Isabel had fully given up on the offensive, being mean had never been something she was very good at. Neither was coming up with clever or snide comebacks. Instead she'd decided Lucian was going to be her own little "kill 'em with kindness-project". Fine by her if he'd decided he was better than her because of his blood, she was going to show him how much more composed she was, that she was nicer, made more friends, had better relationships with the professors and would get much better grades than he ever would. That'd teach him about how much better purebloods were. On top of that she was going to be so incredibly friendly that he wouldn't get the opportunity to offend her without looking like an absolute prick.

"What about you? Was your best friend the pig in the farm you grew up in?" Ignoring that remark, she smiled ever so slightly at Amaris' response, turning her head to peak a quick look towards her friends at the Gryffindor table sending some confused glances in Isabel's direction. "And my leg is fine, thank you. My ankle was healed before the detention," Isabel smiled at Lucian. "Good, good. I'm glad to hear. What about Raizel?" she asked as if they'd been casual acquaintances for years. Merlin did she want to go back to the table to finish her roast, which was getting colder every minute.

She noticed that Amaris at her side seemed to be getting agitated. 'Don't you think you deserve an apology from Lucian?' the dark haired girl next to her asked her, glaring at her. 'Don't you want to stand up for yourself? Don't you want justice in this world? A simple detention won't have it over with, Isabel,' she continued. Isabel thought it over, her light brown eyes glancing around as she considered what'd been said to her. "I guess an apology would be nice, yes, but as he's offended me multiple times since, I'm not sure Lucian's feeling all too sorry.
she answered almost matter of factly, an apologetic smile on her face. She hadn't meant to offend the girl with her unwillingness to confront the haughty Slytherin. Now that she's had multiple run-ins with Lucian, she knew he was too proud to apologise, especially when he feels he's done nothing wrong. "Besides, I'm not so sure this is the most effective way to get justice in this world." she added a tad snobbishly. She understood why Amaris was getting upset, but honestly what did that have to do with her? Isabel hadn't asked anyone to stand up for her, in fact, she didn't even know the girl.

"If you were too poor to know. You know… living off bread." As she was mentally lamenting on the bad luck that kept her getting into altercations, Amaris had thrown a pastry straight at Lucian. Isabel's jaw dropped in shock as she looked around to see who saw. The students closest to Lucian also seemed shocked, Amaris had seemed upset to Isabel, but not that upset. 'That's all I've got to say,' the other Gryffindor said before turning back towards the Gryffindor table. 'And you're most certainly not my boyfriend.' was added onto it.
Pursing her lips Isabel dipped her head to Lucian and turned to sit next to Amaris.

"Would you mind explaining what that was about?" she asked with a raised eyebrow, but not unkindly.

I nodded, "Yep. I’ve repeatedly tried to get back to my meal," I pointed out, scoffing at the audacity of this Gryffindor.

She seemed to have an internal conversation with herself before laughing and calling me a pig. I stared at her like she was an idiot, "I will have you know that I come from an esteemed pureblood family. My grandfather is Adrian Wesley, for starters. I will have you know that the only one fraternising with lowly farm animals is you two," I informed her firmly, a glare etched into my features. Cow. She was being annoying and ruining my day!

Isobel started speaking then, it occurred to me I was actually having a conversation with the mudblood. I looked at her, my face controlled and looking down at her slightly. "Raizel is fine. There wasn’t that much damage bestowed upon her," I said in a neutral manner.

The girl turned to Isobel and started to rant about justice and how a merely detention would not be sufficient enough. I let out a bored huff as Amaris seemed to turn rabid on her. "Gee. If anyone saw this they would have thought I hurt you!" I commented with a head shake. "I’ve, like, never even met you before today! And how glad I am at this fact!" Isobel then spoke about how I wasn’t feeling very sorry. I laughed at that comment.

"Correct. I won’t be apologising," I said to her, what was there to apologise for? It wasn’t like their entire interaction in the classroom was bad? She was the one being a stuck up!

When she finally calmed down, Amaris took some food off of her plate. Before I knew it, it landed in my face and then fell. I sat there, shocked. What the hell…

"Thank God you’re not my girlfriend!" I snapped in a huff, "I don’t want to be seen around with you on my arm! Piece of garbage," I looked at the high table and also my own for any signs of prefects. She just threw food in my face. Where was the Ferret? He seemed to clean up the last food fight swiftly. Well, I wasn’t stopping to her level! I picked the pastry up from the floor and stood, dropping it on her plate. "Low life," I growled at her. It seemed Isobel was also shocked and she asked why. "That would be amazing to know," I sneered. "I’ve half a mind to call for a prefect. I am feeling rather harassed right now!"
