The Enchanted Maze

"Thanks," Aaron said in kind, a small smile still on his lips. When she commented on the broom and making a dramatic exit, his smile became a bit playful. "Of course, I always make dramatic exits," he joked, chuckling a bit.Interacting: @Lucia Fox
"That's fine by me, it doesn't look like the path through is clear, so wandering feels like our only option anyway," he said as she took his arm. His dark eyes looked carefully at the hedges as they walked and he realized there were no arrows pointing towards the actual ball, nor was there a map for people who didn't want to get lost. Had he missed it at the start? He glanced over his shoulder for a moment, looking at others who were also lacking maps. Yeah, it seemed like the people who organized the ball hadn't given an easy way through. People were guaranteed to get lost if there was no easy way through, right? Worrisome. Not for him, but for others. At least he had a broom and could just fly out and over the maze to the center if he wanted. But it seemed like Lucia was happy to wander for a bit.
"Are you a fan of fairies?" he asked as they walked, referencing the wings she was wearing. He knew they existed in the wizarding world, but they weren't supposed to learn about them in magical creatures class until sixth year, so he'd only seen a picture before. But they looked just like the ones in muggle fairytales. His little sister would be obsessed if she ever saw a real one. The thought of his little sister interacting with a fairy made him grin a little, but the humor left his eyes pretty quickly. His family was a bit of a sensitive topic at the moment. He quickly turned his attention back to Lucia. "I've always been a fan of dragons as far as winged creatures go, but don't tell my owl. She might get jealous," he said with a chuckle. He was a fan of most winged creatures to be fair, since flying was a great ability to have.
His brown eyes turned back on the path they were traveling. As they came to a fork in the maze, he paused. "Left or right?" he posed to Lucia.

The Enchanted Maze
The Welsh boy had been pleased to be graced with Ye-jun's rare, genuine smile and reddened a bit at the sight of it, elated that he had been the one to envoke that smile. He hoped he could see more of it in the near future and endeavored to do so. That meant dealing with Hanako, though.
"If this is you being on your best behavior, I'm scared to know what you consider your normal behavior," Jack replied to the other Slytherin. He frowned a little in confusion when the other boy mentioned being 'too good' before Hanako went on to describe someone he was undoubtably trying to avoid. Perhaps he was the one he had used Jack as a distraction for. Jack also wondered idly who Sara Kohana was; if he was a real person or just a false identity Hanako made up. He wasn't curious enough to ask about it just then, though.
"If you actually enjoyed my company, I'm sure you would be bothering me a lot more," the redhead pointed out to his dormmate. "As it is, we barely talk. Plus I think your pet snake hates me, doesn't she?"
He went on to clarify that Ye-jun and he were headed into the maze together. Though he was glad that Ye-jun's smile suggested he was fine with the declaration and appreciative that Ye-jun himself vocally confirmed it, Jack tried not to laugh at the look Hanako cast him. He hadn't expected his peer to be impressed. He supposed either of them had reason to be impressed and surprised about the other having a date when each of them knew what an aversion the other had to serious relationships. Ye-jun, though...he seemed okay to get close to. At least so far. If that wasn't the case, well...Jack could worry about that later. In the meantime, he wasn't about to let Ye-jun suffer the antics of someone he knew to be superficial and frivolous when it came to relationships. Not unless Hanako was being genuine in his interest too which Jack had been testing with his mention of Rainwood.
The test seemed to have worked, though Jack hadn't been sure what to expect. Hanako's eyes dimmed and he rubbed his forearm in a behavior that made Jack wonder what exactly he had just caused. Though the Japanese boy grinned, it didn't reach his gaze and Jack almost regretted mentioning Rainwood at all. Almost. But if Hanako was going to mess in the affairs of others who were sincere about what they were doing, he deserved to be stripped of his facetiousness; at least a little.
Hanako's answer to the question about Rainwood made Jack wonder if the other boy wasn't just lonely which was particularly distressing to him as he knew all too well what crippling loneliness felt like. He may not have approved of Hanako's way of alleviating that loneliness, but he didn't feel right just leaving him to fend for himself, either, especially when he had kind of come to Jack for 'help'. Okay, so perhaps that was stretching it a bit, but he still felt bad if Hanako was needing to use him of all people as an excuse to get away from unwanted company.
He flinched when Hanako made it clear he had heard what Jack had whispered to Ye-jun and cursed at the fact he had underestimated him and his hearing. "The maze is where the ball is mostly taking place," Jack answered Hanako's proposition. "If we waited until we got out of it, the ball would be over. Unless you mean you'll leave us once we get to the center where the main event is being held." He readjusted his bag and planted his hands on his hips. "What's the matter? Afraid of who or what you might run into in there if you're alone?" He snapped his fingers a couple of times when he noticed Hanako's gaze lingering on Ye-jun. "Oh, and stop staring at Hyung, will you? He gets enough of that already without you adding to it and he's sick of it. He's just too polite to say so."
Jack blinked as a light-haired boy named Colin in - was that ranger's garb? - called out to him, addressing him as 'Jack the Jester', and told him to watch himself, singing a song as he laughed and ran ahead with someone who was presumably his date in tow. Hearing his last name in Colin's little song as he continued singing it, Jack grinned and shook his head. Well, at least some people were certainly enjoying themselves that night. "Glad you're having fun!" he hollered at the younger Slytherin before turning back to Ye-jun, who had just commented on Hanako probably not leaving.
"Nope...I don't think he is," Jack replied, his whisper also no quieter than before and thus obviously meant for Hanako to hear. "But then he can't blame us if he ends up getting fed up with us after we warned him." Jack, beaming at Ye-kun, took his offered arm with his own. "Yes, let's go. And as long as we hold on to each other, hopefully we won't get lost."
He paused, thinking about something. Then he reached into his bag, took out his wand briefly along with one of his previous torches, and called, "Incendio," to light the torch before putting his wand away. "If there are any dangerous plants in there, we can keep them at bay with this," he explained to Ye-jun, taking him by the arm yet again before stepping into the maze. "We can use it to light our way through the maze, too."

The Enchanted Maze
Once Ginyami heard Romeo bring up the subject of Amina with Valentin, like with the conversation between Amina and Slava, Ginyami couldn't help but gravitate towards them in order to hear better. Perhaps it might not have been polite, but his curiosity was far too great for him to be barred by what politeness dictated by that point. He might have allowed Romeo to be the one to pose the question to Valentin, but that didn't mean he didn't also want to know the answer.
When he heard said answer in Valentin's own words, he thought he understood and it made him smile a little at the albino teen's sweet sentimentality. So that was why he seemed so upset. He wanted to save certain things for the one he loved. Once he had told Ginyami that he had held his heart, but was that the same as loving him? He wasn't sure how the seeker had interpreted that particular turn of phrase. If it hadn't been, though, then would he have kissed Ginyami? Surely not...
Things changed, though, the Japanese boy reminded himself. Though Valentin had told Ginyami that he had been rejected by Romeo upon confessing his love, Ginyami had been getting serious impressions since the Sato Yule Ball that Romeo had felt more for Valentin than just friendship or even strong camaraderie. Was it possible Romeo's feelings toward Valentin had changed? Or, perhaps, he had felt mutually all along and just never given voice to it?
He hurt Valentin, though, he thought, considering the past. Valentin had borne his heart and soul to Romeo and Romeo rejected him. Even if it was for certain reasons, that was still cruel. And yet, Valentin still seemed smitten with him. Could Ginyami blame him, after all they had evidently been through together? Still, somehow, it hurt Ginyami's heart and he wasn't sure why. Could this have been what people called jealousy? It felt horrible. Would it have been better to just accept things as they were and let Romeo make Valentin happy if he could?
I could and can do it too, though, Ginyami thought. I can make Valentin happy. No need to leave those two to their own devices just because they seem to get along. Romeo hurt Valentin badly once. Who's to say he won't do it again? And...Valentin didn't seem to mind kissing me. The tips of his fingers brushed his lips as they tingled with the memory of that first, actual kiss during the Thrills and Chills Bash. He didn't seem to regret it.
Not then, he didn't, a nasty little voice at the back of his mind whispered. Maybe he does now. Ginyami frowned and shoved the thought to the back of his mind. He didn't have time for such insecurities. They weren't him. Besides, he trusted Valentin to have done exactly what he had meant to at the time. If Val was having doubts now, Ginyami would just have to dispose of them. It was as simple as that.
He listened idly to Slava and Amina exchanging words, thinking about how they had a dramatically different idea of love than Valentin did. Slava even told Amina to dare him to do something in return for a kiss. That did sound fun to Ginyami - if it hadn't been for a kiss. He himself was a pretty flippant person and liked to think he didn't take too much seriously, but was he really more like Slava and Amina, or like Valentin and perhaps Romeo? Love was something he was still trying to wrap his mind around and it didn't seem like something to be played with or joked about to Ginyami. Of course, that didn't mean other things couldn't be joked about.
"'Underhanded'? I was only teasing, Romeo, if you are even aware of what that is. You don't have to be so serious all the time," he sighed with a little smile which only grew at the comment of 'keeping your heads above water'. "Ah, there, see? Maybe you know how to have a little fun after all."
The Japanese teen dipped his head in acknowledgement of both Romeo's comments and Valentin's unspoken message about protecting Maila before putting on his samurai helmet. His arm had grown weary of holding it and if they were going to face any sort of danger, now seemed the best time to put it back on. "Regarding a match, bring it on. Water hot or cold, I have heard it said I am a good swimmer." His mirthful gaze darted to Valentin's.
He leaned over to whisper near Valentin's ear, the weight of his helmet heavy on his head. "Valya...Romeo and I put ourselves in danger of our own volition. You can't blame yourself for that. As for being emotional, that is what makes you who you are. That is what we and everyone who knows you loves about you. Everyone makes mistakes and you should be allowed to make them. You are being far too hard on yourself."
Ginyami was quiet a moment before asking, "Do you think you should talk to Amina about it? About what her kiss was like to you? I am sure that, as your friend, she would rather know so she didn't cause you distress again. It seems like she was not aware she even caused you any distress to begin with." He glanced back at the chaser and smiled back in response to her wide one, unable to help himself. Her innocent, carefree playfulness reminded him a lot of a child in a charming way, but he was still sure she would have wanted to know what her actions had done if they had caused harm to a friend.
Turning his head to see Maila prepare herself with her wand drawn as well, he nodded in response to her comment about the voice possibly having been a student lost in the maze. It could have also been the maze itself, as Amina had guessed, but whatever it was, it didn't seem to make much of a sound after its initial cry.
"Perhaps we should keep moving and see if we hear anything again. Otherwise we may be stuck here all night long," Ginyami suggested to the group.

The maze inside was very beautiful. The scent of the flowers and the sound of chirping birds could be heard from anywhere inside the maze. "Yeah, let's find our way out of the maze," Zach said. It was the second time he had played in the maze. Long before this, he had entered the maze when he was six years old with his family.
Cassie was leading the way out, and the maze was quite tricky. Sometimes it confused Zach. "I can't remember the way. I have to stay with Cassie again when I leave the ball," he thought. They approached a blocked path on their way, which made them turn back to the previous path. Zach also saw Cassie jump to look over the exit and seem a little disappointed, which made them turn back. Zach kept following her lead until she stopped and said that the exit was just ahead of them. Zach nodded in agreement. She said goodbye and asked Zach to wait for her in the Banquet. Zach nodded again and said, "Thank you for leading me out of this maze. I mean, this magical maze. It would be different if it were a normal muggle maze." They walked straight ahead and found the exit. "See you later, Cassie. Stay safe and good luck," said Zach. He saw Cassie blow him a goodbye kiss, but he didn't know how to respond, so he just smiled and waved his hand as he watched her back disappear. Zach continued to walk to the Banquet.

The Enchanted Maze

It took a while to get through the maze, Clair had let Colin take the lead. She thought it was cute to see him dash about like he was. Clair smiled slightly as she saw the walls of the maze shiver. Her mind wandered back to the doll that was at the last ball, were the plants being moved because of another creepy murderous thing? She pushed the thought away, it was more logical that of course the wind was moving the leaves. It was silly, Colin seemed totally unfazed, as if the last ball had only been a fever dream and nothing at all to worry about. If the boy whose cousin had almost died was not worried why should she be? Her fingers found her necklace and slowly ran across the cool stone it was so smooth and pleasant to the touch.
Clair soon forgot most of her worries as she followed Colin through the maze, she had not run this much in a dress in forever, it was hard. But it felt good, the way the breeze hit her face and hair.
Clair let out a laugh as they ran through the maze, turning a corner and coming to the end of the maze.
She gave Colin a big grin, "Shall we enter this dance Robin Hood?"
She squeezed his hand slightly, a small sign of affection.

Granted, she was a little late. After trudging through what could only be described as giddy teenagers, her dress somehow survived being dragged across the nature-filled grounds. As Maeve arrived at the entrance of the Spring Court, she was nothing but taken aback by the sight before her. The maze loomed over like a formidable challenge, a slight sense of excitement and curiosity stirring within. It was a proper time as any to embrace the unknown, perhaps to reclaim that small bit of freedom that continued to course through her veins.
One thing was for sure, she could certainly feel her heart pounding with both excitement and trepidation as she stepped forward. Surveying the emerald hedges in front of her, Maeve took quick note of the twists and turns that lay ahead. The paths that appeared to call her name shone beautifully, coyly beckoning her forward. The sweet-scented bushes that lined the path she noted were not merely innocent decoration either, but cunning predators waiting to ensnare their unsuspecting victim. Pink pods scattered amongst the foliage not just that of beauty, but perhaps placed as a harmless joke as well. Harmless, yes of course. Maeve still turned away from the plants completely, not keen on finding out.
Faintly could the distant sound of music and laughter be heard, providing at least some sense of direction despite the random pattern. She was far from alone, however, as the longer she stood the more she could see other guests disappearing into the hedges; their dresses and suits fading from view as they delved deeper into the foreboding labyrinth.
Trusting her wit was called for, journeying far deeper as a result of gut-made choices. If Hogwarts of all things was the one hosting such a "puzzle", surely it wasn't meant to be this difficult. Despite this logic, every turn seemed to only further entertain her descent into frustration. That is until the tired girl caught sight of the light in the distance. Her pace had quickened, drawing closer to reveal a clearing of warmth before her. No more were cunning herbs out to get her, replaced instead by blooming flowers wafting amidst the air.sta · 7 | eva · 6 | str · 4 | wis · 6 | arc · 4 | acc · 8

Duvessa felt herself nearly stopped in her tracks as he called her pretty. He seemed to be embaressed, but the dark haired Slytherin found herself responding.
"You don't look bad yourself." That, from Duvessa, was a pretty great compliment. She never handed out bouquets or sang praises to anyone, unless she truly cared. And that, she would have admitted, happened once in a lifetime. She was very select over her friends, but also loyal. She would be the one to stab you first, but be the first to heal you too if she cared.
For a moment, she turned silent. She waited for the moment to come, she to embarass herself, slip into the mud or fall headfirst into the bushes - but it never happened. The hedges gave her a queasy feeling, and Duvessa's hands trembled. There were too many memories from them, and she certainly didn't want to think of them. But she could not stop herself....
Her fathers laugh, "Clever girl," He said, as Lori smiled, blinking tears away.....
She remembered all of it, from his laugh to the look of sadness. Her anger. She realized that she had zoned out, before snapping out of her presence and looked up into his eyes.
"Sorry...er, what do you want to talk about?"
The maze seemed to be forever moving, but Duvessa found herself tracing her footsteps from last time. If she went left, that meant that the entrance should have been on the right...she turned. The banquet was in front of her.

The Enchanted Maze
Even though the night was underway it would not be said that the students arriving into the maze were late. They were fashionably late, or in other words, on time. Time for what one may ask? Only those in the maze would see. The sun, with its golden glow was dipping below the horizon, the light like fingers outstretched grappling for purchase and coming up short. The ball goers were soon to be drenched in darkness, the dim candles and moonlight the only source of light through the tall, overhead hedges. There was no golden saviour to protect them anymore…
Perhaps that was why, as the sun set down for sleep, the flora began to awaken. If ballers noticed anything it was only a slightly harder rusting of leaves, or hardy roots coming to the top soil, ready to trip the unwary or fashionably late. The hedges, if one paid attention, were unfurling their branches and roots, groggily stretching from a long slumber. If one noticed, the entrance to the maze from the Castle was… shrinking? No. That couldn’t be right? If one noticed a few dozen of those smooth grey stones had been moved well, good on them. Best be weary travellers. The night was long, and it seemed had only truly begun.
The ever helpful signage had also gone astray, thick leafage coming to cover the directions that would guide a lost soul towards salvation. Only the eagle-eyed would be able to find them from now on.
No One’s Ever on Time Anyway
Surely this ball couldn’t be worse than one where you almost died right? Lily Brown must have been having these thoughts through her head as she walked into the maze. The path was lit by the glowing candles and one hoped that the new entries into the maze had Lumos at their beck and call. One fashionably late George Henry, like others Ritsu Okazaki, Maeve Selwyn, Mira Hawkins and Akihiko Takahashi also made their entry into the Maze. The light was dimming though, and the signs harder to see. Would they be able to make it to the Banquet, or become just as lost as others who had entered, what seemed hours, before them?
Lost But Not Found
It seemed this ball would not be easily navigated. Many who entered (on time this moderator might add) could be seen walking or the case of one Mister McCoires case, running among the hedges. With all that running poor Miss Ferdinan might have her arm yanked out of its socket. Others such a the galleantly dress Avery Leveret, was helping Marietta Griffis through the Maze. Similarly other pairs could also be seen wandering the maze, hoping to try their luck and find the exit including André Lebedev and Hannah Blossom, Aaron Jones and Lucia Fox, and Achille Lévesque-Auclair and Zendra Blanchet. Himori Sako, yet to find a partner in all the leafy madness, was determined to get out of this as quickly as possible. A wise choice, one might say…
Farewell Fine Friend
Friends? Unsure? Well whatever they were Elsian Cox and Dorian Anderson had found the exit, ready to dance away the night in each others arms. Others too had found the not-that-hard-but-suprisingly-so exit including Nora De Carie, Zach Zaphiere, Opeila Winters and Alec Mason, and Rhys Read, Qrow Beithir and Azrael Faire.
Trumpets are a Pumpin’
Others too had found the exit (thank goodness), but instead of the finely rich Banquet, these ball-goers instead had opted for honour and a healthy dose of competition. Cassie Heather McGregor-Martin and Andrew Lycaan could be seen departing for the high-speed and not at all dangerous event arm in arm, whilst some of the younger ball-goers would also make their way there including Fang Hui-Ying, Botan Minra and Cassie Jiang.
Plants are Friends, Right?
Surely with all the warnings put in place, the weary travellers would take heed. But oh no, not this trio! June Selwyn had got it into her pretty little head that saying hello to the curious flowers found among the edges of the hedges would be a fun time. She was right. Many of them were of the muggle variety, sashaying in the wind as it blew gently. Perhaps she should not stick her hand too close though, for who knows the danger hidden within the depths of the bushes… Agnus Almalik thought for some reason that the hedges were out to get him and could be found yelling at the inanimate hedges like his life depended on it. But that wasn’t the strangest thing amongst the trio. Sara Kohana could be seen following the cute little toadstools on their path. To where? Even this moderator didn’t know, but it would be fun to watch.
From Salvation
Another curious thing to watch would be Pierre Marchonne and his re-entry into the Maze. He’d found the exit before and decided it would be worth a shot to come back again. Perhaps it had been his cat that called him to enter the Maze once more, although with his shouts it seemed the other way around.
Light the Way
A torch to light the way? How practical. Jack Burnett would use this with exceedingly little effort to light to help him and his two compatriots to navigate the maze. But would it help or hinder in the long run?
The young man took advantage of the chance to put his torch on fire so that he could illuminate his path and ward off any encroaching plants that were aimed at them. Only fortune will disclose what fate has in reserve.
I spy…nothing
Perhaps the biggest group of them all in the maze, the six friends, definitely acquaintances, Ginyami Midorimori, Valentin Schnell, Maila Aurora Laine, Vyacheslav Aleksandrovich Preobrazhensky, Romeo Giovanni Marchonné and Amina Petrovic were on the lookout. But for what? The maze? It was harmless, just a few plants and stones scattered around the grounds. Of course, as the Sun set, perhaps it was wise to be cautious…

A pretty prince. Like the one whose the heir of the kingdom but all they do is laze around and skip lessons. From top to bottom, he wore this royal-like get up in dark blue colours. Each little thing added to the outfit (the cape, the badge, the shoulder pads etc) made their use by hiding his usually skinny stature, giving him the illusion that he was more built than he actually was.
The main attention grabber definitely was his outfit, but there were other small details people who talked to him could notice. Like the subtle shade of red that dusted his eyelids, giving a sort of femininity to his outfit. As well as the one clip on earring he wore on his right ear, that was a light shade of gold, shaped like thin ropes that reached just above his shoulders.
His hair was kept in his usual manner of soft wavy jet black locks. If not, even slightly more curled than usual.
"If this is you being on your best behavior, I'm scared to know what you consider your normal behavior,:” Jack mentioned, in which Hanako responded with a cheeky grin as he said his next reply with full confidence. “ Oh, less memorable, that I can assure you, Burnett “ he gave him a playful wink.
"If you actually enjoyed my company, I'm sure you would be bothering me a lot more," the redhead pointed out to his dormmate. "As it is, we barely talk. Plus I think your pet snake hates me, doesn't she?"
Hanako’s grin fell into a slight frown. “ Aww. Burnett..this is a..” his frown disappeared. “ very indirect way of you telling me you want to hang out more~. You should’ve just said so instead of waiting for me to come to you if that was the case. Are you the type that likes to be chased~?” he cooed, amusement in his eyes. Naturally slipping into his flirty tone that he just used on Ye-Jun and leaned a tad bit closer to the slytherin boy “ You would’ve had more luck if you don’t have Pretty Boy here as your date. Maybe next time~? I can be the type to chase, if that tickles your fancy~” he batted his eyes, completely ignoring Ye-Jun at this particular moment. Ah, this is so fun. Bless Labraouder for showing him how to use pretty words to have fun. He didn’t linger for long and he eventually leaned away from the boy. “ And Cu Sith? Please, she has a habit of disliking people I actually do like. “ he mentioned truthfully.
Ye-Jun then confirmed Jack and him were planning to go in the maze together. A fact that was more amusing than disappointing.
Burnett began to ask him to specify what Hanako wanted to do. A gesture that almost earned a genuine smile from the boy. Almost. Sure, it was cute. It was always nice not to be turned away immediately. Though he wasn’t sure if that was out of the goddess of Burnett’s heart, or the fact he knew Hanako still wouldn’t go away if he did say no.
“ Oh great, I’ll tag along with you guys until I decide we’re close enough to the main event in the middle of the maze. Or when I start getting bored” by the fun he’s having currently, he doubted the two would prove to be boring company. Unless they decide to do it purposely. Then that would've been the smartest way to get him out of their way. “ That's the.. Where the banquet is being held? Not going to lie, I came here without paying much attention to umm.. Anything. I was going to wing it when I arrived~” he shrugged.
"What's the matter? Afraid of who or what you might run into in there if you're alone?” Burnett mentioned. Hanako wasn’t sure if he said so to tease him to urge him to leave the pair alone, or dig into what made Hanako uneasy about joining the maze alone. Still, Hanako showed him a cheerless grin. “ Me? Afraid? Please, I’m a capable duelist with scary arcane power and pretty good aim. Is it really that surprising that I may just genuinely want to hang out with you and Pretty Boy there?”. Maybe not as friends, sure. But he certainly wasn’t lying when he said he wanted to follow them. It was really fun to mess with people’s dates for a while. This pair especially.
To his dismay, Burnet interrupted his view by rudely snapping his fingers in front of his face. He did a stunning job at getting Hanako’s eyes back on the slytherin boy at least. Although he looked a little less than pleased. "Oh, and stop staring at Hyung, will you? He gets enough of that already without you adding to it and he's sick of it. He's just too polite to say so."
Hanako pondered his response, before showing him a cheeky grin. “ Can’t help that I find him easy on the eyes, Burnett. But alright~” he surrendered“ I’ll give him a break for now. But only because you’re the one asking~” the tease was heavy in his tone. " That. And also mainly because I'm in a good mood now". He noticed Burnett calling Ye-Jun ‘hyung’, but decided not to comment about it. Hanako wasn’t sure if that was a nickname or some sort of honorific. He was aware other cultures used them, but Hanako wasn’t confident in what was used for which person and why. He’ll stick to Pretty Boy for now.
“Didn’t you just say you can take care of yourself? Why join us then?” Ye-Jun questioned. “ For fun~” Hanako responded simply as if it was a stupid question.
It was then that Ye-Jun may have picked up that Hanako had sensitive hearing, and proceed to whisper a few things to Burnett that he had no idea of. Hana was sensitive to sound, it wasn’t that he had a super power. “Well…if you dare, you follow and we’ll see what happens, hm?”
“ Oh yea yea, sure Pretty Boy. You won’t even know I’m here~” he blatantly lied through his teeth with no shame. As if Hanako Tone was ever capable of that. He was wayyy too good at grabbing attention.
It was then some kid starting getting Burnett’s attention by singing.. Something? For someone who didn’t like having friends, he seemed to be generally well liked. Then again, his personality was far more friendly than Hanako could ever muster naturally.
Seeming like the boys had a solid plan, they started acting like the dates they are interlocking arms. Awwww… and also… ewwwww… . That was a bit too romantic for Hanako’s personal taste buds, but rather than disappointed, he was more amused at the sight of it. He hadn’t expected Burnett in such a setting. Truthfully, Hanako was a tad bit envious he managed to score a hot dude as a date. How he did it, Hanako was not sure. And he had too much pride to ask.
Burnett then lit one of his torches with fire. Hana was rather thankful he didn’t make him hold one as well. One, ew. He was a prince tonight, not a peasant. Holding torches shouldn’t be his job, and he was thankful Burnett understood that. “ Lead the way, Lover boy~” Hana teased from behind, before they started walking inside the maze.
Less than eager to being a target for those dangerous plants Burnett mentioned, he allowed the pair to go first as the lover dovey date they are while he trailed them along like some sad lost dateless stalker. Those descriptions didn’t seem that far from the truth. But hey, he had all his entertainment right in front of him. Although he couldn’t see their faces with their backs turned to him.
“ Soooooo~” time to start being the annoying third wheel of the night “ Mind telling this broken hearted soul about your love story? It's something I've been genuinely curious about. Especially you, Burnett. Last time we talked you mentioned.. “. Hanako trailed off on his words, uncertainty clouding his expression. During their short talk about crushes months ago, Burnett revealed that he had a crush on someone. At the time, Hanako wasn’t eager to ask more questions because Burnett expected him to spill the same truth or use his token for something silly as that. But could it be that Ye-Jun was the person he mentioned? Hanako wouldn’t be surprised like heeeelllloooooo just look at the hunk. He was curious to ask now, but something halted his question from continuing. It would be embarrassing if he was wrong wasn’t it? And a bit awkward for Ye-Jun, maybe. Plus, was it even something Burnett wanted Ye-Jun to know? “.. that you weren’t interested in stuff like this “. It wasn’t worth it, he decided. “ I knew you since we were 1st years Burnett. What happened to Mister ‘ being-friends-is-overated-bussiness-transactions-the-best~’” Hanako mocked the way Burnett sounded, with full intention to be awful at it. Even he was unable to stop a short laugh at the way he sounded.
He glanced towards Ye-Jun next. “ You too, Pretty Boy. Surely you had other ways to charm this guy into a date with you?”

Whatever warnings were given, June had clearly not paid them any mind. She hadn't paid mind to a lot of things since returning from Easter break. She felt lost, aimless. Her very foundations had been shaken. Apathetic, that was the word. She had become apathetic to most things in life.
"Hello, flowers," she muttered under her breath. "You aren't going to ruin my life, now are you?"
And then, they seemed to... Move? It wasn't substantially breezy, was it? No, surely June was imagining things. The sun was dipping below the horizon and shadows were crawling across the grassy floor. Yes, June was having a hard time seeing in the dark, that was all. She pulled out her wand, preparing to cast Lumos once the last rays of light had disappeared from the sky.
June peered closer at the plants, eyeing them over as well as she could. The veiny textures on the leaves, the strength of the wood, the fragility of the petals, it was all something to marvel at. It reminded June of her childhood, days spent swimming in lakes and climbing trees, picking flowers to give to her mother.
Her mother.
June's brow furrowed in anger, apathy suddenly washing away and replaced by boiling anger and betrayal. "You know what kind of bouquet I'd like to give you now?" June reached out toward one of the flowers with the intent of picking one, throwing it on the ground, and grinding it into the dirt with her foot. Would she complete that entire process? Likely not, but only one way to find out...
Action: Attempting to pick a flower (let chaos reign)
Open to interaction, but dm or owl me first please!
