Zophyr wasn't sure what had happened. One second, everything was going fine - and the next, she was falling through the sky, knocked off her broom. She'd seen when the bludger had hit Kissa, but she'd been so caught off guard when it ricocheted off of her and straight towards Zophyr herself that she didn't have the time to dodge properly. And now, here she was, knocked off her broom and no longer able to play the game.

She wasn't sure exactly what was happening anywhere else in the game. Everything was blurry. She could vaguely hear someone call out her and Kissa's names, but apart from that, she had no idea what was going on. Her head hurt so much. That bludger had taken all her air out of her lungs, and they were straining to get enough for her to breathe, even now. And she felt like something might be broken. Now that she was on land, although she was disappointed in herself, it was rather relieving to know she could get some rest.

Broom: Nimbus 1500 Effect: In the role of Beater, if you hit an opponent with a bludger the bludger will then ricochet off that user and target a second opponent of choice (must be declared, if not declared the target will be random and can be an ally but not yourself).

Chasers

Ilvermorny keeps their focus on the quaffle as they send both Amber and Elowen in for battle. Or at least, what they had perceived would be a battle. Both chasers find themselves uncontested in both the attempts to grab the ball and in their efforts to score. Still, Amber remains selfless and insures that Elowen is the one racking up a solid 50 points for the Americans on the empty goals. Phylicia is left to her own devices on the opposite end of the field, but does have a good view of the rest of the action at least. As does Mkhaku as he takes completes his lap of the pitch to atone for a previous penalty.

Beaters

The majority of the players left on the field seek violence once more. Takahashi is the first to act, abandoning the quaffle to dart in Kaya's direction. His attempt to ram into the young seeker misses by a hair's breadth but does earn another shout of "Penalty!" from the announcer. Theodore continues his reign of pain with another well aimed bludger at Akihiko. The Mahoutokoro seeker is sent sprawling off the side of his broom from the force behind the ball even as it uses the momentum to ricochet towards another player. Mkhaku can't seem to take his penalty lap in peace as another bludger targets the chaser. He can't quite dodge out of the way of this one, however, and takes a heavy hit to knock the wind out of him even as he remains rooted to his broom through sheer grit.

Tigist leaves his goals unattended to join Takahashi in bearing down on Kaya. The keeper proves the better blatcher as he shoulder checks the opposing seeker right off her broom and lands himself with his own shout for a penalty lap from the announcer. Looking to round out the trio taking a leisurely lap to come, Izil turns her attention to the American menace that Theodore has become. It's an act of vindication when the chaser slams into Theodore's side and topples him into a freefall of his own. The beater is unfortunately a less appealing target for Louca to save when given the choice, and the chaser is already swooping towards Kaya to save her from a rather painful impact of her own. The spare bludger floating around the pitch also decides to join in on the assault, once again targeting Mkhaku. Though reeling from the last hit, the Uagadou chaser manages to just veer out of the way.

Seekers

The pressure is certainly on. Akihiko takes another look around the pitch to try and spot the elusive snitch that his opponent is so keen on. There! The golden glint off in the distance can be spotted from there, but the elation is short lived. Before he can really start towards the snitch, a bludger connects with the seeker hard enough to rattle almost every bone in his body as he's sent sprawling over one side of the broom. Kaya is not without her own issues. It's with a desparate dive that she tries to grab hold of the snitch, putting her all into it even as she dodges one blatch only to be clipped by another. It's simultaneous. Her hand closes around the snitch as she's knocked from her broom. Kaya doesn't drop far before Louca swoops in and saves her. The sight of the snitch in hand is all the announcer needs. "And that's the game, Ilvermorny has caught the snitch! Well played, everyone!"
