Her best friend forgave the person that bullied both him and Es. Damien (the bully) hadn't changed and left Es with a tarantula on her legs all night. The next day, when she woke up, Damien convinced Artie (her best friend) that Es had made it up.

Now Es has cut her hair because she was bullied about it and is no longer friends with Artie as he took Damien's side on the jokes about her hair.
