Danielle and William were shopping in Diagon Alley for supplies for the upcoming year at Hogwarts, which was exciting for Danielle. It was finally her time to learn spells and potions and all about whatever there was to learn at Hogwarts. Both William and Hunter had told her interesting stories about their times at the school, and she couldn't wait.
After buying her wand from Ollivander's (29,5 cm cherry wood and thestral tail hair), she had twirled it around excitedly in her hand, feeling the weight of the wood comfortably rest on her fingers.
"Teach me a spell," she had demanded Hunter, her oldest brother, who was a second year. "I want to try casting."
"Buy your own book," he had responded, too busy inspecting the newest broom model from the window of a shop, which earned an eyeroll from Danielle.
"Will, teach me a spell," she had tried again.
"Later, Dani," he said. "Besides, we're not allowed to cast spells outside of Hogwarts. Or the Ministry will come after us."
"Yeah... sure." Danielle was deeply skeptical and raised an eyebrow to him. People often told her her emotions were always clearly written on her face, which was true.
Looking around for her mother, she decided Hunter was right. She'd buy her own book to learn from. Maybe she'd buy the whole store and learn every spell before her peers. And then she realized she wouldn't ever possibly have enough galleons for that.
"Eomma, mom can I have ten galleons? I'm going to the bookstore to buy my textbooks." Danielle asked when she had spotted her mom. When she agreed, Danielle gleefully took the coins and darted to Flourish and Blotts.
The bookstore smelled of.. books. Which wasn't surprising. Volumes upon volumes lined the shelves, and whatever the shelves couldn't hold were stacked on small tables around the store. After collecting whatever books she actually needed for class, she wandered around the store, scanning the spines for titles that interested her, as she still had some money left over.
Remembering what Hunter had said, Danielle yanked a copy of The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection, Year Two off the shelves, and briefly wondered if she should just buy the whole set of seven books. It was cheaper that way was well, and after a quick calculation, she decided to follow through with her plan.
"Why do you have so many?" her mom had demanded after Danielle had showed up at the restraunt they had decided to eat lunch at with an armful of novels.
"Call me a collector," she said simply. "And blame that guy. All his idea." She pointed to Hunter.

Fast forward to Danielle's first year at Hogwarts, and she had some extra time, undisturbed in her dorm. She dug out her copy of The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection, Year Two, her wand, and started reading. She found that it was very intruiguing and interesting to be learning these spells, and from that moment on, she promised herself she would try to find time to practice her new spells every week. Slowly, she worked through the textbook, learning every spell that it contained, the feeling of success and pride at her back whenever she mastered one.

Since Josephine was still quite young, she has always enjoyed the feeling she obtains after breaking the rules previously set for her. Not only does doing so make her feel proud of her witty approach, but also gave her a sense of achievement because it seems as if she could finally shake lose of others’ values & expectations and take control of her own life.

Usually, she only uses foulplay on unimportant matters and occasions, so trivial that it can barely even be called cheating. For example, when she’s assigned to copy a text, she often skips ask some parts in the middle and only makes sure that the beginning and ending are written correctly and completely, as she’s almost certain that no one would ever pay close attention to every single sentence. Another common practice that she loves to apply in her daily life is that when it’s her turn to do chores outdoors in the summer heat, she sometimes pretends that she’s got a stomachache so that her parents would allow her to stay indoors and read whatever book she would like to scan through. However, unlike many others, she used to extremely despise the act of cheating during an exam or other types of competitions as she believes that it’s only fair to gain success when you’ve actually put effort into it.

It was only until one day when she was 10, did she realize that foulplay isn’t always a terrible thing. Because her father was muggle-born, he decided to let Josephine have access to the muggle world and their technology as he believes that those knowledge could also be helpful to her future life at Hogwarts (e.g. Muggle Studies). Therefore, before Josephine attended Hogwarts, she went to school at an ordinary muggle school with her neighbors. Once, her school was raising money for an animal conservation project, and Josephine wanted to be a part of it and do whatever she is capable of to help. Fortunately, there was going to be a 3-kilometer race in her neighborhood, in which the winner would get a huge amount of money as a reward.

Josephine has never been a huge fan of running, but she decided it worth to run a few miles for a good deed. Only after the race started, did she find out that she’s in fact a fine runner, since she managed to maintain the second place throughout the whole event. Nevertheless, there was no prize for the second place, only the first, so if she couldn’t surpass the first place runner, she would achieve nothing. On the other hand, the contestant in front of her came from a rich and selfish family, and she’s certain that they’re just going to save the money up for themselves. As she almost reached the finish line, she was overcomed with frustration, leading to she suddenly throwing a plastic bag at the feet of the first person, causing him to slip and fall down. Those few precious seconds that she had won for herself allowed het to outrun him and eventually finished as the first place.

When Josephine found out that she alone contributed to almost half of the overall founding that her school had gathered, she felt an exhilaration like never before. It was at that moment did she realize that cheating doesn’t necessarily has to be despicable, it’s the intention that confines whether it’s good or bad.

From then on, no matter how easier foulplaying could possibly make thing for her, she would never cheat if it’s not for a grander purpose than purely to satisfy her desires. Also, she won’t hesitate to use a so-called inappropriate or unjust way either when it serves a greater purpose.

(WC: 432/400)
Sunny's lifelong desire to become a successful clown is starting to change her behaviour and even her appearance. The aura she exudes is different, eccentric, and seems to catch the attention of many around her. From her exaggerated facial expressions to the red ball nose she keeps in her pocket and randomly puts on her face, she has many quirks to make gazes turn her way.

Being the center of attention has been the meaning of life for Sunny, and she believed it was her duty to spread happiness to others as a way to pay back for the attention she has received. She has practiced jokes and stunts so much that they are starting to mix into her everyday behaviour. Even without the make-up and costume, the charm of her harlequinade persists to present itself.

It only made her more eye-catching to be born with a face gleaming with youthful beauty and innocence. Doe eyes that glance around with curiosity, her fair, smooth skin covered with freckles and little button nose. All is complimented with the act of clumsiness she plays, just to create situations to showcase her acrobatic skills. It presents a real challenge to deprive the young girl of her smile and laughter, both of which do not lose their warmth and sweetness for the amount of times she laughs and smiles in a day. Whenever she comes into the presence of someone who seems to be feeling down, Sunny accepts it as a challenge to cheer them up, no matter if she knows that person or not. It would be fair to say that in that sense, she is a little bundle of sunshine, appropriate for her name.

Her favourite thing to do during her earlier childhood was to sit in the front row of the circus and watch performances all the time. Through the time before and after every show, she loved to mingle with the other children in the audience. This allowed her to make observations about what kind of attitude most people tend to like and how to leave a good impression on them. Due to the fact that they traveled so often, she was never able to have long lasting friendships, but it was important for her to be able to make people enjoy her company in the limited time they could have together.

Whether if it is her pretty smile or peculiar attitude, Sunny's presence tends to be distracting in most cases. Once someone sets their eyes on her, they tend to look forward to what this funny little girl has coming next.

There has always been something different about Lancelot Pemberton. He reacts stronger to external impressions like sounds and lights and people – but he also is quicker to notice things before anyone else does. Small annoyances like low sounds are more likely to annoy him when everyone else simply ignore it without even realizing it. It’s not anything he’s learned, but rather something that has always been ever since he was little. No one has understood when he’s complained about the electricity buzzing or the feeling of people watching him when he’s supposed to do something, enough to make him unable to perform the task as asked, or when things have been moved from their designated spot to somewhere else. At other times it is helpful, like when he’s helped his parents notice their phone were ringing because only Lance noticed the vibrations. While they don’t understand how he notices so much and how it bothers him, he doesn’t understand how they don’t notice anything when it’s so hard not to notice.

When coming into a new situation, Lance never knows what to do and ends up studying the space and the people first for a time before making a move, to make sure he has all the pieces and to figure out where in it he might fit in. He notices the details of the situations and places and can often easily remember how a place used to look and therefore notice what has been changed. That often happens at home, and since Lance doesn’t like sudden change, it bothers him until it’s fixed. His first instance of magic was triggered by an unexpected change like that. Lance notices patterns around him quickly and enjoys finding patterns, which also means he notices disruption and changes in the patterns. That means that he’s good at spotting things where they shouldn’t be, sticking out from the pattern. If something seems wrong, he struggles wit letting it go until he knows what is wrong – and preferably solve it too. Lance can also enjoy the small thing he notices, like hearing whose footsteps are coming closer, or watching the ants in the grass or trying to figure out where certain interruptions are coming from. It means he’s rarely surprised by who’s coming because he can hear them before they enter the room – although he at Hogwarts now only notices someone is coming, not who, yet.

A young metamorphmagus growing up in upper-class society, attending fancy parties and galas for as long as they could remember, chatting with socialites, and playing the role of a wealthy heir to a large fortune. Needless to say, Qrowley Beithir had learned very quickly how to charm people. From diffusing arguments between their many cousins to sweet-talking the pure-bloodist adults at their fathers' many parties with a sweet smile on their face, Qrow found it easy to hide behind their apparent charm.
That is to say, the child had always been charming; however, after the death of their mother, Niamh Beithir, something inherently changed. Something that had used to be a mask to hide behind was now suddenly very real, and Qrow found themselves living by the ideology of "keep your friends close but your enemies closer."
If a stranger told you that your yellow dress was hideous, you’d tell them to get lost; however, if a beloved friend told you that yellow was certainly not your colour, you would be more likely to listen and get rid of the dress.
This was the reason Qrow was so friendly.
A true ambitious Slytherin—that's what their grandmother would call them—lying and creating connections in order to climb their way to the top of wherever they wish to be. It allowed people to underestimate them; idiots would mistake the child's kindness for weakness, but Qrow saw it for what it was: a strength, something that allowed them to fly under the radar; after all, it’s much more difficult to strike a friendly face than an enemy.
Furthermore, the child was fairly pretty; they knew it too.
A metamorphmagus; somebody who could change their appearance at will, and despite that wonderful ability, Qrow was not somebody to try and fit in with whatever the beauty standards of society were—they hated the idea of being put in some stupid little box—still, there was something that was, overall, rather appealing about them.
They often wore their natural appearance: a soft, defined jawline, porcelain skin mottled with dozens and dozens of freckles, acidic green eyes, and ginger hair that often hung in messy ringlets down their back. A dazzling smile graced their face more often than not nowadays, and, to many, it looked real.
Even after the summer between their first and second years, when they had grown two inches and opted for a more alternative appearance in contrast to their usual academic look, they were still oddly charming.
For years, the child thought nothing of this apparent ability—in fact, they barely noticed it—but after the events of the summer, Qrow was ready to put their silver tongue to the test.

Most pureblood wizards meet their future matches young, some even before starting at Hogwarts. That was not the case for Eduardo Flores. The debt that was slowly accruing in their Gringotts account did not inspire many proposed betrothals from the materialistic culture of the high wizarding class, much to the frustration of his parents.

As a preteen, Eduardo did not care in the slightest. He laughed at his friends who had to go on "dates" each month with girls they barely knew and certainly had no romantic interest in. After all, cooties were a major concern and there were two ways to get them. The first one, sticking his arm into a jar of flobberworm mucus was something he had successfully avoided doing for the first 12 years of his life. He wouldn't want to ruin it by having to kiss a girl on the lips now, would he?

Eduardo as a teenager disagreed. Cooties had long since become a relic of the past. He had touched flobberworm mucus several times in potions class and girls were no longer seen as disgusting beings to avoid at all costs. With each year of school, the jealousy inside him grew. Those same kids he had been friends with since they were babies now were engaged and he, Eduardo Flores, had never even kissed a girl aside from his mother. He attempted to ask out a girl by the name of Sabrina Huang in his fourth year for the Yule Ball. Her reaction of disgust left him little confidence to ask anybody else. So, he didn't. For all of the balls in his fifth, sixth, and seventh years, he went only with his other friends who did not have dates.

Life after graduation did not bring him luck. There was Merida, a witch whose desk was next to his at work but, as it turned out, she was already married and had a baby two years after he began working with her. It was improper to continue fancying her after that. It was as if someone had set a curse on his head. Each women who he set his sights on for was either already unavailable or became so soon after he developed feelings.

It happened finally on the night of January 23rd. After years of hoping and waiting, he saw the love of his life on a street corner when running errands in London. She was the most beautiful women he had ever seen, a dream come true in his mind.

She was so perfect that she had no issues. It was odd. Everyone had some kind of issue. Eduardo was not so young at that point; he knew that to be true. Still, Emilia was lovely in every measure. No matter how hard he looked, he could not find a single red flag.

Turning into an angry bird creature during their rehearsal dinner was not on the list of red flags Eduardo was expecting. However, that was the problem. His fiancee had transformed (quite literally) into a bridezilla, complete with a beak and scaly wings. It was in front of his old-fashioned, pureblooded parents too. His mother was screaming in horror as a fireball was launched at the offending chef, who had prepared another couple's menu instead of the one which she had picked out.

That was the day on which he learned that his wife was not flawless, but a normal individual (not human.) It wasn't a big deal in his mind. He often ate sandwiches with only lettuce inside. She could grow wings when angry. They were both unique in their own ways. His parents accepted the marriage reluctantly because they knew they could not find someone better. On December 4th of 2011, Emilia and Eduardo were wed; the birth of their first daughter coming under a year later.

The girls learned about their Veela heritage from a young age. In their household, it was considered free to talk about. However, on their mothers' orders, they were not to speak of it to outsiders under any circumstances.

When Estelle was little, she was always fascinated by the plants that poked through the fence at the edge of her school playground. She knew better than to eat them, but loved to look at the patterns of the leaves and the colourful flowers and berries.

When she got a little older, this translated into a love of plants and potions. She used to pick little flower petals and leaves from her parents' flowerbeds and mix them with shampoo and food dyes, making herself colourful potions that she could play with.

When both her parents were away reporting on news stories, they would leave her at her Grandfather's (on her mother's side) house. Her grandfather was a botanist, specialising in herbs and medicinal plants and he soon realised that Estelle shared his love of plants. He bought Estelle a guide to plants and their uses (only non-magical plants - he is a Muggle) and taught her how to safely store and use plants within natural medicines.

As Estelle lives in Central London, she couldn't grow many plants in her small garden, but the acre or so of land outside her Grandfather's house was more than large enough to grow any plant she desired, and he had greenhouses for warmer plants that were unaccustomed to the cold climate. She grew plants with him and learnt about their medicinal properties and how to care for them properly.

Her father (who is a wizard) soon discovered Estelle's love of plants and took her on trips to see magical plants on her holidays. She learnt how to look after many of them and the uses of them in relation to magical healing and other magical uses. She collected sprigs from some of the plants to take home and grow in her garden.

Before going to Hogwarts, Estelle decided to take some cuttings of the plants from both her and her Grandfather's gardens to use in potions (she obviously didn't tell her Grandfather that - she said she was keeping them in case any of her new school friends got hurt). She put them in small herb bag in her trunk to protect them from the elements. If she sees any plants that could be used, Estelle always takes cuttings of them in order to help those around her. She hopes this knowledge will be useful to her and the creatures she helps if she achieves her dream of being a magiczoologist.

Maksim was a boy that lived under many strict rules. His father raised him and his brother to be nothing but the best wizard they could be. Such a high standard that is nearly unattainable for only a boy of age 13. But he tried his best to live up to such a standard his father set out.

The boy lived a life of nothing but pressure. Pressure to uphold the family name, to follow in his fathers footsteps as a great Quidditch player. Pressure to never fail, or fall behind. To be a beckon of perfect pure-blooded skill. At home Maksim only did school work in front of his father, learning more, testing himself, and proving he knew plenty spells and tricks, potions, and whatnot. Trying to keep from being questioned, or looked down upon. Nothing feared the boy than the disappointing glare from his father. But at school, when teachers were not around, or his father wouldn't know, Maksim would take out his pent up frustrations, and pressure from always having to be the best of the best. He would take the skills and knowledge he built up, and use it for chaos, anything to relieve the never ending stress of "do better". or "Be better".

In his pursuit of making his father proud, and also looking out for his own personal interest of being a beckon of chaos rather than perfection, in the eye of his dad, Maksim had taking on advanced spell casting, just another added power behind what he does. It wasn't really his first choice, but with what seemed like less effort on his part, it was enough to make his father proud. Anything with advanced in the title must be impressive, at least that is what Maksim had thought, and based on his father's reaction, it would seem that being a better caster would be what he should aim for this year, so the boy took on the further training over the summer. Reading books above his age, taking many nights out with his brother to practice, all in order to make his father proud, and give him a little edge to his spells. Within no time, he was seeing some great improvement with his casting. Words were spoken clearer, and his wand movements rarely missed. He had done what he set out to do, obviously, he never doubted himself for a second. Because Maksim was a Levin, and Levin's never quit.

Aida spent countless hours by the edge of the Great Lake, observing the wildlife during daily studies of magizoology. It was only a matter of time until Aida became too curious about the depths of the lake to resist investigating there, too. Wading into the brackish water and submerging completely while looking around, Aida could hear a strange voice-like harmony. With time, the white wix’s fascination only grew, and with time the phonemes of mermish began to sink into Aida’s brain from afar. However, swimming along the perimeter of the Great Lake was not typical student behavior, as it was quite dangerous. Still, Aida didn’t care because it seemed that the underwater voices were calling to the depths of their heart. One day, when Aida sank into the dark waters once more they felt a tugging in their hair and was surprised to meet one of the merfolk that lived in the lake. A tall, beautiful merwoman appeared with long billows of hair tangled with benthic plants and the occasional pleat of colorful shore sedges.

With assistance from the bubblehead charm, Aida began to attempt communicating, first with gestures, and then by trying to mimic the sounds the merwoman was making when apparently describing her name. Spellbound by the mystique of the mermaid, Aida came every day to the lake to practice learning how to communicate with her, met equally with curiosity and concern from the mermaid. With time, Aida’s vocabulary increased to the point that they were able to talk about fish, the giant squid, and basics about other animals in the area. Captivated, Aida began obsessing over the mermaid, her beauty, and what it would be like to live every day as a non-human beneath the surface. Of course, for a student with human responsibilities forever requiring Aida to come back to the confines of the castle, considerable heartache came to accompany the white wix whenever they had to sit through yet another potions lecture. All the claustrophobe wanted anymore was to be outside and learning whatever fragments they could glean from the wisdom of non-humans inhabiting the area’s wildlands, and at last one of them seemed interested in talking with the wix. If only they could swim forever, thought Aida, they might be able to escape the expectations imposed by human society. Perhaps they could even be friends. With the thousand small dramas taking place in the lives of animals and magical creatures outside the classroom, Aida cared less and less for the minutiae of human students’ teenage lives. Out there, in the depths, a greater connection could be made for understanding the problems experienced by the non-humans of the world. The day Aida’s linguistic ability got to the point of being able to ask for permission to fish in the lake, they knew they were on the best possible life path. The basic need to acquire food to live gave Aida and the mermaid common ground, and eventually the Ravenclaw earned enough mutual trust to be introduced to others in the merfolk colony. Learning mermish would prove a major step in Aida’s advancement in the pursuit of their future in magizoology, and with it, a thousand new stories were born into the white wix’s life.

Since childhood while Linda was playing with others, she noticed that her friends were calling her fearless. She didn't pay attention to it. Her friends we're always getting scared of different insects, beasts.

As she was 10 years old, she became more interested in why she's called fearless. One day her friend's father found Boggart and her friend invited her and other friends to her. Everyone could see spider or a person or how they lost someone. How they were chased by werewolves or even bitten by them. Everyone except Linda. When she looked at it, Bogart just stayed with its initial form without changing.

In that day she came home and started to think much about what happened. It couldn't be that she doesn't have any fear, right? Or it can be... But Boggart would show if she was afraid of anything.

Now she remembered all the times from her childhood playing with friends or brother. She wasn't afraid to climb a tree and then jump from it on the ground. She wasn't afraid of spiders, always been the one to get friend away from them as it would be harder for 7 year old child take spider away. Later when she was 9, she realized she's not afraid of loosing friends. They come and go, but the ones who stay, are staying by their choice and can leave whenever they would want.

Was all this making her deserve to be called as fearless? She came to her brother and asked if he knew something about it.

Siralb said fearless is the one who is not afraid of anything. So as long as she didn't fear anything, she could be fearless.

Later when she was 11, in April, she was as usual playing with her friends. One friend offered to go to the park and they all went. In that park there was lake that could be reached by walking one road not much people knew about. They came to the lake and someone one friend went to swim. But none of them knew he recently had an accident that lead him to not be able to move at random times in water. While he was swimming other 4 friends and Linda were preparing place for them to sit and play. Then suddenly they noticed that their friend started to go under water unable to move. It was shocking and scaring for 4 friends, but Linda didn't scare. She was just slightly surprised as she didn't understand why he can't move suddenly. Did someone bite him causing this or is it something else, she didn't know. She quickly went closer to water and swam to him. Coming to him from his front was a big mistake as she started to go under water because of him. But strangely enough she wasn't scared even then. Just changing to reach him from back and dragging to the beach to others. When he was saved and told them everything, they decided to sit without going to swim.

Linda was thinking a lot about his words after that, you must be really fearless or stupid to just go there for rescue without even knowing if it's dangerous or not. She knew she wasn't stupid. So she was fearless.
