It was a busy day of attending classes, studying, organising her notes and avoiding a certain awkwardly friendly girl in the corridors for Winona. She was thankful for these to be over and decided to spend the rest of her time doing what she loves the most, enjoying some peace and quiet with a good book.
The ordinary scenery of the library was starting to feel mundane and boring, in order to spoil herself a little, she put on a jacket and chose a lovelier view to accompany her. One thing she didn't foresee was the fact that she would need to sit down, and get her clothes dirty. Ugh, she hated dirt so much! But the view of the lake was so pretty, and the fresh air seemed to feel nice on her skin, so much that she found a nice spot to gracefully sit down. Leaning her back at the body of a big, old tree as she opened up her book, she was quickly drawn into a different world.
It took her no time to remember where she had left the novel, it was the gripping story of a murder mystery that she has been looking forward to solve the entire day. The young girl must've been so invested in the book that she didn't notice the air getting colder as the clouds scattered around the endless blue washed the sun away from the sky, leaving only a delicate reflection of orange and yellow light on the lake. But the blood rushing to the extremities of her pale skin made it obvious how cold she was getting, especially with her red nose, cheeks and fingers.
She read through at least two chapters, apparently a judge got shot and a doctor was pushed off a cliff in an isolated island, Winona was sure there was a hint dropped in the paragraph she was reading but something pulled her back into reality. The sound of footsteps, crushing dried leaves as they approach her. Putting a finger on the page she was reading as an instinct, she got up on her knees and turned to face whoever was approaching. "Ah- Who's there?!" on a normal day she most likely wouldn't react like this, but this happened to be one of the the worst moments to sneak up on someone from behind.

Watching the grasshoppers and frogs by the lake was a great joy for Elektra, it reminded her of home and she could often be seen around the body of water with her shoes wet and muddy. The reason for today's visit was different though, the young girl was heartbroken about being ignored by someone she was trying to be friends with. Yet she couldn't blame the Slythering girl who seemed very cool. "No wonder she wouldn't want to hang out with someone like me, I should've gotten used to this by now..." she thought to herself.
While walking closer to the lake, she noticed a similar figure, leaning against a tree. She walked closer to the girl who was peacefully enjoying some alone time to see what she was doing. Being her usual clumsy self, she couldn't help but be noisy simply by walking. Though she didn't think she did anything to cause that much spook, she put both her hands in the air and let out an awkward laugh to ease the tension in the other girl's reaction.
"Ah, I'm sorry! Didn't mean to scare you." Looking at the Slytherin's pale face and frightened expression, Elektra noticed how she must've seemed like a stalker. She was going to apologize again, but when she saw the book in her hands she remembered how Winona rejected her many times in the past by saying how busy she was. "Hey! You told me you were busy but you're just reading a book."
Her cheery, smiling face turned into a childish pout, now she visibly upset. She could understand a normal rejection, but being told made up excuses broke her heart.

The panic on Winona's face left it place to an annoyed frown when she saw the person who disturbed her peace. She was almost about to say some very hurtful words, but decided keeping her manners suited her much more. The brunette's past attempts of being friends wasn't that annoying, could've even been cute if she wasn't so daft. But having someone sneak up behind her in an area like this understandably made Winona very uncomfortable.
"I am busy, and it's none of your business!" she spoke with obvious anger in her voice.
"Do you have any idea how creepy it is to follow someone like this?"
She shrugged before even waiting for an answer, and sat down in the position she used to be, with her back against an old tree. Hoping the talkative Hufflepuff would leave if she ignored her long enough, she opened her book again from the page she left off on.
This whole situation made it impossible to not only enjoy reading but also focus and understand what was written in the pages to begin with. She was frustrated about having this pleasant moment ruined for her, but pretending to not overreact seemed like a better idea. Being brought back to reality so suddenly when she was completely lost in the novel, Winona noticed how cold the weather was. Her hands were colder even more than usual, and a gentle yet cold breeze was consistently brushing her skin which made her think if she should wait for the other girl to leave before returning to the castle or if she should get up and leave first.

Being accused of stalking made the friendly badger feel wronged, her warm and friendly expression quickly turned into a sad puppy face. She felt the irresistible urge to prove she didn't have any bad intentions but was afraid of coming off even creepier.
Despite stuttering and looking a little fussy, she tried her best to defend herself. "I come her everyday to watch the bugs and frogs, I didn't know you were here..." too embarrassed to look at the Slytherin, she hung her head.
In order to explain herself better, Elektra sat down next to the other girl just to notice how cold she was. Without saying anything, she took her yellow and black stripped scarf off and put it around the pale and shivering girl's neck while she was trying her best to ignore the her. "How long have you been here? You're going to freeze." she sounded almost annoyed at how the other girl wasn't taking care of herself.
The motivation behind this gesture was nothing more than goodwill, but seeing such a grumpy Slytherin in the Hufflepuff colours make Elektra start laughing. Afraid of angering Winona when she was trying her best to ignore her, she tried to cover her mouth with one hand, trying to muffle her laughter.

Startled by the sudden touch on her neck, Winona raised her voice "What do you think you're doing, you-" her sentence was cut in half when she felt the warmth that was left on the scarf by the brunette's skin. She dig her face deeper into the scarf with a nuzzling motion to protect her nose and cheeks from the cold too. Luckily, it also hid her cheeks being flushed with a red hue caused by shyness. Returning to her usual calm, soft voice, she mumbled "Stop laughing. Don't tell anyone about this."
Turning her head to look at the brown eyes watching her, she looked like a grumpy child with her face covered halfway with the hufflepuff scarf. "I'll go back to the castle after finishing one more chapter. Weren't you going to..." since she didn't really care about the things Elektra babbled about, she had already forgot what brought her here "...watch something?" she wanted to look disinterested because it was embarrassing for her to admit she enjoyed this weird, silly girl's company.
With a sigh, she turned back to her book to finish the last couple of pages of the chapter. It was unexplainably frustrating for her to leave something unfinished, making her itch to finish reading even in this situation when it's hard for her to focus.

Instead of feeling disregarded, Elektra felt relieved that the other girl did not pay attention to her unusual habit. It would have definitely make her feel heartbroken if the already unsociable girl reacted badly to her love for bugs and frogs. Seeing Winona in the Hufflepuff scarf was already so amusing that it took her a while to calm down her giggling.
"Ahh, don't worry, I won't disturb you!" she said with a wide smile on her face. She scooted a little closer and rested her head on the shorter girl's shoulder. Her cheek that was on Winona's shoulder looked squished, causing a funny image as she stared around the lake and trees.
It took her a couple of seconds to come up with an excuse to continue accompanying the Slytherin without coming up as awkward but the more she talked, she kept proving that she clearly was not the brightest student in Hogwarts.
"I'll stand here until you finish reading- so that wolves don't come and eat you!" the girl who just said that looked like she could get in a fight with a wall and still lose, let alone protect anyone. After finishing her sentence, she let out a little chuckle so that she could play it off as both a serious statement or a joke, depending on how Winona reacts.
