The Last Ever After is stated to be in the original series according to the author o.O there's an afterword where she answers questions about the main original series. She says the Last Ever After is the last part of the series but that she would continue with more too.

I tend to read afterwords by the author in the book before I read the book -hides face- so that's the only reason I know this.

Let me check the book and see what number it is.
Ah found it.
So I found that the Last Ever After is the last book of the original series.
Each one she wrote is a trilogy.
Last Ever After is Book 3 of the original main series.

Then a new trilogy of hers starts which takes place after the original main series (3 books).

Gosh, I don't know. The first book in any series is always nostalgic, so I'd have to put that up there... I agree with you that 5 & 6 are fantastic, but I also adore the third one. Ranking wise, it would be: 1, 5, 3, 6, 2, 4.
