For all that she'd expected upon entering the wizarding world, the physicality of it all came as a surprise. And despite the exhaustion that seemed to seep down to her bones, Avery was grateful for that. Slumping down into the grass, the Hufflepuff lay back and went limp as she tried to cool down after the team's latest practice. She watched the clouds waft through the sky as her own thoughts began to drift.

Magic was still something of a wild concept for her, to this day attempting to adjust despite having spent months immersed in this new world she found herself thrust into. To say she still felt out of her depth more often than not would be nothing short of accurate. As much as she enjoyed learning magic and discovering the magical world, there were times where she didn't quite feel as though she belonged. Hogwarts was a far cry from her small Irish farm.

Which is perhaps what impulsively drew her towards Quidditch so early on. Sports were familiar ground, something to latch onto for some vague sense of familiarity in a brand new world. Sure, there were some glaring differences. Many, in fact. But being able to have a physical outlet reminiscent of her previous experiences, scant as they may be, with muggle sports had helped to ease some of those first year jitters. Avery embraced the chance to throw herself into something familiar.

When she wasn't practicing with her bat or working on her endurance, Avery found comfort in the few belongings she'd brought along from home when she was feeling a little too homesick. After realizing that some reminders of home were sorely needed, she'd returned from break with far more than she'd first left with. Some of her favorite muggle books were on hand for nights in her hammock that felt a little more lonely than others. The offer of borrowing books was offered to more than one curious dormmate. When she was struggling to keep either mind or body still, her brother's old rubik's cube was the typical go to. Not that she was proficient enough to ever complete it before her attention was pulled elsewhere, the familiar motion of fiddling with it helped.

Avery is shocked from her thoughts by a sudden spike of cold on her cheek. Blinking, she lifts a hand and idly wipes her palm across it. The slight wetness immediately clues her in and the Hufflepuff's eyes return to the sky and the slightly darkened clouds moving in. With a soft groan, she pushes herself up from the grass and gathers her broom and bat. She'd planned to stay after for a bit to work on her swing, but apparently the weather had other plans. Homework it was, unfortunately.

Aabrita tried to fit in with all the other witches and wizards but it never worked. She tried to fit in with other close relatives. That didn't work either. In fact, the only person she could actually fit in with was her half-goblin mother! She knew all the thing the Aabrita couldn't bear to hear but now since she is dead, there is no-one Aabrita fits in with.

She always dreams of her brilliant, amazing mother who always knew how to make it better.

She has always loved eating delicous, tasty meat along with dry roots and super, fun fungi which is widley known as mushrooms. Sometimes she creates her own recipies of all of these things together! Most of the time when she is angry, she speaks in a special language that is called Gobbledegook in which no one can understand her.

People sometimes tease her for her long, thin fingers and feet and even for her roundish head! Usually she gets called little miss goblin and even her father keeps on laghing and giggling at her for this. The worst part is, he does it behind her back! It is awful! If she ever knew she would possibly send herself to an orphanage.

It is positivley hard for Aabrita to make lasting, caring friends but she does not stop trying to make things the way they should be- very good! The resilient girl who works so hard to rech her ever growing goals, never gives up on any remaining, kind friends, some strange but fair people she cares for or her very own self!

She has a near-pathological fear and hatred of horses and dogs, most likely due to the mutual hatred displayed by these animals. She is, in many ways, defined by her terrible, uncommon fears—not just of normally sweet dogs and usually loved horses but also of
full humans, and even her not very common religion is based on fear of her gods. Imagine that!

There are 3 types of goblinoids; goblins, hobgoblins and bugbears. While on the surface, they appear to be as distinct in nature as dwarves, elves and halflings, they are in fact united by their worship of Maglubiyet, a conquering god who conquered the gods of these 3 races to unite them under one banner. This little piece of information gave Aabri enough questions to figure out if she was a part goblin or not. Thankfully she was the more common goblin instead of the less widley know hobgoblin or bugbear! Phew!

Their eyes vary from red to yellow and are usually dull and glazed and her eyes are like a light yellow so she is definatelty a part goblin at the very least! Because of her darkvision, she will frequently attack under cover of darkness, when her otherwise unlucky targets may be effectively blinded so she may get some defence.
While Aabri (sorry, Aabrita) is a tough bugger, she has numerous weaknesses. She is susceptible to: Iron (like all fairies) Direct sunlight as well but not too much since she is only part goblin thankfully.

Second year had been pretty rough for Pax, especially in terms of quidditch. They'd had to deal with several losses, and as the captain, it was nothing short of demoralising. Why couldn't they win, what was up with that? It took a toll, mentally and physically, to not see any success to all of the work that they and the team were putting in. They'd always prided themselves on being good at quidditch, at least against their brothers, but at Hogwarts the game was a whole other level.

But it was a simple solution. They saw nothing to do but dive into practising, and honing their physical ability. Obviously it was something with them and their leadership that meant they weren't winning (at least in their head), so working on improving was the only thing they logically could see to do.

"Again."

Their older cousin stared back at them, face serious. Pax had employed their help during their annual family visit to the ancestral home, and as a sports coach, he'd took the role incredibly seriously.

The baseball they were using hurtled towards them, powered by a strong swing. Attempting to slip to the side, Pax wasn't able to move aside in time and it connected to their arm with a dull thud, only bruising them slightly. It still made them drop their own bat though. Letting out a sigh, they chucked the ball back at their cousin, who caught it deftly with one hand.

"Come on, look alive. You won't get better if you don't put in the work."

He was right, and Pax knew it. They nodded silently and retrieved their bat, grasping it with both hands tightly as they readied themselves again.

And this went on. Every day they were there at the ancestral home, Pax would spend at least two hours of each day with him as he would throw baseballs in their direction, and they attempted to avoid it and hit back. It bored them to no end, being so repetitive of an activity. But, as their cousin would repeatedly remind them, this was for their own good. This was for their benefit, for the team's benefit.

When their cousin had to leave, they left behind a bludger, though a bit worn and used, to continue the work they'd started together. And, whilst it was slow but sure, Pax began to get better. It wouldn't work every time, but that was almost impossible to guarantee, so any good progress was progress enough for them.

Raizel takes pride in her spellcasting ever since she had started learning about spells during her first year in Hogwarts. Charms and DADA had been some of the few subjects that she took seriously, studied them more. But she felt her skills were insufficient, especially when she started putting what she learned into test.

Duels are popular and ever since the girl had heard about it and took her first step into that dueling club, she had decided to take that path no matter how hard it was. She had learned the necessary spells that were used in the dueling stage and even took some time studying a couple of advance spells that she finds useful or simply, interesting and fun. She was preparing herself for when she would get the chance to stand on that piste, whether it'd be an unofficial one or when her name had finally made it into the Gryffindor's dueling team.

Her chance came, in the form of duel practices but the most notable one for her was that duel in March. Despite how hard she had been preparing, things still went wrong and that had sent the girl into a slump. Despite the happy-go-lucky and playful mask that she always wore ever since then, it still didn't help wash away that feeling of not being able to see the results of your hard work.

She thought hard about it, about what she was missing. Was it her accuracy or simply, her spellcasting? She was too predictable perhaps? Would it help if she becomes faster but precise with her casting? Perhaps. Someone once told her that speed is your friend. Rushing things would lead to a disaster but maybe… if she could improve her spellcasting, perhaps she'd be able to cast spells with haste but still precise.

A new goal she has, and that's the improvement of her spell casting before she could move on to the next stage of this practice. Raizel began looking closer at her notes, practicing wand movements, the incantations. She took it slow at first, trying to make little to no mistake in the way she enunciated the incantations, making it as clear as possible. For her wand movements, she needed to have a better grasp at it if she wanted to cast spells with speed and ease and for it to not backfire at all.

She had never missed a day not practicing, trying to perfect her spellcasting although there are still times that she fails it but they weren't as bad as before whenever she messes up a spell or two during practice. This took a lot of her patience as she had felt the need to rush to finally see the results that she had been looking for but eventually, she took her time. Haste makes waste, especially when she is just starting out. Once she got the hang of it after all the practices, the results that she's been looking for are now right before her. Her efforts weren't wasted as she had gotten a lot better with her spellcasting. Precise, close to perfection, avoiding mistakes as much as possible.

Ever since Damion was a wizard, he had been intrigued to learn more about magic. Every free time he had had been spent in the Library cramming for exams or well reading about spells. He was too eager to know more about spells and casting. With him having been in the Dueling team of his house earlier, he had known how important it was to have a better casting ability.

Something that Damion was very intrigued about was the magic spells. He couldn't learn enough about it. Damion might have had a lonely time in his early years of school but that had ended up with him spending a lot of time in the library and reading through books about magic and spells. He had tried to learn and grasp as much of the information as possible. Yeah he couldn't do spells or charms that were above his year but he could still read about them.

As Damion grew older, he started being more open and outgoing. He started making friends. But his love for books that his parents had inculcated in him had not gone. He would still go to the school library. Maybe this is why he always had a fascination of books.

Besides reading and spending time in the library, Damion had other interests as well. He was not such a nerd as people would think. Yes he knew more things than others. He was a little more aware of things and was knowledgeable. He had even had some of the good memories of his school life happen in the library. Well like life would have it, he had had bad memories of being in the library too.

Being a loner for the younger years, Damion had a little harder time focusing himself on the bright side of things which didn't include his nose be buried in books. The only friends for the time he was a loner in the first few years of the school, were the books that took him to places without him having to move. He had had a lot of adventures with books. Some of the books he had read multiple times; whether that was pertaining to romance novels or recipe books.

Damion had taken a keen interest in spell books too. He wanted to be a good wizard who would know how to cast a spell properly and won't mess it up when it mattered the most. He didn't want himself to freeze in an important moment; when someone's life was in danger for instance.

How did they get the wand? Word count: 340
Landon couldn't find his wand. He swore he had laid it on his bedside table but apparently he had not. He searched frantically, pushing things around and generally making a bit of a mess as he did so. Landon was a little disorganized in general, so it wasn't that much of a surprise that he was making a mess. Landon looked down after a while and saw the tip of his wand peeking out from underneath some clothes that he had knocked to the ground. Landon reached down and pulled on the wand, but he hadn't realized he was standing on the rest of it. He tugged hard and heard a snap. Landon looked down in alarm and took a few steps back before pulling the wand out from under the clothes. He had snapped his wand in half, with the core being the only thing that kept the two pieces together. Landon wasn't the most emotional person, but he began to cry and ran to find his parents. He showed them his wand and they scolded him because wands weren't cheap, reminding him to take better care of his wand in the future.

So here he was, back in Diagon Alley with his family. Landon felt embarrassed that he had been so careless with his wand but he was grateful to his parents for being able to purchase a new one. His old wand had been a 25,4 cm cherry wood and veela hair wand, but Landon had never felt comfortable with it either. It had been a good wand, but it didn't feel like an extension of himself, if that made any sense. He didn't doubt the wandmaker's ability to pair him with the right wand, but maybe there was one that was better suited to him. Landon tested a few different wands before one just felt right to him. It was a 25.4 cm hornbeam wand with an unicorn tail hair core. Landon swished it around and realized it felt very flexible, which felt just right to him.

Wand Length: Word Count: 73
The wand that chose Landon this time was 25.4 cm (10 inches). This wand was on the shorter side, but not short enough to show that he was lacking in personality. Landon isn't one to have a big, flashy personality, but he still has a personality himself. He tends to cast his spells properly, almost technically, and not dramatically like some people. He is the complete opposite to his twin in this regard.

Wand Flexibility: Word Count: 80
Landon's wand is Very Flexible, just like Landon himself is. Not in physical flexibility, but Landon adapts easily to new situations and is always willing to learn. His view of the world changes and grows as he learns more about the world. It is still less flexible than some wands, because Landon has room for growth. He isn't the most adaptable person, but he tries to be when he can. He tries to look at things with an open mind.

Wand Wood: Word Count: 179
The wand that chose Landon was made of Hornbeam wood. It suits him because Landon has a single, pure obsession with history. If he could take only one class at Hogwarts, it would be History of Magic, which he knows is a little odd compared to his classmates. Ultimately, he would love to teach history somewhere, whether it be at Hogwarts as a professor or just simply at a muggle school. He is still young, so he has time to make up his mind, but he is set on being a history teacher of some sort.

Landon has a strong personal code of honor. He tries to live as a good person, one who is openminded and tries his best to make smart decisions. He believes that people deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. He is one to stand up for what is right and he stands up for those who are too scared to stand up for themselves. He isn't bold, but he does care about other people and wouldn't want to watch them be bullied.

Wand Core: Word Count: 155
The wand that chose Landon has unicorn tail hair for the core. It isn't an uncommon wand core. The reason it suits Landon is that it is consistent with how it produces magic. Landon is a very consistent sort of person. He is reliable and always has his homework done on time. He might be disorganized, but he is always the sort of person to be dependable. Landon is also very loyal to those he calls friends and family, just like the wand core can be extremely loyal to its owner.

Landon ultimately doesn't care if his wand is the strongest one out there. His goals in life don't really require magic, since he wants to teach history, so he doesn't need a wand that is powerful and aggressive. He is a passive sort of person and he doesn't often perform offensive magic. He would never be a dueler, preferring to handle things more peacefully.

Hannah had grown a lot over the past years, and not just outside, but inside as well. She was way more mature, especially going to a real school, and getting the whole experience of magic.

The girl was always a brave person, she knew how to protect herself, and others, even as a child. Maybe that was the reason she was a Gryffindor?

Hannah was always a curious child, and somewhat different than most. While others were afraid to walk, she was already running around in the ballroom of her home. When she was five years of age, her parents signed her up for an acting class. She hated every stupid second of it. The girl absolutely hated acting, and the teacher, even more. What came to her parents' attention was that she was not afraid to speak her mind. Hannah had told the teacher she hated her, and acting even more. The whole point of it was stupid. Well, to her at least.

Her parents, then started to observe their child, her acts. They observed her when she played Scottish Rugby, she was aggressive, even at nine years old, and was not afraid to loose. Her mother was scared she would hurt her self, but her father protested behind the girl's back, and told her mother that she would be completely fine. Even if she did hurt herself, Hannah would get back up.

Once, when the girl was about eight years old, she was playing Scottish Rugby, with some of her neighbors, who were Pure-Blooded. The girl broke her leg while playing, but she insisted that she was fine. Hannah felt the pain, but she really preferred to continue playing. She did not, however, and had to stop playing and a quick trip to St. Mungos would heal it. Her father, then, took her there and it was perfectly fine after that.

Hannah never actually. suffered actual traumatizing events, but sometimes her parents acted in "stupid", according to herself, ways. They were really strict, but she new this. Once, she was afraid of her own parents, but she got over that, and used to their rules. The girl had overcome that fear. Some would've thought that that fear was stupid, it was, a little, but she never told anyone, except for her journal, who she treated like a person.

She wasn't afraid of basically anything, but everyone was afraid of something, yet Hannah had not discovered her "something" yet. Actually, in her first year she knew what her "something" was. It was school, she was completely afraid of going to school and quidditch, but now, in her second year... She wasn't afraid of anything, maybe she was, deep inside, hidden away, but she didn't know what it was that the girl was afraid. Some might even call her fearless.

Amadea's favorite part of attending Hogwarts was learning about casting spells and practicing doing so. Growing up in a Muggle household, it was one of the few things that still managed to blow Amadea's mind every time it happened. It had been almost seven years at Hogwarts and she was still blown away when she thought too much about the fact that she could use a wooden stick to cast spells.

Perhaps it was this fascination with the mechanics of casting spells that led Amadea to joining the dueling team. It had been the highlight of her Hogwarts career; the team dynamic created a supportive environment where Amadea felt as though she could thrive and show her house pride. She also enjoyed being surrounded by talented duelists who she could learn more from. She remembered when she first began learning about the concept of splitting a spell, allowing it to target two different people at the same time. If casting a singular spell was enough to blow Amadea's mind, splitting spells completely fried her brain until it was shriveled up on the floor. From the moment she was introduced to the practice, she knew this was something she wanted to do.

Amadea had never been a particularly violent person; if anything, she was exactly the opposite. Yet somehow, when she was in a dueling match, a different side of her emerged. It was a new, competitive side that did not back down from a fight and was not afraid to pull out tricks up her sleeve. So, Amadea resolved to learn how to spread her spells. After talking to some of her classmates that were able to do it, she concluded that the ability centered around casting strong spells with so much power that it ended up targeting two things. As Amadea began practicing, she remembered what Mr. Ollivander had said to her the day her wand had chosen her.

Her 24.8 cm cherry wood and phoenix feather wand had been described by Mr. Ollivander as "rather bendy, highly powerful and loves being powerful, and extremely difficult to control." Amadea prided herself on her ability to adeptly wield her wand, especially considering the description it had been given. It gave her the confidence to make bold choices knowing that she was skilled enough to wield a stubborn and powerful wand.

Through the culmination of experience on the dueling team, confidence as an upperclassman at Hogwarts, success in her ability to cast spells, and the support of her fellow teammates, Amadea was able to wrangle her newfound confidence into her spellcasting. Being able to be powerful and outgoing on the dueling stage was the perfect opportunity for Amadea to practice asserting herself in a setting that she was comfortable in. As she continued practicing her techniques and funneling the power of her spells to spread them, she only was gaining more and more confidence, allowing her spellcasting to grow more and more powerful. As she approached her last year at Hogwarts, Amadea was able to cast spells more powerful than she ever had before. She was proud of the progress she had made and couldn't wait to use her skills in her last year at Hogwarts.

Arden had always been into sports. Since he could walk he was rushing around, grabbing things and either throwing them or running off with them. as he got older Rugby was a game his father and he shared an interest in and that interest turned into a passion. They watched it on TV, they went to games, traded cards and read about old games. The proudest he had ever seen his father was when he scored his first goal in his Junior league rugby games.

Arden learned the true reason behind this shortly after learning he was magical, that his father was a wizard. His father, played a wizard sport called Quidditch. He not only played it, but he was pro before he retired to marry Ardens mum and live a normal life among Muggles. Quidditch was, in a way, Rugby on brooms. With this knew knowledge that just meant one thing to Arden, he needed to get good at and play Quidditch at Hogwarts.

He didn't want to rush in half cocked, and mess up. He needed to learn first, to study. His first year was spent getting comfortable on the broom and learning to fly around. Normal at first then faster and faster in time. Next he needed to learn and understand the rules of Quidditch so he cracked open Quidditch through the ages and read it cover to cover a few times. He studied plays, maneuvers, watched every game he could, read transcripts of games passed, looked into players, teams, championships, records, absorbing everything he could. Finally, it was time to start practicing. The summer his second year Thats what he did, with help from his father to show him the ropes and teach him the right way to do things.

His third year he watched every practice he could, studied the moves, and knew he was going to be a chaser but he needed to be the best, So he watched how every chaser played and saw the things they did right, and hoped to learn from the things they did wrong. Once he had all his notes he spent one last summer with dad training, working on his aiming, working on his reaction time, working on his moves. He needed to be ready to kill try outs, to soak up everything he could form practice, then dominate in the pitch.

It was during a practice game with some of his dads Friends that it all finally clicked. He was moving through the pitch, taking advantage of the extra dimension flying brought to a game, and his crowning moment of glory was when he read his fathers movements, anticipating a pass and managed to slip passed a beater to snatch the quaffle out of the air, intercepting the pass and sending it flying through the air for a goal.

Arden was ready, He could feel it in his bones. and he could tell from the the look on his fathers face, that he thought so too. Prep time was over.

A child of theatre, Harmony loves the intimacy of theatre performances being a show of the present. Unlike movies, there are no opportunities to make mistakes and edit them out; all the special effects rely on tricking the brain, and the audience is there with the cast as the plot unfolds. Each performance is different and holds its own magical spice. The issue with this, however, is that mistakes are a very possible event, and the resulting disaster is bared for all to see.

Harmony has been in so many performances and she is quite certain she’d be able to name at least one error in each one, from that time King Charlemagne fell off his skateboard, to the time Flotsam had been electrically charged and flickering through the entirety of “Daddy’s Little Angel”, to the countless times she’d dropped her handkerchief in that dreaded dance number, but the number of mistakes would have been a lot higher if it weren’t for the keen eyes of all those onstage. Human mistakes like King Charlemagne’s topple may be hard to avoid, but several other prop mistakes have been shut down and Harmony takes great pride in the anticlimactic nothing that follows after a successful save.

Throughout the entirety of each performance, Harmony’s peripheral vision is working away, noting every entrance, every exit, every cue that her character isn’t supposed to directly see and sometimes, a sneaky hand flicking a safety hazard offstage. She works with stage-mates to perfectly time movements, adjust formations, and place props. Most importantly, she watches for the minute differences in each performance and works to ensure they have no negative impact. If a feather from someone’s fan is lurking near the coming dance number, Harmony notices it and it is blown off. If the book she’s supposed to seamlessly grab has slipped off its table during her character’s longing audience-staring, it will be a seamless transition. Her pre-show scans of the set are often fruitful, with the tiniest peep of potential error being righted for an optimal run.

Even when not on the stage itself, Harmony loves looking out for the signs of stage magic behind the actual action.
