Although Estelle was nervous - as she rarely sung in front of others - she was excited too. A frog choir was a great way to join in with the school spirit and although she didn't have a frog of her own, she was hopeful that there would be a way for her to still sing without one.
Estelle walked into the room, hands clasped behind her back. She had chosen a song she loved - it was a muggle song - and one of the greatest musical theatre songs of all time (too her) - Burn from Hamilton.
She walked into the centre of the room.
"Hi, I'm Estelle Nyx, I am auditioning for the part of a first Soprano and my audition song is Burn from Hamilton."
Estelle began the song and soon left her fears behind, caught up in the music she loved. Her voice was soft and lilting, but carried with it the strong emotions conveyed within the song. As she got more into the song, her facial expressions began to match what Eliza's (the character who sings the song) emotions were. It finished, leaving an overwhelming feeling of sadness and anger. Estelle's ability to convey emotion through song was truly incredible.
She left the audition feeling hopeful, although she doubted the power of her voice ant internally focused on the mistakes, which to her there were many.
