With the way she trembled, you'd think it had started snowing, but everyone else seemed just fine, unaffected by the chilly wind.
The skies were painted a depressing shade of gray, to match her mood, and the warmth of her bed was a lot more comforting than going to classes. Alas, Juliet's responsibilities were more important than her desire to sleep in. So the girl got up and did what she had to do - struggling to keep track of what the professors said, blowing air onto her freezing fingertips.
When classes came to an end, Juliet packed her belongings and rushed to the top of Hogwarts Castle's west tower, for her weekly visit to the owlery. And with her, was a letter, narrating all of last week's events to her parents, even the boring ones. She had a lot to say - she wanted to make sure her parents didn't worry about her. Mum managed to write back three days ago, and it got her in the mood for writing again.
Juliet kicked the straw on the floor, eyes searching for the school owl she used last week. The owls nestled together at the very top. Some of them watched her with their big bright eyes. Such smart creatures they were.
The Gryffindor got a little closer, to reach for one of the owls when something caught her eye. I mean, someone. A sleeping figure curled up at the corner of the owlery.
Juliet furrowed her brows, bottom lip jutting out in a confused expression, unsure how a student, or professor, would find this to be an appropriate place for a nap. Forgetting about her letter, she approached the figure, lowering herself to be at their level.
"Hey..." The girl let out, placing a hand on what she assumed to be their arm or shoulder. "Hey, wake up,"wordcount: 336
