I listened as both Linda and Hannah talked. I nodded my head as they spoke but in my head I was zoning out a bit. Now the conversation had kind of ended. There was a pause of silence. Everyone was thinking about what to say next.
I decided to recommend a muggle book for Linda to fill the void of silence. “You should totally read Keeper of the Lost Cities and Percy Jackson! I also love Agatha Christie, she has some great mystery books!!”
There was one good thing about being a half-blood and that was that you got a lot of experience of both worlds; muggle and wizard. This meant that I knew a lot about both worlds, not just one. I loved that. I guessed that Linda probably hadn't read muggle books before because she probably was a pureblood. Is that disrespectful to think? So I stopped thinking about this.
I scanned the library. It was probably almost dark… I wonder what time it is? Yet I still felt the need to talk to Linda and Hannah for longer. I didn’t want to let go of this conversation but yet it was sliding through the grasp of my fingers. There was something I was missing. And then I knew it.
I added, “Wouldn’t it be cool to go to the library together every day?” Yes that was it! I hoped the others would agree because that would make everything so much more fun. Although this time was supposed to be alone time, I wouldn't mind spending it with friends. And maybe just maybe then, I wouldn’t have to let this conversation go…

Reyna finally broke the silence, recommending a few books. Muggle ones. Hannah had only read Muggle books a few times, since her uncle studied Muggles, and sometimes he owled her Muggle books, and she read them. That was nice, and the recommendations seemed like good books.

"What is Percy Jackson about?" she asked, since she was not familiar with this book, and she had never heard of Keeper of The Lost Cities. "I'm not very familiar with muggle books, just Agatha Christie and a few other books." she said.

Reyna seemed to know a lot about Muggle books, maybe she was a Muggle? She probably was a Half-Blood, that seemed right.

Then Reyna had said something “Wouldn’t it be cool to go to the library together every day?”. It would she thought. "Yes! That would be so cool!" she spoke. Hoping that Linda would agree too, Linda seemed like a nice person, and Reyna did too. So, maybe they could come together every day, well not every day, but when they could. Hannah felt as if they knew them for many years, but in fact, they had only met this year.

The library reminded her of Blossom Manor, the small library in her house, that she spent hours in, reading, writing and then her parents called her for dinner, well not her parents. Emily, her maid. Her parents preferred to not have a house elf, instead a maid, she was a Squib, so she got a job with Hannah's family. The library was much smaller than this. The Hogwarts library was gigantic, Hannah had imagined how many books were in there, billions.

Ara heard some chatter in the library and came to see what was if about. She saw a few girls, 1 of them she knew, talking and listened a bit until she heard one of them talk about Percy Jackson. Percy Jackson was one of the first book series-es she got into. Ara even re-reads the whole book series from time to time.

With a deep breath she slowly and quietly went near them. "Percy Jackson is basically about Percy, a demigod who stops a war between the gods and goes on adventures with his friends and stuff" she says monotonously while looking at the girl who asked with her tired, uninterested looking eyes. When in reality she is actually quite interested on what they're talking about. The slytherin girl felt their eyes on her as she raised her hand "Yo" she greeted. She saw a familiar face, Linda Ramirez. "Greetings Linda, nice to meet you again" she turned to the other people "And 2 other people I don't know. I'm Ara, Ara Villa. First year Slytherin. The Library is my second home, surprised if you didn't see me once in here. I go here everyday." Ara's eyes met all of their eyes one by one and she smirked a bit.

I grinned when Hannah and Linda said yes. Yay! This would be really fun! Linda thanked me for the recommendation and Hannah asked what Percy Jackson was about as she probably wasn’t as familiar with it. I knew just how to answer as I had read Percy Jackson at least hundreds of times. I was about to answer and then another girl came and jumped into the conversation.

I grinned. Linda introduced us to Ara. Then she said, "When could we meet and go to the library together?"
“Hey! Nice to meet you Ara!” I said, “I think I’ve seen you around! Maybe we could do this at a similar time as now like on a Saturday or? Do you guys have any suggestions?”
I knew I was going to have a lot of fun with them. Maybe Ara and I could introduce Hannah and Linda to some muggle books! Anyway, I could feel in my heart that this was going to be fun and that we would be great friends. And we all had one thing in common; we loved to read.
It was getting late, almost curfew but the conversation still continued to my pleasure. I was extremely glad of this even though I was tired from a long day.

Reyna was telling Hannah what Percy Jackson was about. It seemed interesting "It seems like a good book! I'd love to read it." she said. Then, a new girl arrived. It seemed as she knew Linda. They had greeted each other, so it was kind of obvious

She introduced herself as Ara Villa, she was a first year, Slytherin. "Hey!" "My name is Hannah Blossom, but you can call me Hannah. I'm a first year, Gryffindor." she told them that the library was like a second home to her. "Nice! I also come here almost every day, and yeah, it's kind of like a second home to me." Linda had already introduced them, but Hannah decided to introduce herself on her own.

"I think Saturday would be nice!" she answered Linda's question, and also agreed with Reyna. She thought that this response was a good one, since the girl was speaking the truth.

Hannah didn't read many Muggle books, but her mother taught her muggle studies, so she knew a little bit of the muggle world. She read mostly books written by wizards and witches, some of them were gifts by the authors, others were bought in stores like Flourish and Blotts.

"So Ara, what's your favorite book?" she asked. That was probably a good start.

Ara thought for a moment until she had her answer, "Probably The Twilight Saga if you're talking about muggle books. Its quite enjoyable in its own way. I have the whole Percy Jackson Series if you want. I can just have my parents send it to me " she said. The Slytherin girl had read a bunch of books in her lifetime. She has read 4/5 of the books in her family's mansion and almost half of the books in the Hogwarts library, not including the restricted sections, Ara would love to go in there if she could though. "How about you guys? What are your favourite books?" She asked the girls as she leaned on a shelf.

"Also, if you guys want some muggle books. I have a bunch at my mansion" Ara offered. The Villa mansion has a big library that actually has 2 floors. The library has a lot of muggle books, about half of the books there are muggle books. Ara just realized that right now she is more talkative than usual. Why is that? She shrugged it off but at the back of her head she was still wondering.

It wasn't long until she started to zone out and have thoughts that are like those 'shower thoughts' or whatever muggles call them. "Nothing's really on fire...more like fire is on things" she proceeded to mumble her thoughts out loud. She quickly snapped back in though, remembering she was in a conversation.

Hannah introduced herself to Ara. She also said that Saturday was a good day to meet. Linda agreed saying,"It sounds like a nice decision to do it the same day, same time. Do you want to meet somewhere specific to go here together?"
I was glad that they both agreed. I wondered if Ara wanted to come and agreed that this time was good.
“Okay great! We can just meet outside the library if that sounds good!”
Then Hannah asked, “So, Ara what’s your favorite book?”
Ara answered, “Probably the Twilight Saga, if you’re talking about muggle books.” I nodded. That was a good series. She also offered to get us some of her muggle books from her mansion's library.
Linda liked the idea and so did I. I didn’t have a huge library in my house but there were a few muggle books. Linda also said her favorite book was something about dragons. “Yeah, that would be great! I don’t have that many muggle books so it would be good to get exposed to some more.” I answered, “And my favorite books are either Percy Jackson or Keeper of the Lost Cities if it's a muggle book and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them if it’s a wizarding book.”
I was getting a lot more tired now as I had been out and about a lot today, exploring Hogwarts. Although I didn’t want this conversation to end, I knew it was getting late and that we would have to go to our dorms once again.
As if Linda was reading my thoughts she said, "It's kinda really late now. It was nice to meet you all here and it will be nice to meet again. I am sorry, but I will go to the room now. I planned to spend some time with my diary before sleeping."
I nodded my head. “I agree. I’m a bit tired and I do think we should get going, it is almost curfew after all… It was nice meeting you all! Should we all meet next Saturday at a similar time?” I said.
I smiled. This was so fun! I can’t wait to do this again. I stifled a yawn. It was almost time to head back to our dorms. This was totally worth it! I would’ve made 2 new friends. And 3 if Ara comes too.

Linda would be going to her room. Hannah thought that that was understandable, it was getting late. Reyna would be going too.

Ara told them that she had lots of Muggle books in her mansion. "Oh sure! I'd love to borrow some of them. I also have a few in my mansion, but I have more wizarding books." her library was much smaller than the Hogwarts library. Her library had two floors, and fit lots of books. It was pretty big.

She wondered if she'd like Percy Jackson. Maybe she could ask Ara if she had it? The girl yawned. It was in fact getting late. "What's the Twilight Saga about?" Hannah hadn't read it, and the title didn't make her want to read it, but maybe Ara would convince her.

Linda also agreed with the day. "Same date, maybe a little earlier? And we cam meet here" the library. Hannah had read lots of books, but she couldn't read all of them. When she first came into the library, the first thing she thought was Merlin's beard! There must be thousands of books in here! and she wasn't exaggerating. There were as many books as many bookworms would read in a lifetime. But, that was the thing about books.. Every book you read is a new life, a new point of view.
