Quidditch Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw - Spring 2023

While sitting around and thinking about all of her various homework or tasks that needed completing was interesting enough. Atlas did decide that it was probably time to get more involved in the game. If they weren't going to press her with a strong offense, then she would take matters into her own hands.

Atlas watched with a wide smile and cheered loudly for each batch of points that Ethen was able to score for their team. But she watched the opponent seeker working equally hard to try and get some quaffle control. Pressing forward, Atlas ignored her now-open goalposts and focused solely on throwing off the opposing seeker. Moving in to blurt the boy, Atlas smirked as she locked their brooms and veered the seeker off course. Almost as expected, Atlas heard her penalty called out and chuckled softly to herself as she turned to begin her penalty lap.

Keepers Catch
10% chance to automatically block an attempt to score a goal as long as the Keeper is in the goal area. If an attempt to score has been blocked through this effect, the Keeper may as a free action hurl the quaffle at the opponent team in an attempt to injure a player of their choice (it would be recovered with a quaffle grab action) and treated like a bludger or pass the quaffle to a team mate. This must be declared by the Keeper if either of these free actions are to be utilized.

Evasive Maneuvers
Harder to hit on average, 10% on auto-dodge chance that anything that targets this wizard automatically misses. This is rolled separate from the attack roll.

Jorah was surprised he was still in the game after that hit he had sustained. Jorah was losing strength. He was filled with a strong sense of dread as if he was late for a graduation and he was running out of time for what he needed to do. Time was not on their side this...time. The longer this game went on, the closer the Hufflepuff seeker was to catching the snitch. They needed make a big play, right here, right now.

Her attention as always was perked when boos or cheers errupted from the crowd. Both the second string players on the bench next to her and the narrorator's commentary clued her into what had happened. In conclusion Rita and Clark were sharing a broom still which made then a huge target yet they managed to hang on. Still, they were evenly matched, and then the points began racking up, 40 for Hufflepuff from Ethen himself and 10 for Ravenclaw. Gaining an early lead by quaffle points was always nice, but didn't always last long. Learning names and positions was hard, but it appeared Ravenclaw's seeker was Edward and had to chase the snitch again as Atlas provided a great distraction. Just as she feared, the good new didn't last. Roxette's named blared across the announcers mic and Annie shudder. She had just flown in last round and was immediately out the following round. Well, sometimes instinct came with a few years of practice, and several bludgers to the gut to whip a person into shape for Quidditch. Perhaps she could give the girl some pointers in the future as she had been a Chaser a few years back. Sighing, Annie reverted to putting her chin in the palm of her hands and humming whilst her knee bounced in a content rhythm.

Howard's crimson eyes scanned the field as he circled the pitch. Both to avoid any bludgers that may head his way and to search for the next opportunity. Yet another one of his chasers would fall to the trained arms of the Ravenclaw beaters and he just hoped they could survive just a bit longer. He looked to Avery and they signaled for the next play. Here goes nothing..

Sigh. Another score for Hufflepuff. At this point they were raking up the points, little quaffle hogs that they were. Why was she being excluded from the action? Oh well, at least she was of some use to the team. She still couldn't believe they had lost Cec so quickly...

PARAGON OF HEALTH: Winnie is boosting Jorah and Edward, giving them an extra 10% of health.

Edme’s knee bobbed up and down like a buoy, and she had picked her nails down to skin. The game was still picking up, of course, so she shouldn't have been worrying, but still she winced as Huffleupuff scored again.

She tried to keep herself energized, giving a few quick words of encouragement to her team through the noise. In the end, all it would come down to was the snitch. She couldn’t imagine the stress of being a seeker.

Penalty laps are the absolute worst thing to happen in Quidditch. Lavinia knew what she did was wrong, and understood the consequence before doing it, but it just sucked for her to be circling the field watching in. However, she knew this was the absolute best option for the team and all Lavinia needed to do was to get better at hiding her blatches. On conclusion of her penalty lap, Lavinia was more than ready to play again they might be down 50 points but she knew her team could change that!

well things couod be far worse. He was just glad that he had the where with all to defend ethan from that richochet. His instincts were still sharp enough. Ideas aalready forming in his head but the question remained if he would be able to pull it off. Still he had faith like always and was just excited to play more anything. It was tome to refocus on the match. They all had this after all!

Broom Skill 1: Beater, if you hit an opponent with a bludger the bludger will then ricochet off that user and target a second opponent of choice (must be declared, if not declared the target will be random and can be an ally but not yourself).
Broom Skill 2: Beater, if you critically hit with a bludger, instead of doing double-damage you do 2.5x damage. If you critically fail with your bludger attempt to hit, rather than having your bludger randomly target another user (including yourself or an ally) the bludger cannot target you on a critical fail (but it can still target your allies). On a re-target, there is a random roll for target and then a fresh accuracy roll.
