I don't understand the hype over Cedric

like yeah he kind of feels like the ONE important Hufflepuff and he absolutely did not deserve what he got but-

Same! I really don’t understand why he gets so much hype. He was like majorly relevant in like one year and he that special I hardly remember his scenes apart from his death.

I think it has to do with his actor in the films and the overall kindness he demonstrated. Everyone loves a sweetheart, and with a charming, pretty attractive Hufflepuff meeting his gruesome fate is bound to break a few hearts.

I personally think his whole arc really just gave fuel to Hufflepuff stigma because he literally DIES
anyways I personally had a crush on Rupert Grint for a while when I was younger (so like, movies 1 and 2)
and then, when I realized I was a bit of a fruit, Emma Watson (movies 3-7)

I also had a period of time where I liked Fred, mostly bc I had a friend that liked Fred...
I also stumbled upon this INCREDIBLY well-written Fred x Reader on Wattpad (in the EARLY days of wattpad when NO ONE knew what it was) that kind of convinced me too
There was also a Sirius Black x Reader that I found that was also really well done...
but alas, both are lost to my memories now (lol they're prolly still up but I don't have access to my old acc)

In my fanfic days I was always a tumblr girl, but I think wattpad had a few good ones
Never really got into x readers, though. More alt ending/post war stories

yeah!! I remember in sophomore year when we were practicing argumentative essays, I wrote mine about how a) Cedric wasn't really all that, and b) neither was/is Gryffindor

Right! Gryff isn’t that great, honestly since i’ve been on this site my love for Gryff hasn’t been the same. Like, it’s nthn to do with the house itself but more i’m in Slytherin and i’m interacting with other houses daily and not just reading Marauders ff

yes - i honestly think he was a good character and did play his part, but ... he does get a lot of hype and i dunno why (besides his 'pretty face' - though that may just be the guy who played him in the movie. though i don't really see why so many people go nuts over him )

Frrr, like RP is a good actor. He’s rly good in his Batman role but Cedric just isn’t worth how crazy people go over him. Like don’t get me wrong, i love my fave characters but sometimes ppl can be OTT
