Pax watched as, one after the other, the lions dropped from the air and began quickly tumbling down towards the ground. Nobody was there to catch them, as the person they had designated to save them had also been sent tumbling. Catching their breath, they hung tight on the broom they were sharing with Matthew.

"Guess we may need to try a different strategy next time."

Matthew nodded back to Pax as they clung to his broom. He felt his courage return to him. Sure, he may be on the losing side for this game, but he was the one of the last ones standing, and with the captain no less. It's one hell of a story, especially for his very first time playing Quidditch. He grips tightly onto his broomstick, and urges it on. He's not about to go out without putting up a fight.

"Hold on tight!" He shouts backward, preparing himself for what was to come.

Geez, just how many players were left in this anyways? It seemed like everytime Winnie looked up someone was falling from the sky. She had to try and remain focused or else she would end up losing the quaffle. More points, they need more points. Whatever would help her team.

PARAGON OF HEALTH: Winnie is boosting Jorah and Edward, giving them an extra 10% of health.

The Gryffindors were falling from the sky one after another. Cecily felt a shred of guilt for the lack of mercy Ravenclaw was showing, but then again... she'd much rather clip her opponents' wings one by one than feel her team on the receiving end. At least this way, they'd all but secured a win. After their history of brutal losses to Gryffindor over the years, Cecily would sleep easy tonight knowing they had it coming.

Mwhahahaha. He finally did it! Jorah watched his bludger take out two opponents then richochet to a third. Elsian's broom was not so lucky. On impact the broom shattered. Jorah's eyes lit up with delight as the splinters rained on the ground below. Jorah would have to comb through the field later and look for a trophy.

There it was! He finally made out the snitch! Tiny, golden, fast. He wanted to zoom towards it and then .. bam. He didn't know where was up and down, left or right. He was hit and fell down his broom. He was spiraling downwards until .. he landed on someones broom. Still quite dizzy, he just mumbled a quick thank you and tried gaining back his orientation.

Gryffindor got a grip all of a sudden apparently, as they scored goal after goal in a valiant effort to get as many points as possible before the inevitable happened.
The Announcer of Imperceptible Identity had attained a newfound respect for Gryffindor. It takes a lot of honor and fortitude to face something like that and continue playing.

"Goals fer Gryffindor! Well done, guvs! Ya played grandly! Keep i' up for us! To the last man!!"

Damion held his hand out to alley the oop. But Edme and Edward just sat there, staring at him.
Well, Edme did. Edward was likely trying to control the broom and get them moving, to no avail.

And, yet somehow, they weren't down. Matthew and Pax were still both standing (well, flying), even after a hit from Jorah. Good for them, they guessed. It had been Pax's first time really dealing with the quaffle (obviously it wasn't really a beater's job after all), but surprisingly enough they had managed to get some goals. For a moment, changing to be a chaser crossed their mind, but they shrugged it off. Beaters were better, and they enjoyed it. At least, when they got a chance to play the role properly.

Damion was pretty excited as the game proceeded further. He was happy that his house was leading. They had a good lead. He couldn't stop smiling as he thought that their chances of wining was looking better. But he was not wanting to jinx it. He was not going to be too excited about it and jinx it.

They had done it! Well almost. Gryffindor was all but defeated, save for two lonely players on a singular broom. Jorah admired their perseverance in the face of the utter annihilation of their team, but they were beaten. Jorah took no pleasure in kicking a player when they were down. Gryffindors were stubborn however, and they liked to learn things the hard way. Jorah was ready to knock some sense into them.
