Oddly, the confidence radiated by the Frenchman was something Victor found reassuring, as if he had some to spare for the young boy. He seemed polite enough, in fact he seemed highly fixated on him, a new feeling for Victor, who spend most of his time trying to go about his business quietly and cause as little fuss as possible.

It was reassuring to know he had family at Hogwarts, perhaps then he may be able to have a few friendlier faces around the school, it could never hurt he supposed, and it was quite the reassurance to learn he was a pure-blood, after all pure-bloods ought to stick together. Oh, I'm from a Pure-blood family as well He said quietly not really wanting to attract too much attention but father says I should be careful who I tell that too.

I don't much know what to expect here, everyone seems so very established and...distant. As though they have all known each other for years. It seems better to just, stay out of the way He answered, looking around at everyone else in the room, as if to support his point everyone else chatted to one another in a friendly manner, although perhaps more accurately it would be described as a polite atmosphere, rather than a familiar one and it was Victor's inability to see the difference that clouded his outlook. May I ask which house your family ar.. He was cut off, a third year student just arriving interjected into the conversation, addressing the Frenchman before walking away. Victor glared, he'd remember her for that, What house your family are in? He continued.

Julia wasn't the most excited about going to Summer Camp. But as much as she missed her family and her horses, she had really wanted to try out the camp. Julia made her way through the crowd towards her cabin, in denim shorts and a plain brown shirt she'd gotten for her birthday just three days earlier. She had just come from checking the cabin lists, finding that she recognised a few names, but didn't know them. There were also international students in the cabin, so maybe they could be friends.

Stepping through the door, she was immediately drawn to the cabin. In her eyes, it was beautiful. She wasn't normally a reader, but the shelves in the cabin beckoned to her.

Julia stepped into the room to see quite a few of her bunk mates had arrived. Though some of them had already been claimed, she stood nervously to the side of a young boy who she didn't recognise, who was making conversation with an older French boy.

Her normally extroverted personality disappeared as she stood still, aware that she was one of the youngest.
"Hey, I'm Julia," she managed to mumble when there was a lull in the conversation.

Victor got quite a fright when this young, brown haired & fair skinned girl materialized seemingly out of nowhere right next to him. It wasn't her voice that startled him so much as it was to find a living breathing person next to him with very little explanation as to how she got there at all. He did not wish to be rude to his French companion, but he didn't want to be rude to her either. Strange how social interactions require a degree of manners, manners that Victor would not normally feel obliged to give, in fact within five minutes of being in the cabin it appeared he had more or less thrown caution to the wind because social norms dictated it. He sighed, clearing away these odd thoughts, the lady had introduced herself, he least he could do was be the gentleman.

Hello He said quickly I'm Victor. May I introduce Henri de Bourbon, from L'Académie de Beauxbatons. I hope I am saying that right. I was just making his aquaintence. Are you from England miss Jullia? There was no reason to restrict the conversation, or so it appeared to him. Maybe she was just as shy, or maybe this was the first time she had met a Frenchman like himself. Whatever the reason she seemed to interject here for some reason. Although considering the Frenchman's look's Victor assumed it was because of that.

Occamy Cabin
Gellert smiled gently as the Portkey brought him to Hogwarts. He had heard of this place and had always wanted to visit the rooms of its great castle and attempt to find the deep friend that he always wanted. At Durmstrang, friend was too gentle a word, and thus Gellert had acted strong and cold as they expected him to be, cold as the weather around them. But truly, he was better fit for Hufflepuff from what he heard of the school where Albus Dumbledore taught and died in. He took in the campgrounds and saw the beautiful green trees and wondered if he would have time to paint the landscape soon. He was assigned to the Occamy Cabin so he walked in with his trunk and set it down on his assigned bed and layed down on it. He was excited for what adventures this might bring. Perhaps he would meet someone as intelligent as him, someone better than him even. His smile turned shy as he daydreamed what such a person would be like, and his heart fluttered as he imagined what it would be like to truly have a friend that matched him and was loyal to him as he would be loyal to them. He wondered if he would find such a person here in the Occamy Club, or at camp. As he walked forward he replied with perfect neutrality, “Hello, you are Victor, Julia and Henri from what I’ve heard.” When he heard that Henri was from Beauxbatons he had fed, “Bonjour. Comment ça va?

Victor's plan to go unnoticed was quickly falling apart as more and more people gathered in a small group that he inadvertently helped to create. This new individual was different, even more so than the Frenchman, an odd accent, harsher and more distant, he seemed polite enough however. With that being said, he also seemed distant, in spite of his friendly demeanour, Victor found himself being more wary around him, and felt increasingly out of place. He wondered what the others made of him, although he personally wouldn't be surprised if Jullia vanished into thin air, she seemed closer to a ghost than a living person.

He had to stop himself, he was being too judgmental, perhaps now would be the time to retreat back into the corners. Still the man had made an effort to address him, it seemed only polite to acknowledge him, and three people didn't seem so bad, there may be a problem for him if there was more to come, and the camp would perhaps be a little more enjoyable if there were some friendly faces. That was the whole point of the camp, thus he turned to the newest arrival and spoke, quietly, his gentle Irish accent nearly being lost to the other conversations in the room,

''Mister Gellert, you have an odd accent. May I ask where you come from?''

"Ah, so you are Pureblood as well. Magnifique, I hope we can foster a connection that would make our parents proud." Au moins je ne dois pas suffrir un Moldu.* "My cousin is a Gryffindor! She should be a fifth year by September, so I don't believe you've ever met her."

Though Victor showed clear signs of hesitance, Henri took no offence to it. The English boy was probably just not used to such an overwhelming presence actively befriending him, but it was fine, not everybody could be as attractive and confident as Henri was. He'd make sure to teach Victor how to get rid of that social anxiety and walk with his head high.

When a younger, insignificant girl timidly greeted them, the teen wizard offered a charming smile to ease her nerves when he was introduced, nodding a bit at Victor's decent attempt at pronouncing Beauxbatons' French name. However, Julia's arrival was completely eclisped by another person - in Henri's perspective - when he spot another head of white hair identical to his at the entrance of the Occamy tent. He could feel his breath hitch slightly at the sight of someone who was almost as beautiful as him, with the same air of grace. For a split second, it felt like looking in the mirror. Henri could make the difference though, because he always spent a good amount of time in front of the mirror every morning.

"Why yes," he said, stepping forward and holding out his hand with a wink. "I am Henri. Henri de Bourbon. Plaisir de faire ta connaissance. Votre français est impéccable.*"

Gellert seemed to be the same age as him, judging by his appearance. Now this was a person he must have in his entourage. They would be great friends indeed.

If Henri's cousin was a fifth year then Victor doubted he would encounter her, that she was also in Gryffindor probably meant that the only time he would ever encounter her would be at a quidditch match and since Victor did not play quidditch, it was even more unlikely. Still, it was good information to have all the same. By now the conversation had moved toward the elder students, which Victor felt was his que to leave, no one needed or wanted a first year clinging to them. He gave a short bow to Henri It was a pleasure sir, I hope we talk again, but for now I've taken too much of your time. With that, he returned to his bunk and produced a book from his trunk.

He sighed, the Theory of Magic: Chapter 1 well, it wasn't as though the book was going to read itself and the day was advancing. Still, he wouldn't have minding talking to that girl a little more. He dismissed the thought, no time for that sort of thing, better get to it the more he learnt now the more prepared he would be when school actually started.

Gellert noticed Victor walk off but his attention was focused on Henri, a beautiful young man, similar looking to himself. He was quite a charmer, and lovelier than most. Gellert heard Henri’s voice falter. He hoped it was due to himself but there may be many other reasons that such may occur. He could return the charm however as he had the practice, schmoozing with the rich. He took the hand that was offered and instead of shaking it, placed a princely kiss upon it, looked up, and with a slight smirk on his face, replied, “Merci pour le compliment. Je suis charmé par votre présence. Peut-être est-ce trop direct, mais voulez-vous être amis?”
Perhaps this was too much of a charming front, but Gellert was excited to have a friend that was loyal to him, and he could definitely tell Henri was enraptured by him. His intelligence was also apparent as well. They would be wonderful friends if this spark continued. He then continued and said, “Je viens de Durmstrang et ma famille est partie d'une lignée noble.” He hoped this would entice the other person as it was clear that Henri was a person who cared for blood and wealth and beauty. It was true as well after all.

The growing population within the cabin brought with it increasingly unmitigated chaos. Avery loved it. While she'd never been to a summer camp before, this was almost exactly as she'd imagined growing up. Minus the whole, y'know, magical aspect of it all. It just served to enhance the experience anyways.

The Hufflepuff's attention is briefly diverted from the girl before her to take another sweeping glance across the new arrivals. The charismatic Frenchman already seemed to be drawing in a small group. Her brief survey is cut short by a question ringing out in-between the various conversations filling the room. Standing on her tiptoes, Avery unlatches her trunk and shifts a couple shirts to one side to pull out the writing supplies she'd carefully tucked away. She retrieves a small scrap of parchment and one of the quills before holding them out in offering to the boy who'd asked. She was at least fairly certain she'd heard him introduce himself as Louca over the various sounds of conversation. "Here you go! Is that enough parchment?"

Avery's attention is immediately drawn back to the girl she'd questioned upon hearing the answer. Her smile only brightens that much more at the new information, having yet to meet any of the athletes from the other wizarding schools. "Oh wow, great to meet you! I play Quidditch here at Hogwarts. For Hufflepuff," she clarifies, bouncing slightly on the balls of her feet. "But I help co-captain the Quidditch and the broom racing team, so I enjoy both broom sports." A nervous chuckle breaks free as she reaches up and idly scratches at the side of her chin. "Still, uh, learning a lot though. Which position do you play?"

If Gellert was looking to impress him with identical confidence, charm and nobility then by Merlin it was working. Henri didn't even acknowledge Victor anymore as the young boy timidly removed himself from the conversation and went somewhere else near the bed bunks. His focus was entirely on this new target, better and clearly at ease with interaction judging by the smooth tone of his voice and the graceful way he held himself. Henri felt as though he'd finally discovered a kindred spirit, though obviously in his secretly vain mind, nobody could be as perfect as him. But Gellert was very, very close to that caliber.

He must have this Durmstrang boy's attention and earn his trust.

"I'm not any less charmed than you, handsome." Henri smiled coyly, delighted in the way Gellert had dropped a kiss onto his hand. He made sure to let his touch linger, not pulling back too soon in an attempt to nurture this little spark growing between them. "Je viens de Beauxbatons et je suis également l'héritier d'une lignée Sang-Pur noble. Je pense que nous allons s'entendre très bien.*"

His silvery grey eyes twinkled in good-natured mischief as he finished his sentence. Henri had always enjoyed basking in the presence of other powerful, influential wizards. They noticed him for his natural beauty and were captivated by his demeanor, sometimes witty and sometimes flirtatious. With such a privilege came with standards to just who he wanted to be in his entourage. This Gellert would make a fine friend indeed, and Henri would do just about anything to preserve this connection for as long as possible if it meant he benefitted in many ways.

"Bien sûr que nous pouvons être amis. Nous ne sommes pas ici au camp d'été pour rester seul, n'est-ce pas?*" The blond French chuckled. "May I ask which country are you from, Gellert?"

*I come from Beauxbatons and I'm the heir of a noble Pureblood line as well. I think we will get along very well.
