The duel that went horribly finally ended. Accepting help from two other students whom she did not know well - and even had a bad impression of - was somehow more painful than all the spells the young girl had to endure. She had to hold onto Raizel's arm for the walk to the hospital wing. It felt like a walk of shame. The same cruel thoughts repeated themselves in the Slytherin's mind until she was able to throw herself on top of a bed. They think I'm too weak to walk on my own; they didn't leave me on my own, just watch me suffer... Truly evil, these two, finding enjoyment in my misery!

In reality, she was still struggling to stand up straight on her own. Miserably fatigued and intermittently shivering from the pain she had to endure, her embarrassment was too strong to lift her head to take a look around. Winona could not see the faces of Raizel and Lea, or anyone that might have walked by on the way, but she believed it would be safe to assume they were snickering about her state. She looked like an absolute mess, without any energy to fix her messed up hair, clothes and the glasses that slipped towards the tip of her nose.

As soon as they finally entered the hospital wing, Winona let her body fall onto one of the beds as if she was physically unable to move a single muscle. Slowly, she rolled to lie comfortably on her back and finally got a look at the faces of the students who brought her here. "Are you satisfied now? Is this enough?" Her voice was unnaturally docile, as if this was her way of begging the two to stop the mental torture she was going through. As she lay on the bed, Winona's face still looked uncomfortable with her situation, showing a mixture of disappointment, sorrow, and even fear.

The trip to the hospital wing was quiet which is a surprise considering who Raizel is holding onto during those times. A Slytherin Girl that she had met before in those corridors, an unpleasant meeting at that and she knew a bit about her during those short times. She was already expecting insults after insults as they walked but there was nothing but silence. Only the idle chatter of students they might’ve passed by and their own footsteps could be heard. Lea, whom Winona just dueled and just had a flawless victory against her, is with them as well.

Once they had arrived, they wasted no time getting the injured girl on one of the beds there and Winona immediately laid down on it. Raizel had taken a look around to see if anyone was coming to treat the Slytherin girl. Even though she might look like a mess right now, she doubts it’ll last a whole day considering that they have magical healing here and those work so well too. Her gaze returned to Winona when she spoke up before shrugging. “Yeah, pretty much.” the Gryffindor simply responded, completely satisfied that they got Winona here without any troubles at all. “And that means we’ll be out of your sight soon which is something you’re probably looking forward to.” she added before turning over to Lea and then taking a couple of steps back from the bed. The Slytherin girl probably want some space and she doubts that they like them being so close.

As much as she kind of hated her personality, she can’t ignore her well-being. Seriously though, the moment that Winona declined their offer to help for the first time, they should’ve just left her but no, her conscience will definitely haunt her if she ignores someone that needs help even though they might not want it. Too much? Perhaps. Annoying? Maybe.

Lea walked besides them, keeping her steps slow so as to not end up too far ahead until they were a close distance to the Hospital Wing. Finally able to walk at a normal pace, the Hufflepuff took off in front to give the nurses some warning about the new patient coming in. Lea detailed the injuries, more listing out the spells she cast and which ones hit, adding on that Winona was miserable and more than willing to let everyone know even if shutting up would help her case more. How quickly this all would have been settled instead of assuming everything was a personal attack. At some point the nurses likely stopped listening as Lea rambled a little more before taking a deep breath, recovering with her short break away from the Slytherin before the two hobbled in.

The fourth year moved back to the group then, assisting them if necessary and offering a nod towards the staff so they knew. Lea did feel a little disappointed that she couldn't help out, aware that there had been some healing spells in her third year, yet she wasn't confident in her capabilities and Winona would likely adamantly refuse should she try. Brown eyes stared deadpan at the Slytherin when she asked, offering a sidelong glance towards Raizel's answer. As much as Lea wanted to simply leave the room and go back to her practice, there was some guilt over having injured the girl in what clearly was an unfair fight just a few rounds in. "Just- patience until you can walk again, please." Her eyes widened, annoyance flaring up before she sighed. "It really won't take that long to heal you, we can leave you alone while you wait." Just waiting in bed sounded miserable, but talking to Winona might be just as much. She followed the Gryffindor the couple of steps away, tilting her head slightly towards the girl. "How... are you doing?" Lea grimaced as the words left her mouth, feeling both a bit weird about asking it to the non-injured person and as though it was a reasonable question in this case.

"Ah yes, of course you are going to leave as if nothing happened," Winona mumbled from the bed as she sat up and hugged the pillow that had been under her head. Even in this tired and injured state, it seemed she still had the spirit - or spite - to talk back. "Do you feel so morally superior now? I told you I was fine, yet you still didn't leave me alone." the Slytherin pouted as her gaze switched from Raizel to Lea. The anger she felt towards the two girls, staring down at her as she sat miserably on the bed, was not going to die out anytime soon.

The Hufflepuff's words annoyed her on a very personal, higher level. What is that girl thinking, talking to me like I'm a child under her care? "You sick, twisted people... Do you take enjoyment in seeing me in pain? That's why you came along, isn't it?" Even in her defenseless condition, it was too hard to keep those thoughts bottled up. Winona poured her heart out, along with all the accusations she had been holding against them in her mind.

Before the two could react to the accusatory words thrown at them, Winona grabbed one corner of the pillow and threw it right at Lea's face with all her might, though it wasn't much in this situation. She would have been much happier to cast a few spells at both of them, but she thought that maybe, the hospital wing might not be the best place to be caught attacking other students.

A strange question coming from the Hufflepuff. Raizel didn't get hit by any spells during that duel so she wasn't hurt, Lea should've known that but she supposed it was something to get some conversation started when the older student joined her where she is right now. But before she could even answer her though, those spiteful remarks went flying towards them once again, making the Gryffindor turn her attention back to the one lying down on the bed.

Seriously? What the heck.

Those were the words that immediately came into mind after Winona spoke up. What's up with this girl? Why is she taking this so negatively? "You better get your head checked lady, being superior has nothing to do with this and weren't you the one who wanted us to be out of your sight?" Raizel responded with a raised eyebrow before her expression turned into a frown. "Is that what you think this is all about? Who the heck cares about who is superior or inferior in this case?" She rolled her eyes. Geeze, this is getting tiring, she doesn't have time dealing with someone who has a big ego and pride and superiority complex.

Guess there is no such thing as worrying out of pure concern now huh. Lesson learned. "Alright, fine, don't worry. I'll leave you all alone next time." Raizel turned her head towards Winona that time with a serious expression on her face. She's wasting her time here. Why reason with people like this Slytherin. Raizel was just about to walk out, too tired to be dealing with this when a pillow just went flying towards Lea.

Really? She threw a pillow. Girl has some loose screws in her head, that's for sure.

What was this girl talking about? After all the interest in them leaving her alone, now she complained about them leaving- there was simply nothing that could be done for Winona to be satisfied. It was good that Raizel voiced Lea's same thoughts aloud, the Gryffindor still rather poised in comparison to the Hufflepuff even with the added eyeroll. She could feel the anger and frustration in her chest begin blurring her mind, shoulders moving with each exasperated breath as she stared deadpan back at the girl. "Pick a side and stick to it." Lea huffed, tearing her gaze away to look at the pale walls of the Hospital Wing.

In most duelling scenarios, people tended to be rather respectful after and since most parties ended up back in the Hospital Wing, it was a nice time to reconcile and leave that fire on the piste instead of in the corridors. Why Lea assumed the same thing might happen this time, she didn't know. It had been one of her less thought out ideas, clearly backfiring as Winona only got more upset. Brown eyes kept their gaze away, deciding to focus on Raizel as she seemed to think about walking out now, until the Slytherin accused them of enjoying this. That crossed a line her other comments simply brushed against, the fourth year quickly turning back to make her retort.

"Why in the-" She had enough time to block the pillow with her forearms, eyes closing instinctually and body flinching back as she braced for the impact. It would flop to the ground with a soft puff as Lea glanced down at the improvised projectile. Then her gaze returned to Winona with an incredulous look, "Really? Are you happy now? Finally got that one hit you were so desperately looking for earlier?" Her toss back would not go as far, no strength in Lea's arms for her to truly catapult the cushion as it landed closer to the foot of the bed.

"So much talk and yet if we ever did the duel again, well..." Lea knew how it would end.

The discontent on the Slytherin's face only grew stronger with the responses she received. Not that she wanted the others to stay, but it felt horrible to be taken to a bed and left there like a helpless person. "Just admit that you're not civilized enough to apologize for your evil behavior." Winona spoke while still sitting on the bed with a childish pout on her face.

She crossed her arms and looked away before continuing her words. "You just wanted to look like virtuous people by taking care of a loser," she emphasized the last word, as if to suggest how she was not a real loser, "but I know just how horrible you are."

Switching the subject to the duel, and Winona's miserable loss, was the last straw. If there was one thing the young Slytherin hated more than being pitied, it was failure. "So what? I'll destroy you," she raised her voice, and turned her gaze to Raizel "and this idiot too!"

She grabbed her wand and made an attempt to hurt Lea back. "Incendio!" The jet of light that left her wand was weak, but her aim was almost on point. Almost. So close that Lea could possibly feel the heat as the light passed by her and hit one of the beds on the other side of the room instead. "Ah..." Who knew how mattresses, sheets, and pillows could be so flammable? That poorly casted Incendio quickly started flames that kept growing on the bed.

Apologize? Apologize for what? What the heck is this girl talking about, seriously. Nothing was making sense with every word she spoke. Where in the world was this ‘Evil Behaviour’ that she’s talking about? Raizel was starting to lose her patience with every nonsense that Winona was telling them. There is something wrong with this girl and she doubts that even the school nurse nor magic could fix it.

“Unlike you, I can apologize for any mistake that I make.” Raizel said to her back, sporting a rather serious look on her face, her brown eyes looking unimpressed. She sighed, turning her back on the Slytherin girl. “Whatever, I’m leaving. I don’t have time for these assumptions. If you want to think these are all an act then so be it.” There isn’t any point in reasoning with Winona right now and she’d rather spend her time somewhere else than here.

That was the second time her attempt to leave was interrupted. Winona raised her voice, which made Raizel to quickly turn around and… did she just call her an idiot? Unbelievable. Then it was followed by an incantation. She recalled the time that Winona did the same thing before, casting a spell on her. This time though, most of Winona’s attention wasn’t on the Gryffindor but instead, she seems to be honing more on Lea right now, with that Incendio aimed at her… well, at least she tried but the spell went past the Hufflepuff and had set the opposite bed on fire. Who’s the uncivilized person here now? No one in their right mind would try to cast a spell on someone right here in the Hospital Wing.

The new school year had just started. Emery's summer break hadn't been anything special, and they were happy to be back at Hogwarts. After two weeks, she was already longing to go back to work, to do something, to help people. The only thing they weren't too excited about, were all the new students. There would be so many new faces, names, and people to get to know. Luckily, most of the students from the healing internship stayed the same. The seer had gotten used to having these students around to help out in the hospital wing and they were the students Emery was closed with. Of course, their relationship was still professional and she never really shared personal information. However, her love for baking was something all the interns were aware of as it was hard to miss. Most of them had probably eaten a lot of the cookies, muffins, or cakes she had baked. One of the students that followed the healing internship was Dorion, one of Emery's favorites. The student had visited the nurse on one of her first days and their positive energy made it really hard not to like them.

One of the healing interns had actually accompanied her to get some of the potions. As a nurse, they knew how to brew the basic healing potions, however, some potions required more skill. The task of brewing these specific potions was taken up by Méabh, the potion professor, who had just handed them two boxes filled with potions. While Emery was explaining the effect of the potions to Opeila, they made their way back to the hospital wing. She was very happy with the student's help, as one box was already pretty heavy, and carrying two herself would have been too much. The one Opeila was carrying wasn't as heavy as hers, she had made sure to take the biggest box, but it was still quite a lot.

An uneasy feeling hit the seer as they got closer to the hospital wing. Over the years they had learned to never ignore their intuition, it had saved them countless times. "We have to hurry," she ordered the girl. The urgent tone was paired with a worried look but lacked an explanation. Most of the time, Emery took the time to explain why they were doing something, wanting to make sure the students learned something. This time, no other words were spoken and she started walking as fast as she could with the heavy box in her hands.

Despite knowing something was wrong, a bed being on fire wasn't something they had expected to return to. The bright flames burned their way through the sheets and reflected in Emery's blue eyes which were filled with worry. Their first instinct was to get their wand to extinguish the fire, but the heavy box needed to be held by both hands. As fast as they could, the nurse set down the box on the ground, just careful enough to not break the glass in which the potions were stored. The glass clattered against each other as the box hit the ground. Their fingers wrapped around their wand, which was quickly pointed at the fire. "Extinguo," the spell left her lips as she made a motion similar to a curly w with her wand. A silver mist appeared, extinguishing the fire on the bed.

Once the fire was not a threat anymore, nurse Featherstone scanned the room, trying to figure out what had happened. One of the assistants quickly made his way to the bed that had just been on fire. "What happened?" she asked extremely worried. Her eyes continued scanning the hospital wing until she spotted three students. They were exactly across from the damaged bed and on top of that, one was holding a wand. 'I am unsure," the assistant started. 'I was working over there and I was about to help these girls over there but then-" he continued rambling, but Emery already had her own suspicions.

With four steps, the nurse stood next to the girl who was holding her wand. The assistant had fallen silent as soon as he noticed the head nurse had stopped paying attention to him. "What happened?" she asked. This time her question was directed at the girls. It was extremely hard to get Emery mad, but it was clear she wasn't happy with this situation. Her eyes were slightly narrowed, her shoulder tense, and her tone deadly serious.

"Not civilized enough? Not civilized enough?!" Her voice raised with each word, arms wildly gesturing to Raizel, herself, and the location they were now in. The location Winona had an easier time getting to because they had offered their help in order to make sure she didn't injure herself further on the way over and because it was a nice thing to do. She wouldn't get those words aloud though, stuck in her throat as her frustration blinded her. Not that the Slytherin was likely to notice as she moved on to whatever next point Lea didn't care to listen to. Raizel and the attendants were the only people keeping Lea from lashing out further, not wanting to embarrass herself in front of others or potentially show her hurt from all these accusations.

It was the Gryffindor that acted the smartest of them all, attempting to leave the situation before things got even more out of hand. But that escape would prove too late as Winona shouted her flame spell. Brown eyes widened, turning her attention to try and locate the spell as it raced past her but missed. Her mouth almost twisted into a grin at the Slytherin's failings until Lea turned around and witnessed the fire now engulfing the empty bed, threatening to catch on the nearby curtains as well. No, no- Hogwarts had seen too much fire already. A chestnut wand shakily slipped into the Hufflepuff's grasp as she aimed it towards the flame, muttering a soft "Extinguo." Her focus was non-existent though, only temporarily dampening the fire before it roared back to life. Surely there were muggle supplies or potions to stop fires around here, slipping her wand back in her pocket to anxiously look around the room, unable to identify anything. To others it would look similar to the fourth year pacing, attention shifting between supply racks and the burning bed while stuck in a cycle of indecision.

How fortunate that the Head Nurse would find them, far more controlled and experienced that extinguishing the fire would be a simple feat. Lea let out a shaky breath, slowing her pacing as the girl composed herself. She'd glance between Raizel and Winona, feeling some guilt for having been caught in this situation even if all her blame went to the Slytherin. "She set the bed on fire." Lea spoke, nodding in Winona's direction. It didn't offer any explanation as to why she might be in the hospital bed while the others weren't or what might have caused her to set a bed on fire, but that context didn't seem necessary to the Hufflepuff.
