DADA Questions on Lessons
1. Do we have to be anonymous even mentioning our own name? As in: Ember Jones attempted [name of spell] and similar?
2. If yes, what happens if we choose a fake name that's exactly like or very similar to a char name on Hio, but we are not aware of it?
3. Do we only write RPs when the assignment says so or can we answer other questions in RPs too?
Thanks!

Don't you dare mess with me!

Hello Mr, Jones.

1. Yes, the anonymity is centered around your whole character, this includes your name as well as your House and year. That applies to your complete homework.

2. If I recognize the name of an existing student in your fake name and have reasonable doubt that it could be that person, you will have it sent back. If I have to assume that you did it intentionally to confuse me, marks will be taken off. You cannot know every name of every present and former student and professor, but you can use the Adress Book to make sure that the false name you have chosen doesn't match anyone currently registered. So I advise you to check your alias before sending in the homework.

3. You can write the answer to a non-RP question in character (IC), if that is your question. What you cannot do is write how your character goes to the library, searches through books to find the answer to, for example the question how the X-Scale works, and writes down the answers. That would go beyond the scope of the homework.

I hope this answers your questions, otherwise please ask again.

For the purposes of the RPG question in lesson one, is it possible for the encounter with the imp to take place within some sort of class related task?

Hello Ms. Barber,
of course you can encounter an imp in a classroom setting. The only thing I have to ask of you is that if you role-play a lesson, to not RP my own person beyond a reasonable limit. Otherwise feel free to write whatever comes to your mind, the more creative the better

Professor Pedrast? Paul Hicks 1st Year Hufflepuff.  In creative writing and rp'ing I have a habit of interacting with the lesson and using the Professor as someone to talk to, some say it is God'moding, do you perfer not to be interacting with, or is it OK to for me to talk to you in my RP?

Mr. Hicks,

Godmoding is not allowed on Hogwarts.io unless you have the explicit permission to do so by the player of the character you are godmoding. If you want us (our characters) to meet and talk, you can send me a enquiry for a role-play. Otherwise you are not permitted to use my person beyond the bare minimum of interaction that is needed to role-play a classroom setting, i.e. saying that I am supervising a class, or indirectly mentioning that I am interacting with students.

DADA Questions on Lessons
Excuse me, Professor. Regina Miller, 1st year Gryffindor. I have a question or two about the homework you gave us regarding the first lesson. Firstly, when you say each answers must be at least 50 words, is minimum of 5 lines acceptable to your standards? And secondly, about the RPG question, do you mean writing a completely fictional setting where a wizard/witch encounters the Imp regardless of environment, even possibly in a different time setting?

Hello Ms. Miller,

50 words means 50 words. If I had wanted 5 lines, I would have said so. You are of course allowed to write less than those 50 words, but be aware that you will lose points for missing words.

As for the role-play (and all my role-plays in general) you can write any setting that is to your liking. You can write about any student from any any year in Hogwarts, about a grown-up wizard, an Auror perhaps, or even about characters from the original Harry Potter books. As long as it remains within book-canon you are free to write whatever you want to. (Some of my other RPs specifiy "you" or "your student", in which case I expect a role-play from that perspective however.)

DADA Questions on Lessons
Hello Professor
I just have a question regarding the homework for the 3rd lesson. There is a question I'm not sure I quite understand. The question says, "Name two ways Flipendo can be rebound in a duel and explain which one of them you would rather use and why. /4". So I don't really know what is meant with which one I would rather use...?
