. The tension was palpable in the air. Not to mention poor Raizel was hanging on by a thread. A thread that was soon to unravel into a frayed and disastrous mess. Bea blinked, watching for the end, and when it happened she stood transfixed. Both Lea and Rai would fling their spells, but again it was only one that would land. Again, only the older students experience and finesse that would help her to get a hit on the younger student.
Lea would fling the dancing-feet spell at Rai, and it would land with a soft and shuttle layering of magic, before Rai would start for only a few seconds, to dance. It was some mix of jazz and hip hop. Some weird combo that alerted Bea that Rai probably wasn't all there at that moment for she collapsed seconds later. It was all too much for the second year. She'd even flung her own spell out at Lea during those seconds, whether before or after Leas own spell hit. But Lady Luck would not smile upon Rai. Her spell would miss, veering wildly off-course. A bitter end to a great practice.
With Rai basically looking like she was black and blue and struggling too, Bea called time. "Alright, that's enough! Lea won!" She quickly made her way to Rai, touching the girl gently on her arm. "We need to take you to the Hospital Wing and get you patched up. You took quiet a beating." She shook her head at Rai. Her idea had been to get Rai into duelling, not take a beating every, what felt like, second week.Information

❂《 ⌜ September 6, 2023 ▎ --:-- ⌟▛▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔Would've been nice if she got another hit in but of course, the universe isn't that kind. She had thought it would be so kind once again and bless her with a miracle in this practice duel but sadly, it didn't. Truth be told, she was relying too much on luck but what else could she rely on with a huge level gap between her and Lea? Her skills?
Perhaps. Well, who knows when her skills will actually play a huge part in it. Her first year was full of duel practice but from what she could remember, they didn't turn out that well. Sure, the 2v2v2 hosted by Dee kind of went well considering they got 2nd place but her performance… she couldn't say it was the greatest. Those are the reasons why she is continuing to participate in duels, asking anyone who is free. She is hoping for them to give her experience and get better.
Hopefully, she had gained something from this duel but whatever that is, it surely isn't something around the line of 'dueling someone near your level'. One last spell for she knew this was the end for her. She doesn't know why but she could just feel it and her body is screaming it as well. Where it landed, she doesn't know, for the effects of the spell that her opponent threw at her quickly took hold of her body and that took a huge toll on her already exhausted body.
Everything was blank. From the moment the dancing just started until she found herself staring at the ceiling of the dueling club, her vision was a bit blurry. She was on the verge of losing consciousness but for some reason, she didn't want to and kept on fighting it, trying to stay awake… until they took her to the hospital wing at least. She could hear a voice speaking but whose though. Bea? She is the mod after all. Her figure came into view, feeling a gentle touch on her arm.
"... need … to the Hospital Wing… patched up."
Those were the words she managed to hear. Those two words 'Hospital Wing' are the only ones she needed to hear to tell what is now going on. "R-Right." She managed to say despite her half-conscious state but she could really crash anytime soon, too exhausted to keep going. Lea's spells packed a punch, especially the Confringo and the Flipendo. Those are the ones that hurt the most.
