After a thrilling morning now was time for the second summer race. The sun kept his bright and burning reign over the Scottish Highlands, having no mercy on the young players and those spectating the game. The sky in its immense blue no clouds to be seen, just the golden-white rays from his king, stretching his arms towards the green lands.

This time the teams facing each other were the Koldovstoretz’s team and Ilvermorny’s. It was a promising challenge having both teams amazing racers and for certain all of them would be proudly representing their schools at their best. The course may seem easy at first glance, no giant monsters in their way…but who knows what was really hiding amongst those trees and treacherous passageways? That would be kept to them to find out!

This was the first time the young captain was given the task to watch over a game, it was not a lie that she was feeling overwhelmed and pretty excited to face this new challenge. Picking up the megaphone she started to greet those who were present there, “Welcome all to the second summer broom race” she started joyfully but thinking that her voice never sounded so weird before, “I hope we all have a good time. I expect nothing but to see good sportsmanship between all the racers!” She stated.

“Please show your support to the Koldovstoretz team! Irina Afanasyeva, Nate Smirnow, Fyodor Adrikovich Sapozhnik, Roksana Nikolayev Volkov and Nikolai 'Kolya' Ryzhkov” she introduced and then waited a few minutes for the applause and cheers to slow and fade down enough for her to continue. “Now please welcome the Ilvermorny team! Andrew Lycan, Gregorí Erkens, Stephen Nobler Schwartz, Athena Addison and Mira Hawkins!” Another round of whistles, applause and shouts of encouragement were heard before she was able to speak again.

“On your positions racers,” She uttered with that distorted strange voice, “at my count of three is your time to go! One…two…THREE!” And in a blink of an eye those brooms left the starting mark “Good luck everyone!” Ying wished, then putting down the megaphone she muttered to herself, “you gonna need it…” a shiver went down her spine when memories from her previous race came to her mind.

EmmaLee had spent the entire morning and a good portion of the afternoon deciding what to wear. There were various dresses laid out on her bunkbed, waiting to be discarded or finally donned and taken out to the sunny benches where she would watch the summer broom races. She had flung the rejects up to the head of her bed, giving her cat, Minx, the opportunity to make a happy little nest of clothing.

Did it matter what she wore to go watch the broom races? Aside from the practicality of something cool and breezy as she would be sitting around in the hot sun, no. Was anyone else going to care what she wore? No. Had it ever mattered this much before what she would wear to anything? No. But for some reason it mattered now and it was driving her mad. She had at least, at this point, narrowed it down to a dark blue dress with cranberry trim, Ilvermorny's school colors, and a sunny yellow one that would surely rival the blazing sun itself today and would definitely display her Hufflepuff house pride.

Today was the first day of broom races at Hogwarts' summer camp and not only had the Hufflepuff broom racing team done excellent this year, earning them the privilege of racing during camp, but her friend Stephen Schwartz was a broom racer for Ilvermorny. Thankfully they were not racing each other, she thought with a giggle.

She looked over to the clock and groaned as she realized that she had missed the Hufflepuff match and pouted in disappointment at herself. How had she let something as silly as clothes distract her from supporting her house. She was about to miss the Ilvermorny race as well. Well, she guessed that decided it.

Throwing on the blue dress and pulling her hair into two long pigtails, she grabbed a lacy, white parasol for some portable shade to protect her pale skin and ran off out the door to the spectators stands for the broom races. Minx took this opportunity of her owner's abrupt absence to burrow further into EmmaLee's clothes and fall asleep.

EmmaLee, on the other hand, made her way up the steps of the stands just as the racers were lining up. She beamed as she saw Stephen line up and interact with his fellow racers. If she had dumbly missed cheering on her house, she was at least glad to be here cheering on her friend. She gave a wide wave in his direction that he probably couldn't see from way down there and found a spot as near in the middle as possible so that she could see as much as possible.

Her chest bubbled with excitement as she watched the racers mount their brooms. She wasn't really the athletic type to really do sports herself and she definitely wasn't one to do broom sports, but she couldn't ever help herself getting caught up in the excitement when watching. With one hand holding her parasol to protect herself from the blazing sun, she cupped the other one over her mouth and shouted, "GO ILVERMORNY!! GO STEPHEN!!" and the racers took off.
