Who Is This Girl?

After the spell class Koko had decided to go to the courtyard.
She needed to relax. She picked up her book and began to read. In the courtyard there were several students, Koko guessed they were doing like her. Relaxing.
She thought about what her bed in the Gryffindor dormitory looked like. It had been a really exhausting first week.
She thought about her sister, how would she do at BeauxBatons? She had to send her a letter. There were some interesting people at Hogwarts. Koko had already met a couple of Gryffindors and liked them very much.
She was going to put a lot of effort into her classes. Koko liked her report cards to reflect excellent grades, and she wanted it to be that way at Hogwarts, just as it had been in elementary school.
So far she had received several O's on her homework. She had also received three E's but that was not bad.
Sighing, she had to get down to her history of magic homework. She took out her notes and began to review them.
After three words she had to start all over again, it was a complicated subject and Koko was not going to allow herself any mistakes.

Ava remembered her first year at Hogwarts. She was ever the bookworm, always with her nose stuck in a book not watching where she was going. Honestly, she would have been more fit for the house of ravens than the house of snakes, if you thought about it. This year, however, she wanted to do good in her studies, and create a tight knit group of friends much like the ones she had seen. Where you could share anything with the friends, and when good things happened to you, they were happy too.
It was hard finding people who wanted to be her friend, nowadays. Most people would, at best, quietly walk away and, at worst, run away screaming. But those were always people inher year or above her. She hadn't yet encountered a first year do the same, and she was hopeful that perhaps they didn't know her drama. That no one had told them, given them the 411 on people at Hogwarts. She was hopeful that first years would be the key to her problems, and would become better friends than her year ever had. Her dormmates were two girls Ava was hopeful would become confidants, but only time would tell.
But she had to keep expanding her social circle. The more backup, the better. And she had her new prey in sight. Reading a book, alone on a bench. Ava waltzed her way over, smoothing down and flyaway hairs on her head and stopped in front of the other girl. "Hellooo!" She sang with a wink when the girl looked up.

"He-he-hello" Unfortunately she had been told about that girl.
She had tried to point a gun at someone, she had been told. But wasn't Koko in the house of the brave? Well, she was going to be. Maybe all that girl wanted was to have friends.
"How are you?" she said, returning the wink and smiling. "My name is Koko, Koko Rivers and yours?"
"I'm studying, I like to get good grades and I hate to leave my homework unattended. Sometimes I don't understand why the hat put me in Gryffindor"
The girl had brown hair, wasn't very tall and looked nervous.
Koko wondered what image she would give of herself. That day she was wearing the Hogwarts outfit, a tunic.
She had left the room in such a hurry that morning that she hadn't even combed her hair. Her cheeks were flushed and she was reading, that was the worst of it. People thought she was a weirdo for reading. Koko kicked her bag so that it stayed under the bench and her books were out of sight. She didn't mind being seen with the History of Magic book, but if she was seen reading Muggle books it would be directly unpopular with her.
"Well... Do you want to be my friend? I don't know most people and I'm weird so I don't have a ton of friends"
She watched the girl's reaction carefully, she didn't want misunderstandings and above all.
She wanted friends!

Who Is This Girl?
Ava laughed at the stuttering shy girl before her quietly, although it wasn't rudely. A brief thought crossed her mind, what if this random first year knew? It would explain the stuttering. She shook it off quickly. Who wouldn't be nervous first arriving at the castle? It had only been a few days, and Ava would likely have been nervous if it was first year. Strangely enough, she couldn't clearly recall the beginning of last year. More pertinent details sprung to her, like the first meal, finding a dorm and a failed potions class. But nothing more came to mind, which was strange. Wouldn't such a huge week have stuck with her? It reminded her off her terrible memorization skills, which in turn reminded her of almost failing her exams. That was something she would need to work on this year, she needed to excel academically, not fail.
She was getting off track, she realized with a blush. She jolted back to the present just in time to hear the other girl introduce herself. So she must not have heard the rumours, if she was comfortable enough to introduce herself. Ava cracked a crooked smile, and answered the question that she had heard. "I'm Ava." She had learned that using her last name was pointless since she and her family held no importance in the magical world, but she wanted to start using it now. If she, somehow, became successful, she would want everyone to know her name. In a positive way, where you would think of it with awe, not with scorn. Ava was already beginning to like this stranger, with the way she returned the wink and warmed up right away.
"I know the feeling," Ava smiled, her thoughts returning to her days as a bookworm. "I wasn't great in school last year, but I was obsessed with books. I thought I oughta be in ravenclaw." She laughed a little, still thinking of the birds she wished she could be with. "The hat knew right from the start who I was meant to be with, though." Her tone was teasing, while her thoughts were not. Of course she belonged in the house of the evil. "Bet it's right for you, too."
She grinned at the girls carefully asked question, and dipped her head in a nod. "Of course I would! Most people find me weird, too." It was refreshing, how forthcoming the younger students could be. Such a direct question ava wouldn't have dared to ask, finding it either childish or too embarrassing to do if the other said no.

Penultimate post on my part, in the next one I can say goodbye and we can continue it somewhere else.Koko was already beginning to think that those rumours about the girl were false, she seemed so nice!
She decided to tell him something "Well you know what? I didn't even remotely think I was going to be in Gryffindor, if anything I was in Ravenclaw" she said while smiling "Or Slytherin, you know I'm Parselmouth, most of the people who have this personality were in your house".
You weren't a good student? I ask surprised? you look like one," she said, half surprised, half satsified.
If a girl as cool as Ava hadn't been a good student, Koko didn't care that she wasn't, Koko's parents were very heavy-handed about their daughters' education. "By the way, did you know that my sister's name is also Ava? She studies at BeauxBatons. My parents reluctantly accepted it", she said with a low chuckle. She remembered all too well the day her sister had gotten her parents to relent.
After a lot of crying and begging it had succeeded, Ava had been able to go to study in France.
Koko had been very sad to see her sister go to France, obviously she wanted Ava to be happy but they were very close and Koko found it hard to accept.
And she had found another Ava.
