───────────────────────────────────Keeping her focus skyward, Avery watches the action unfold with a slight tilt of her head. By all appearances, it seemed to be a fairly tame round. At least when it came to the violence of the sport. She couldn't help the slight wince that broke free at the sight of 50 points going the way of the opposing team. That would be a hard blow to come back from so early in the match, but if there was anything she'd learned from her first season of Quidditch it was that it was never too late for surprises. Even if the odds didn't necessarily seem to favor one.
The Hufflepuff could feel the nervous bouncing of her leg continue as she looked between the players above, trying to watch both teams in an attempt to pick up various styles of play. She was starting to regret not bringing along a notebook of some sort to jot her thoughts down. Not that there had been a great deal of time to prepare or get settled into the environment of a new team. Avery found that she couldn't really complain though, it was all thrilling in its own right. And she would be hard pressed to turn down a new challenge to this degree, especially when it came to Quidditch. If nothing else, it was at least a good means to meet some of the students from other schools. That particular argument had been one of the key points in the plea to her parents to be able to stay on a bit longer for the summer camp.
Avery's attention is only briefly pulled from the game by the angry shout from nearby. Jumping slightly at the outburst, she nearly drops both her broom and bat before she's able to scrabble and stop their descent. It's only when she's resituated that she goes to respond, pausing mid formation of a sentence at the sight of the boy turning his anger to a rather unfortunate stick instead. Blinking, Avery makes the silent decision to just give him a moment. She looks away again after a few seconds, focusing back in on the game.────────────────────────────────Action: Benched.Reducio

Was her first time on a quidditch game. Ying heard about it, read about it, but never had experienced her ways into the game. It was a nice show really, seeing all those players flying around trying their best to win their positions. But some, seemed to feel lost? Maybe? She wasn’t familiar with the plays, so probably was her lack of knowledge, but why some seemed to just be looking at the game instead playing it? She definitely would have to talk about quidditch strategies with some of her friends that actually knew how to play it. Probably Hiro could be the best one to explain it to her. “What the hell are they doing?” She asked in a whisper just to herself.
And that happened so fast and at the same time, that took the young Gryffindor and extra second to assimilate everything. The quaffles, without mercy went through her team’s rigs not just once, but five times! Ying cringed on her seat feeling the disappointment taking over her. The boy with an heavy scent, which she identified as possibly being from one of the east countries, put into words the frustration she also felt but was too polite to voice it…indeed what was their keeper doing?
Ying’s eyes never left the skies and the flying players, it was a pity their fault has been caught, in her point of view, Mkhaku’s reaction to the other two players attempting to crush him has been well deserved. To bad Pax had a keen eye to see it…but this was just a start, not the end of the game.
Ying tried her best to remain calm and at her best behaviour, after all it was a friendly game. Although, her pride and ambition was starting to burn inside of her, she was not a good loser and failure was a word difficult to accept in her personal dictionary!

Finally the game got started. Before the game Botan and Sara had done some strategic thinking to try and get them an advantage. Mkhaku, the boy they were trying to hit with the blunger, tried to blatch Sara, who luckily dodged.
Botan didn’t know the difference, but apparently Mkhaku’s response of trying to blatch Sara was cheating. If Botan would have known he would have called it out right away, but Pax, the moderator, saw it and sent Mkhaku on a penalty lap right away.
So much was happening in so little time, that Botan didn’t even know what to think.
On another part of the pitch, a lot of point scoring was happening. Akira was going crazy with putting the quaffle through the hoop. Akira ended up doing it five times, and the keeper didn’t block a single one of them. Botan let out a soft cheer of happiness for Akira, before going back to his job as a beater.
Botan pretty much had no clue what was happening, so he tried his best to stay out of the chasers way and to do his best to hit the blunger back, and away from all of his teammates especially the seeker who was busy looking for the snitch. He was glad to be included in the game, but he was questioning his ability to actually get his job done and do it well. He hoped that he and Sara could do it.
Light godmod permission was given.

When Hiro - or Tone, as he seemed to like being called these days - took a step toward him, Ginyami saw him look around as if searching for someone. Who that someone was became evident when he asked Ginyami if Valentine - Valentin, he knew he was referring to - was coming as well. Ginyami cast him a small, smile.
"I don't think so. He's been through a lot lately and has his own struggles to deal with, including with quidditch, so I didn't want to bother him with this silly practice match," he explained before Hiro went to go take a seat on the benches. Ginyami was happy at the prospect of possibly getting to play alongside him, but he also kind of hoped it wouldn't have to come to that since, for this game, Hiro was second string beater. It would have been better if none of their benched players ended up having to play, but only time would tell if that would be the case.
Once the game started, Ginyami had little chance to think of much else. He stationed himself by his team's goal hoops, ready to defend them if need be. However, no one seemed to make an attempt to score on his side. Instead, his own team tried to score against the other and, because the other Keeper didn't seem to be paying attention, Akira managed to grab the quaffle and score every time, winning their team a whopping 50 points.
"Nice going, Shimizu-san! Keep it up!" he called in Japanese, cupping a hand over his mouth so his voice would carry. In all honesty, he was surprised to see Akira participating in this practice game of quidditch because he had always thought of Akira as the more studious type. The student didn't seem too pleased to be playing, either, so Ginyami wondered what had motivated him to join the game in the first place. Perhaps because so many other Mahoutokoro students were playing? He would have to ask him later. Regardless, he was still amazing in his position and Ginyami was not surprised that he could excel at whatever he put his mind to.

Reducio- In the role of Keeper, if the Keeper effectively blocks an attempt to score rather than obtain possession of the quaffle they can kick the quaffle at the user who attempted to score. This must be declared at the time actions are submitted. This would have damage like a bludger using an accuracy roll to hit and the user's strength score to determine the amount of damage done. If the quaffle hits or misses the target, a quafflegrab the next round would be necessary to determine which team has possession of the quaffle again.
- In the role of Keeper when you attempt to block your goal, if your opponent somehow has advantage on attempting to score a goal, that is negated (they only have their normal single roll against you).

And the game began upon the Moderator's signal. Miharu leaned back on her broom as she rose up a bit more to get a better view of the field, staying still for a couple of seconds before flying around so as to not make herself a free target for those who might be going for her. For all she knows, their opponents might have their eyes on her, ready to strike with a bludger or two.
Looking back at her team, it looks like Akira managed to secure a couple of goals, putting them on the lead with 50 points. Perhaps the Keeper in the other team was caught off guard as they didn't even bother to guard him or simply, not paying attention. The Mahoutokoro beaters missed their target which is a shame and one of the chasers in the other team tried to blatch someone. Quite brave of him to do such a move. After all of that, Miharu went back into doing her part of the team and that's looking for the golden snitch.
While it is hard to look for the snitch while she is moving around the training pitch at a quick pace, it does make her harder to hit. That decision had certainly saved her for one, right there in the corner of her eyes, she had noticed an incoming bludger from the enemy team. Miharu's hold on her broom tightened some, swerving her body to the right as soon as the bludger was within her vicinity. She made a quick air roll, going under the bludger's trajectory and safely avoiding it thanks to her reaction time.
There, just as she rolled though, something shiny caught her eyes. It was only for a brief moment but time felt slow as Miharu caught a glimpse of the golden snitch during that dodge. It was in the air, zooming around in a quick manner with its fast moving wings, looking like a blur to the untrained eyes, tempting those who had spotted it to catch it.

Alan had to suppress a sigh as he circled the flying arena, ready to dive down and catch their seeker who appeared to be looking for the snitch. Judging by their expression she had not found it yet as her gaze snapped around in the hope to find a glimmer of gold. Alan shook his head, doubting that he would ever had the focus to keep track of such a task, if he didn't just stumble upon the snitch by accident that is. Alan grinned now, this was a fun thought that he managed to entertain for a while as he waited for something to happen. He had a good overview on the pitch and used that time to try and gain some subpar judgement of the personalities at hand here. Because, well, obviously he couldn't just assume his assumptions would be spot on as he had actually no idea who most of these people were. But that somehow made it even more exciting to try and figure them out anyway. Or at least see if any of them ticked in a similar way and could become possibly friends or at least acquaintances to him. Most of the students here seemed skilled at least, some more so than others and some seemed more comfortable as they maneuvered on their brooms whereas other ones looked as if they might have never properly tried Quidditch before and so were hesitant to even act and embrace the game. A sentiment that Alan understood to some extent but despite Quidditch not really being his thing he was able to look past that and give it his all as a team sport demanded.

Akihiko didn't love the fact that his cousin was flying and he stuck on the bench, but that was the problem with his position. Seeker had one player flying, that was all. He ought to choose a new position, if he ever wanted to actually play, not just sit on the bench and cheer his team on. Although he was way less likely to get injured from here... maybe he would get lucky and his cousin would get hit by a bludger and fall off his broom. He deserved it, with his comment.
The game began with a start, although it wasn't particularly eventful from his spot on the bench. He was mainly focused on the chasers, although he was supposed to be watching the seeker. The chasers were just so much more exciting. In fact, they had scored multiple times and he let out a whoop. "Way to go!" He cheered in english, so all would be able to know how proud he was.
While his eyes had been focused on the chasers, a foul had happened nearby. He glared (rather reservedly) at the other team, and was reminded of his cousin as he did. This seemed like something Botan would do, a foul at the start of the match. In his mind, doing the fouls would happen sometime in the middle when it wasn't so likely to get caught, not the start. Not that he would ever dream of doing something like that at a match. Sticking to the rules was more his style.
He stayed at the bench and awaited his need within the game, if it would ever come.Reducio1) xNimbus 1700

I N P C YEAR 2nd ROLE Beater SCHOOL Uagadou STATUS Pureblood I N P CKissa resisted the urge to bare her teeth. As a bludger rocketed by her head she'd gotten distracted, her fellow beater was being targeted, and that moment of hesitation had cost her the few precious seconds she'd needed to aim. She'd missed. Her bat had swung and hit only empty air. "Ibn al kalb Son of a bitch," she cursed, gripping her broom handle with a single firm hand as she swerved tightly around.
With her other hand she readjusted her grip on the bat, fingers settling into the worn leather grip. The weight was the same, but the wood unfamiliar. This was not her bat, not her field, not her home. A lick of anger sang through Kissa's blood as the other team scored. She was furious, not at Seleshi, not even at the other team-- but at herself. This was her school's first overture to the European continent; for Kissa and her team to have been chosen to represent Uagadou had been an incredible mark of pride. And what am I doing with that pride? Snarling like a dog and punching air?
The flames of anger still blazed tight and hot in Kissa's chest, but she ignored the burn. She would not allow her anger to control her, no matter how many indignities she bore. She took a steadying breath and lifted her bat once again.@Pax Zhang | ACTION AS STRATEGIZEDReducioA B I L I T I E S
Broken Broomshaft In Quidditch, on a full hit with a bludger, if the user is knocked off their broom there is a 25% chance that the broom is shattered as well. If the broom is shattered, the opponent will not be able to use the broom for the duration of the match. If they are caught by an ally, they would have no broom to return to and would have to ride with an ally or remain on the ground for the duration of the game.
Calming Presence Allies gain a 10% chance to auto-hit their chosen target. This does not stack.

Well, the match hadn't started off very well. Zophyr's team was already fifty points behind, and one guy had to do a penalty lap after having tried to blatch a scary-looking fifth year. Zophyr heard the other beater of his team curse (her name was Kissa, if he remembered correctly - he didn't know his team that well just yet). He could relate. Though he didn't show it, he was rather annoyed at both himself and his team. Himself, because his bludger had missed, and his team because, well, they were getting nowhere.

He'd aimed at the seeker of the other team, a girl who looked about his age, but she'd easily dodged. She was amazingly quick, he didn't understand how she did it. Unfortunately, Kissa, too, hadn't been much help, so neither beater was able to do any damage. Zophyr took a deep breath, steadied his broom, and got his head back in the game.
He'd never been much of a sore loser, but then again, who liked losing? And this was his first game with real teams that weren't just made up of his family or friends. He felt slightly pathetic. Still, though... he knew he had a good team. They could catch up. They could do this. They may have had a little disadvantage, but things happened. Zophyr was ready to do whatever it took to get them back on track.
