"Let's keep things civil," Julian piped up as soon as he heard the trash talk coming from the red team. There was no need to (metaphorically) kick an opponent when they were down. It wasn't sporting, and Julian believed very strongly that one should aim to be sporting when playing sports. It was, after all, just a game. The rules of polite society still applied.
To make things worse, the Gryffindors's relentless assault on the Slytherins continued. Julian found himself wincing as Regina conjured a small, furious-looking cloud over her opponents. It wasn't long before the first lightning bolt came down, with a boom and a flash, narrowly missing Guinevere, whose own spell--a much less destructive tickling charm--zoomed harmlessly past Asher, a few inches from its target. Julian could sympathise, few things could be more distracting than the looming possibility of being zapped. Under those circumstances, Monica had to be commended for retaining the presence of mind to cast an Extinguishing charm on the blaze that had erupted on her sleeve.
Asher's aim, meanwhile, was unerring. His curse of the bogies struck Guinevere and Julian knew it wouldn't be long before the girl started sniffling and feeling ill, eliciting a small smile from him. He was glad to see one of the rare spells that aimed to disable but not injure.

Her first choice was to stop being on fire, get her focus back on the duel! She managed to do just that, and by the time she was paying attention to things again, some storm cloud was now looming overhead, her partner nearly stuck by lightning, hit with some spell from Asher, and missing their shot completely.... things were surly not in the Snakes favour, but Monica wasn't one to give up so easily. ┏ "Civil?" Regina scoffed in response to the Duelling Captain's warning, lips forming into a sneer. Hufflepuffs were truly irritating creatures with their need for formality. "I have no interest in being civilized with preys."
To emphasise, she lifted her wand and called forth the fearsome Metelojinx. A dark storm cloud shot out and hovered terrifyingly above the Slytherins, rumbling with impending doom. Regina's eyes glinted with malice as the lightning flashed and hit the stage, missing Russetwood but enough to warn their opponents of the threat. She'd love to see them try to circumvent that. This duel wasn't a game, after all, in her eyes. It was a true battle, a true survival of the fittest.
The rebel rolled her eyes when Evans shouted a challenge. She was no stranger to people pretending to be brave in dire situations. Didn't mean she had enough of a heart to acknowledge it.
"You seem to forget even 'kittens' have claws. And these claws shall make you scar. I've always wanted to make reptiles bleed," Regina grinned maniacally.┗ ┛

Asher wanted to send an apologetic look to the Slytherin team but ultimately decided against it as it could be seen badly by his current partner, he had to admit that he thought Regina's taunting was too much. The spell that was sent at him by Guinevere missed him and he manged to hit with a Curse Of The Bogies, at the same time Regina sent a spell that caused quite a violent storm to appear above the Slytherin team, which sent lightning strikes at them, barely missing them both. He had to admit that he was feeling more confident as the duel progressed, it was definitely in their favor, but he has to stay vigilant so that doesn't change. "We aren't going to lose"

Prey? Julian shot Regina an incredulous look. "I don't think that's an apt metaphor," he muttered. The banter carried on as if he'd never spoken and he was forced to give up with a sigh, leaning back to watch as Regina continued her streak of successful casts. The Gryffindor conjured a gust of wind around Monica. A smaller gust split off in the direction of Guinevere, but the Slytherin manged quite an impressive dodge, especially considering she also managed to dodge the Flipendo Asher had sent her way.
Meanwhile, the Slytherins continued their unfortunate streak of having their wands act against their own interests, with Monica's attempt at another Flipendo blowing up in her face. Literally. Julian winced.

┏ Regina completely ignored the Duelling Captain's disapproval and casted a flawless Ventus with a flick of her wrist and a firm shout, drowning out Julian Pitchard's words. She watched, with undisguised malice, as the wind splitted into two and hit Evans. A befitting punishment for trying to challenge Regina earlier. Perhaps now Evans would think twice before uttering another word against her. However, Russetwood was a slippery one - as all Snakes were. It was commendable to be able to dodge a Wind Jinx and a Knockback Jinx...if it weren't for her unsightly face caused by the Curse of Bogies.
Regina concealed her laughter at Evans' failed attempt with a condescending scoff as she lifted her chin with a haughty expression.
"It's not too late to forfeit, you know. A little bit of humiliation is better than being sent to the Hospital Wing unconscious."┗ ┛

- Things were not looking great at all, Monica could feel her breath quicken, her body feeling exhausted, this was a very different duel than her last match. Regina prepped another spell, aiming right at Monica, who was now caught in the whirlwind of it all. Maybe it was that, or maybe Monica just stopped concentrating, but trying to get a hit in herself, she cast out Flipendo, but a flash and all of a sudden she was thrown back, by her own spell. "Bloody Hell!" She called out, fed up with her horrible performance.
Making matters worse, Regina continued her string of trash talking... Monica's eyes rolled, refusing to give her the time of day, simply just collected herself, managing to avoid another lightning strike in the process.| Action |

Arrogance was the downfall of many, which is why Asher tried to be on his gaurd from the very start of the duel, but no matter how much he tells himself it could change in a second, the fact is that they are currently winning this duel.
His spell narrowly missed its target, but that was okay in his eyes, the Slytherin team was thoroughly exhausted while they were in great condition, so as long as he hit the next spell victory would be all but secured for them.
