II. PERSONALITY

Juliet is talkative, but chill. She’s very low energy and goes about her day little by little because she gets overwhelmed easily even by the smallest things. Her social battery is often drained, but she doesn’t run away from people. She enjoys making new friends and sharing hobbies with them, eager to find something she might have in common with anyone, even people she might initially dislike.

She doesn’t like arguing, and keeps her emotions in check - well, as much as a child can, that is. Depending on the day or topic at hand, the girl can be very defensive and snappy; with sarcastic comments ready to come out. She has no problem speaking her mind but can come across as pushy sometimes.

Around older people, Juliet tries to act cooler and more mature, so they’ll like her, but when she’s with people her age, she behaves childishly and goes along with whatever reckless idea they might want to do. Much like her parents, she describes herself as a normal girl, with all her imperfections and special qualities.

In her opinion, Juliet has grown far too much, because she towers most girls (and some boys) her age, and she’s quite skinny. Her face is round and small, with full cheeks and rosy lips. Her distinguishable traits are her doe-like eyes with double eyelids, thicker eyebrows, and straight nose. She, unfortunately, suffers from a severe case of “blank expression,” which causes her to look bored or like there’s nothing in her mind.

IV. BACKSTORY

Juliet was born on May 7th, 2012, and she was adopted when she was 2 years old by Oliver and Daisy Ashbrook, a regular muggle couple living in Cambridge. Not a lot can be said about the two, as both lived rather ordinary lives - wake up, go to work, spend time together and redo the next morning. Oliver and Daisy have been together since they were little, and Juliet likes to describe them as soulmates - they were neighbors, went to school together, college got them closer and they eventually fell in love. There’s no better love story than that.

Most, if not all of her childhood was comprised of happy moments with her lovely family. Being adopted never bothered her, because her parents were honest with her from the get-go, and she didn’t love them any less for it. Of course, she heard a mean comment every now and then, because kids could be unintentionally mean, but other than that, Juliet grew up as a normal child (apart from some odd events she never knew how to explain).

On her 11th birthday, her family had returned from a trip to Disneyland, when they found a strange person waiting outside their door, announcing that she was a witch, with a special letter, inviting her to study at Hogwarts. Her parents were shocked because they were muggles with no ties to the wizarding world, but after a long conversation with the professor, they seemed to understand things a lot better. It made her wonder more about her biological parents. At that moment, Juliet’s doubts were finally explained, and she was ready to dive into this new life waiting for her.

first instance of magic. When she was 7, Juliet played with a football in the kitchen, although her mother had told her not to. Daisy had left to talk to their neighbor, Paul, who loved to complain about anything. It’s World Cup season, so the girl tried to copy a footballer she saw on the TV earlier today.

The perfect recipe for disaster.

One miscalculated kick later and the football flew to one of the shelves, dropping a bottle of vinegar inside the soup her mother was preparing for dinner. Juliet swore she saw her life flashing before her eyes.

However, something strange happened. When she heard her mother’s quick steps returning, Juliet reached for the pan, and right before her eyes, the broken bottle of vinegar flew back to its previous position, like it had never been touched in the first place, and the football dropped from the counter, rolling back to her feet.

Unable to keep that secret for much longer, Juliet spoke to both her parents over dinner. At first, they were dismissive of her story, thinking she was playing a prank on them. But when these weird events continued to happen, and she got her Hogwarts letter, there was no way they could deny it: she was a witch.
