Once Kim had finished his introduction and told them a bit about what he envisioned for the club, AngelFyre began to feel some of her dread leave her. It actually sounded like it was going to be quite fun, and she especially liked that there would be a "drama game" before the meeting broke up for the day. She racked her brain trying to think what kind of drama game might be in store for all of them, and all she could think of was something a little like charades in that they might be given a situation and had to act it out... either individually or in pairs... but with the ability to speak. If it was something else, even better!

Looking around the room and seeing no one jumping at the bit to start the introductions off, AngelFyre stood and cleared her throat. Just as she did so, the door creaked and another girl she did not know entered the room. Like everyone else in the room whom AngelFyre did not know, with the exceptions of Rita and Kim, the girl looked familiar, but AngelFyre had no clue who she was. The girl quickly grabbed an apple and then greeted Kim and Puffie. AngelFyre smiled at the girl and waited a few moments to see if she was perhaps going to introduce herself, in which case AngelFyre would happily wait, but it looked like the greeting to Puffie was where she had decided to call it quits for the moment.

She redirected her attention to the group as a whole, smiling to herself, as she so clearly heard her father's words in her head.'Nature abhors a vacuum.' So did she, apparently, so she began to speak. "Hello, everyone. I am AngelFyre McCubbin, but you can all call me AF. I am a second year Hufflepuff, and like Kim, I am a duelist as well. I have no drama experience," and she furrowed her brow as she debated whether that last statement needed some clarification or not. "Actually, that is not entirely true. Not to brag or anything, but I did get rave reviews as fairy #3 in a middle school production of Midsummer Night's Dream a couple of years ago. Only kids in years 7 or higher were allowed to audition for the juicier parts in the school productions, so we younger kids were often tapped to fill in as crowds or bit parts," and her smile widened as she continued. "I just remember being fascinated by everything that went on in putting the production together, even to the point of memorizing not just my lines, of which there were exactly none," and she laughed good-naturedly, "but memorizing everyone else's as well. I am a huge movie buff and a live theatre buff as well, so I look forward to seeing what we will be doing here and to stepping out of my comfort zone and growing. I also very much look forward to meeting and getting to know all of you as well," and at that she looked over and nodded at Kim before taking her seat once again.

Rebecca listened to Kim's introduction as he scanned the new faces around the room. Nothing of what he'd mentioned was particularly new information to Rebecca, but he was definitely interested in getting to know who else had shown up to the meeting.

Most of them were strangers, but he caught one of the girls giving him a second glance as she passed him by. For his part, Rebecca caught her eye and flashed a charming grin her way. He was almost certain they'd never spoken, but she'd looked as if she knew of him somehow. It was nice to have some kind of reputation proceeding him, he figured. Hopefully, it was a positive one.

One of the second-years cleared her throat, and Rebecca gave her introduction his full attention, putting the half-eaten apple in his book bag for safekeeping. It was nice to know that another club-member didn't have much experience either; Rebecca was pleased to not be the odd man out. Besides, AngelFyre seemed sweet. Rebecca could already tell that she was the type to smile easily, and her laughter rang out brightly, giving an impression of uncomplicated kindness.

Seeing as nobody else chimed in after McCubbin sat down, Rebecca siezed the opportunity to speak next. "Hi, all," He grinned, and adjusted his posture to lean forward in his chair. "I'm a first year, my name's Rebecca Loops and I'm in Slytherin. I've never tried anything on a stage before, to be honest. But I'm a fan of plays, in general. Like Shakespeare, y'know," Rebecca cocked his head in a nonchalant manner, "but not so much the comedies. I'm more of a tragedy sort of person, I suppose."

Rebecca's smile took on a wry edge, but he just shrugged. "Even if we aren't doing anything official before the end of term, I'm still looking forward to getting to know the rest of you. Thanks, Kim, for setting all this up!"

He sent the older boy another grin and a thumbs-up.

Seven Speaking

─────Drama kids were extroverts, right? Probably. They had to sing in front of hundreds of people. Seven shuddered they were most certainly not doing that. However, the point was that if they wanted to be a drama kid, they had to start acting like one. Which meant they had to introduce themself next.

AngelFyre McCubbin had stood as she talked while Rebecca Loops had continued to sit. In the end, Seven decided to follow AngelFyre's lead.

They stood up and waited a moment for everyone to notice them. "Um, hi." All of a sudden, the room seemed very large and quiet. "My name's Seven Finney. This is my first year at Hogwarts and I'm in Ravenclaw."

Seven glanced down and, almost instinctively, adjusted their book so it was in the center of their desk. They had probably been sorted into Ravenclaw for two reasons. Firstly, they loved reading, and secondly, they could be a slight perfectionist.

"I've never been part of a drama club or anything like one. There was this high school near my house that put on a few plays every year and my family went to those, but that's about it."

Seven sat back down and tried to figure out if their social life was ruined.

At first, Alyssea thought she was lost, but when she found a classroom with people talking about theatre stuff, she knew she was in the right place. She closed the door behind her and settled on a chair, trying her best not to make her entrance too attention-demanding. The first thing she didn't want a bunch of theatre kids to think was that she was obnoxious (she wasn't, but she didn't know what kind of theatre kids she would be encountering).

Soon enough, the meeting started and introductions began. As she listened around the circle, she made a note of what to say. Name, year, house. Maybe talk about her personal musical theatre experience. Would that be too pretentious?

... Nah.

Alyssea chose to stand for her introduction since she was on the shorter side as a second year. Talk about not having a growth spurt yet. She cleared her throat and nodded her head slightly. "Hey everyone," she began, "I'm Alyssea. I, uh, I'm a second year in Hufflepuff!"

She smiled. "I used to do a lot of musical theatre before I came to Hogwarts. In my local theatre, I did a show called The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee! It was a fun comedy show. I wasn't a lead role, but ensemble was still really fun."

Was she smiling too much? Alyssea cleared her throat again. "I look forward to working with all of you."

She sat back down and took in a deep breath. While this new circle of theatre kids was different and the venue for their performances hadn't been yet established, she was excited. Imagine all the things they could do with magic! Everything you couldn't do in a Muggle show, you could do with magic.

Their prospects were looking interesting indeed.

Madi listened to everyone introduce themselves. She didn't know most of them, a lot were older than her, and most weren't in her House. She was glad she would be getting to know new people, she had always wanted to but never had a good opportunity to.

She was really hoping there were kids in here who only had experience in Muggle theatre, like her, She didn't want to be behind everyone else.

She snapped out of her head and watched a Hufflepuff girl Madi didn't know, whose name turned out to be Alyssea, introduce herself. And then it was Madi's turn.

"Hi, everybody," she smiled, "My name's Madi, this is my second year and I'm a Ravenclaw." That sounded good, right? "I really love acting, there used to be a theatre near where I lived, and they used to put on plays, I was in a few of those, and I liked them a lot." The plays were put on by adults and all of the roles went to adults, so all the kids were in the ensemble, but it was still fun and she made a bunch of close friends during that time.
"I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!" Madi beamed. She hoped that introduction sounded alright.

She was excited for whatever would happen, and she was already glad she had found out about this club.

This was it. Acting. Hannah had recently discovered she was actually really good at it. Thus, she decided to join a club, not any club, a drama club. This was perfect for her.

She heard everyone introduce themselves paying not much attention. Then it was her turn. "Uh- oh. My name is Hannah. I'm a first year. I recently just found out about acting, and I've really enjoyed it!" she said. Great! Mess up everything! she thought. "It's really fun, and even though I just found out about it, I've been practicing a lot."Then she grinned. That part was true, she didn't tell them the part that she thought she was really good, because they'd probably think she wanted attention, she didn't. "I think this is going to be really fun, and I'm hoping to get to know everyone."

Hannah didn't really know most of the people here, she saw some familiar faces, that she sometimes saw in the halls, but not any actual "friends". The girl hoped the introduction sounded okay, and she was quite happy to be here.

The girl remembered once going to a play, in France, when she was nine years old. Hannah barely remembered it, but it was about a tragedy, about the Prince of Denmark. It was really long, and Hannah was 'forced' to watch it. Her parents really wanted her to watch it so she did, in some parts, she almost feel asleep, but that was the only play she went to. She remembered it was full of magic, since the actors were all wizards and witches. She smiled thinking of that, then she snapped back to reality.

She observed the classroom, yesterday, when she received the letter, she thought it was a joke, since it was April Fool's day, but then she remembered she had signed up for this club.

A sharp clap startled Nora from the haze of her reading. She had just gotten to the best part, but with her lack of sleep on a regular basis, combined with the warmth of her sweater, she was still rather drowsy. Doggy-earring the page of her book, Nora turned her attention to Kim.

"Welcome to the Drama Club! I'm your leader, Kim Aoki. I used to be the co-leader but the former leader decided to transfer ownership over to me. So there you go. The Drama Club as you can probably guess is all about acting and drama." He told them. "We will do short random skits, play drama games, do improv and once a year will hold a yearly skit performance too."

Skit performance? This late in the year? He better have been kidding. Sure, Nora had had her fair share of tight schedules, but that was usually with the same fully competent cast and insanely-motivated-coffee-high director that she'd been working with for years. They knew each other's strengths, motivations, flaws. They trusted each other, and just thinking about the group made Nora smile. She could probably rant for hours on end about Kevin's stunts, Miranda's voices, Colin's humor, Kayla's pep talks. But these kids? Nora knew none of them. For all she knew, she could be terrible actors and even worse people. God, she hoped not. There was nothing worse than signing up for a group and then being immediately disappointed.

"Since it's almost the end of the year, we won't be doing our yearly skit performance this year. Oh thank god. She was worried there for a second. "But we'll do all the other things. Regardless, I'm sure we'll all have lots of fun! If you ever have any questions, feel free to ask them! For now, let's go around and introduce ourselves and give basic information and any other information you feel like you want to share! When we're done, we'll play a quick drama game and then end the meeting."

A bunch of people introduced themselves, but only a few stuck out in Nora's mind. Kim went first, followed by AngelFyre (what a great name!), Fruitloops boy, another kid, another kid, Madi something and another kid. At one time, some girl burst in, but Nora wasn't really paying attention. She was trying too hard to remember everyone's names. Usually, she just made nicknames for people, ones that were similar to their real ones. She'd remember the nicknames easier, so when it was time to say a name, the nickname would remind her of it. After a while, of course, Nora would actually learn the name, but it wasn't easy. And sometimes, someone would have a really cool name, so she wouldn't even need to create a nickname. But that was rare.

Finally, it was Nora's turn.

"Hello, everyone," she started, standing so they could see her. "My name is Nora De Carie. I'm a first year, in Slytherin." Okay, she was done with the basics. "I've been acting for a long time, maybe ever since I was five or six. Currently, I belong to an acting group in Queenstown, England called the GlassFlower. I've been many productions, ranging from small plays like The Tell-Tale Heart and The Little Prince to larger shows such as Annie and The Lion King." Pausing nervously, Nora realized she should probably say something to indicate she was done speaking.

"T-thank you," she stammered finally.

Estelle was running late. She had forgotten to do her homework the previous night, leading to a ridiculous session of speed homework. Her teacher definitely wouldn't give her an O, but at least she'd have something to hand in.

Es grabbed her bag. It was full to the brim with books and she wasn't sure that it was worthwhile to bring it, but she didn't have time to put it in her dorm. She studied in the library, surrounded by books and helpful information.

She knew that it was important to be on time, especially to make a good impression on her fellow club members who she was excited to meet, but there wasn't much she could do about that now

She pulled her slipping bag back onto her shoulder as she ran towards the classroom. Her books were pulling on the seams of her slightly broken bag and she was worried that it would split open.

Es turned the corner into the classroom and tripped over the edge of her robe, falling flat on her face. Her books went flying, skidding across the floor near the others feet.

Estelle stood up, dusting off her robes. She had gotten used to falling over, her off balance bad luck causing her to trip at all the wrong moments. Still, she always back up again.

Es collected her books and grinned nervously.

"Well... You can't say that wasn't dramatic... I think I'm probably in the right place."
