APPEARANCE The signature trappings of part-veela heritage are written all over Odi’s features. Radiant good looks and the glossy, white-blonde hair give him an other-worldly allure that seems only to be undercut by his obnoxious demeanor. It’s almost evident that this person has spent their life skating by on their looks without much interest in developing as a person outside of that. His hair is kept buzzcut to his head as often as possible (Mostly as a way to try to avoid being clocked as a half-breed) and it seems he maintains a well-kept appearance for the most part.

STYLE After spending so many years stalking London outlet stores and beguiling muggle clerks into giving him discounts and freebies, Odi seems to have developed a taste for designer brands. However, without the muggle knowledge of how to style them, this often results in mismatched, oversized, and overly flashy clothing. In wizarding clothing, however, Odi’s fashion designer mother ensures he is kitted out in only the finest robes to suit his high-maintenance personality.

Odilon Wilde was born with each foot in two equally privileged worlds. On his father’s side, the money and prestige of the Wilde lineage. On his mother’s, the social influence of her rising-celebrity status. The early years of Odi’s life were mostly spent in the solitude of their terraced house in North London where Odi was born.

Odi’s father was all too happy to be a stay-at-home dad while his wife worked. He taught his son the basics of art and academia, but it soon became clear that Odi’s rebellious streak did not suit the tedium of home-schooling. Odi did not recall the first time he snuck out of the house, only the trepidation with which he had done so. Despite his anxieties, the muggles in London were nicer than he had expected. Often he would return home from his excursions decked out in freebies that these muggles had given him, none the wiser at how his Veela side had caused their sudden surge in generosity. ───────────────────

Upon the receipt of his acceptance letter to Hogwarts, Odi’s parent’s jumped at the opportunity to get their son into traditional schooling. They hoped being around children his own age might soothe Odi’s miscreant tendencies. This was a deeply misguided hope. Naturally, the watchful eye of the faculty did indeed keep Odi in line to a certain degree, but if anything, this made him more devious. He frequently pushed the boundaries of what he could get away with, and a reputation for trouble quickly developed.

Odi had assumed he would be sorted into Slytherin house. His uncle was the only one in his family that had attended the school, and he had been in Slytherin after all. Odi frequently wondered if the hat had made a mistake in putting him in Gryffindor despite the old adage that the hat had never been wrong. His nerve and daring certainly matched the traits associated with the lions, but he often questioned if he had the chivalry that his house was often noted for. ───────────────────

A pristine set of robes had been laid on the bed for Odi as his mother got herself ready for a showcase of her latest designs. Odi flat out refused to attend if he had to wear the outfit, insisting that they were itchy and uncomfortable. His mother dug her heels in and insisted. The resulting temper tantrum caused the outfit to burst into flames, much to the chagrin of his father and exasperation of his mother. Odi’s parents had not been certain that their son would show wizarding potential before his eleventh birthday, but were nonetheless thrilled at the outcome. Their son was a late bloomer for magical ability at the ripe age of 7, but thankfully he managed to stay within the period of eligibility to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Silvano Wilde is the youngest of his brothers and thus will be the last to inherit the family's estate, but his art and his family make him happier than any amount of money ever could. Silvano is a deeply empathetic and understanding father, but his passion for creativity sometimes blinds him to the mundane realities of day-to-day life.

Odi's mother began her career as a ballerina in an all-veela dance troupe until marriage and a child cut her career short. As beautiful as she is powerful, Odette has spent years cultivating the flawless persona of a designer extraordinaire. Her intelligence in dealing with the tabloids is rivalled only by her exquisite taste.

Stoic and cold-hearted, Odi's uncle Orfeo Wilde will officially be the inheritor of the Wilde estate when his parents pass.. Though he lives a quiet and solitary life on a farm where he breeds unicorns, there are whispered rumors that Orfeo has become a tad unhinged since the passing of his wife.

Odi's grandfather. Though he seems just as driven as his wife, Petrello is much more willing to defer to his wife in matters of industry. His general attitude seems to follow the old adage of happy wife, happy life. While his wife owns the precious metals and gems that fund the family’s lifestyle, Petrello is the current owner of the Wilde Mines.

The grand matriarch of the entire Wilde dynasty and Odi's grandmother. Despite having married into the family, Oria is the backbone of the entire lineage due to her indispensable contributions to the family fortune. She is a well-respected alchemist who made numerous discoveries within the field. Her demeanour is stern and cold, but it is evident that this is the result of having shouldered years of burden.

Blackthorn wands needed to endure danger before they fully bond to their owner, that was what the shopkeep at Ollivanders had said to him. Even though Odi wondered if it was simply an excuse for faulty wandmaking, he could feel that this was true as he held the wand in his hands. It resisted him, like an unruly horse fighting the reins, but there was a familiarity there. His spellwork with the wand was by no means sub-par, but he could feel that there was more to unlock.

"Quite rigid, perfect for wizards who are able to stick to their own convictions and are brave to be themselves..."

Odi had blinked at the shopkeep when they had said this. Brave to be himself? He could understand, but in truth Odi could not be sure that he even knew what his convictions were, much less wether he would have the courage to stand by them when they were called into conflict.

He looked down at the piece of wood. It was a deep, almost black hue with an intruiging handle. At the very base, there was a sort of hook shape that had been fashioned almost to look like the head of a swan. The handle had been Odi's mother's idea. She had gotten it commissioned specially before they had arrived at Ollivander's as an homage to the Wilde family Crest, as well as the role that his mother had played in her career as a ballerina.

Purebloods Reducio The story of the Wilde’s familial success is well-known among pureblood circles, particularly during conversations of riches-to-rags-to-riches tales. The family originates from Rome, where they had acquired a number of mines that they enjoyed moderate success from until the international statute for secrecy was passed in 1692. With the catholic church’s presence in Rome, the Wilde’s were unable to trade as openly as before and their wealth dwindled until Oria, Odi’s maternal grandmother, married into the family Oria Wilde was a skilled alchemist who utilised the resources in the Wilde Foundry in her research, turning the money pit into a gold mine (Figuratively, since she wasn’t so skilled as to create a philosophers stone). The Wilde family wealth boomed, and the family was restored to their former social standing in wizarding circles. The story is frequently told as a fond anecdote to depict pureblood resilience in the face of adversity. Additionally, the rumours of intermingled Veela heritage being introduced into the Wilde lineage are mostly dismissed as vicious gossip used to explain the family’s good-looks.

Classmates Reducio Odi is well known among his classmates to be a ruthless tormentor and occasional bully. He also gets away with much of it due to his raw charm, but he is by no means well-liked among many of his peers. A few people have questioned his heritage behind his back, but not many people would be bold enough to ask Odi outright whether he carried some Veela blood. The Wilde family as a whole are relatively well-known in the wizarding world, and so some of his peers might at least be aware of Odi's wealthy background.

Quidditch Reducio While Odi has not yet had much opportunity to get on the quidditch pitch, his reputation from quidditch friendlies is fraught with stories of his aggressive playstyle. He is known for risk-taking strategies and foul-play on occasion. Ultimately he listens to his team captains, but given free reign of the field he could certainly put someone in the hospital wing.

Newspapers Reducio If you frequently reads newspapers and tabloids, you might notice a resemblance between Odilon Wilde and the rising Veela fashion designer Odette. Many of her designs have been featured in Witch Weekly and her overall style is particularly in vogue right now. In fact, it would not be out of the question for wealthier students to have a set of her dress robes in their trunk.
