Quidditch Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw - Spring 2023

Quinn was beyond proud and although he was no longer the captain he was happy with the two that replaced him. Howard was a fantastic fit and so was the new co-captain but for now it was fame face time. Quinn had a goofy grin on his face as he took to the field.

The massive part giant definitely stuck lut being well over 11 feet tall with the broom to match. He roared with excitement ready to have some good fun and put on a good show.

Broom Skill 1: Beater, if you hit an opponent with a bludger the bludger will then ricochet off that user and target a second opponent of choice (must be declared, if not declared the target will be random and can be an ally but not yourself).
Broom Skill 2: Beater, if you critically hit with a bludger, instead of doing double-damage you do 2.5x damage. If you critically fail with your bludger attempt to hit, rather than having your bludger randomly target another user (including yourself or an ally) the bludger cannot target you on a critical fail (but it can still target your allies). On a re-target, there is a random roll for target and then a fresh accuracy roll.

CHASERS & KEEPERS

The two keepers stood tall and proud on their respective hoops, prepared to block any goal that dared come their way. But alas, the game went on and on with not a single score to be seen! Charlie's sharp eyes scanned the game, eager to spot any signs of an opponent trying to sneak a goal, while Atlas stood tall and steady, ready to make a big save. But none came. 

The only action to be seen was the seekers searching for the snitch and the beaters battling for possession, sending bludgers flying left and right. The keepers are waiting for... nothing.

"Look out! Here comes the bludger! Now that's what I call a hit!" The speaker exclaimed excitedly as the bludger soared through the air and collided with Clark. Despite the impact, Clark managed to stay on his broom, to the cheers of the crowd. But they weren't out of the woods yet; the Bludger then bounced off Clark and struck Rita, sending her falling from her broom. The impact was so powerful that her broom was destroyed beyond repair. Luckily, Clark was there to catch her, saving her from certain doom. "Wow! That's some serious bravery from Clark. " 

Howard charged in like a whirlwind and smacked Damion off his broom! But wait, Winnie swooped in to rescue him! "Howard! On penalty lap!" the speaker called.

But the action on the pitch didn't stop there. Cecily launched a daring attempt to hit Ethen, but he dodged her like lightning. The speaker saw the whole thing and called it out. "I saw that, Cecily! You're on a penalty lap, too!"

Meanwhile, Quinn sends a bludger flying towards Cecily, knocking her off her broom. With no one to save her, she was down for the count! The bludger ricochets and hits Jorah, but he manages to stay on his broom! "Oh my! And the bludger rebounds on Jorah, but he stays on his broom like a champ! "

Damion, who's falling off his broom, manages to send a bludger towards Alma and knock her off her broom. "The bludger hit Alma right off her broom, and she's knocked out cold!"

Finally, in a last-ditch effort to keep their team in the game, Lavinia tried to blatch Quinn in a desperate attempt to stop him from taking down their team. But her attempt failed, and she found herself on a penalty lap. "I saw that, Lavinia. Straight onto the penalty lap with you!" The crowd groaned as they watched the game slip away from their grasp

Health and Post Tracker

It was only the first round of this final Quidditch match before one team being selected for the summer game, yet the Quidditch Pitch was immediately heated up by those tough moves produced by the two team. Poor Rita! A few seconds into the game, the black-haired Hufflepuff beater was already knocked off broom by a fierce bludger and what was worse, had her broom being broken. Hopefully, her teammate Clark caught her and prevented her from being knocked down from the game.

"What the hell is going on here? That is how you play Quidditch? By breaking people's broom? Thank God Clark caught me before anything worse could happen! Shame on you, birds!" Rita murmured while giving the Ravenclaw player who caused all that mess a death scare. It was definitely going to be a tough game for the badgers, but the black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff beater just wished the best for her teammates and herself. Winning was definitely the best outcome, but what was most important was not too many people would get hurt from the game.

'You-' His thought process was interuppted, but not to worry, it was nothing but hate for whatever person he was thinking about. He felt himself feel like he was detatched to something- but quickly regained the feeling as he grabbed the handle of the broom tighter, finding that he was hit by a freaking bludger. "YOU BLOODY IDIOT! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING?" He would yell at whoever shot the bludger at him.

Then he would find himself catching another teammate. Odd, not the one he was scouting for, but hey, he caught someone at least. What does he have to do now?

Before the match, an older student, that was also on the Ravenclaw team, came up to Charlie. The boy was at least a fourth year, and maybe even a fifth year. He told her to hold on to her broom and that he had fallen off of his broom during his very first match. Right after he flew away, Charlie’s eyes grew wide. “Wha-” She said, questioning why she chose quidditch and not broom racing. Oh yeah. Broom racing had spells. Quidditch did not.

The first round happened. Charlie waited at her goal, partially wishing the quaffle would just stay away from her. She watched Rita’s broom break right in front of her eyes. Luckily, or unluckily, Clark happened to be right in front of her and caught her. Charlie didn’t want to watch Rita fall to her doom, but the side that was loyal to Ravenclaw, wanted to see it.

In the role of Keeper when you attempt to block your goal, if your opponent somehow has advantage on attempting to score a goal, that is negated (they only have their normal single roll against you).

As expected, there was an immediate pandemonium once the game began. Quidditch was rarely a peaceful or relaxing game to play as just about everyone was looking to toss one another off brooms. Ethen himself often thought it would be fun to dive into the action and battle but he knew that it probably wouldn't be great for his team if he abandoned his job mid-game.

So perched up with a good view of the pitch, Ethen's eyes scanned the field for any indication of the snitch. For once, Ethen's eyes were quick to find their prize. A smile spread over his lips as they grabbed onto the subtle flash and motion of the small golden ball. But having seen the snitch, he knew that the fun was only just beginning.
