Performing Arts, it was something Rita always enjoyed doing but never got enough opportunity to do. The black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff first-string beater would not consider herself to be a theater kid, but she was actually quite interested in drama and had written and played a role in a few productions in her former muggle primary school, but since attending Hogwarts, Rita actually did not get many opportunities to act in any productions, so when the black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff beater found out there was a drama club, she did not hesitate much to join the club. although she had joined a countless number of clubs throughout her second year at Hogwarts

Anyway, it seemed that the drama club now had a new leader, who was of course the Gryffindor duelist Kim, and Kim had told them that the first meeting would take place right after April Fools Day and right before the spring break, on Apr 2nd at 10:30 am in the classroom. So, on that day, after a quick breakfast and getting some homework done in her plant palace dorm, the black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff beater ran downstairs and arrived at the classroom at approx. 10:25 for the first meeting of the drama room, which was still a little early than the scheduled starting time, and Rita quickly looked around and found out she was the first person to arrive besides Kim himself, the new leader of the drama club. Rita decided to just walk up to Kim and say hi.

"Hi, Kim! Fancy seeing you once again and how are you feeling today? So, is this the meeting for the drama club and we just sit here and wait for other members to come since it is still a few minutes before the actual starting time of the first meeting of the drama club?" Rita waved to Kim with a bright smile on her face, then just find a place to sit around the empty classroom and waited for the other members of the drama club to arrive.

The stage was not an unfamiliar place to Nora, who has been an actor most of her life. Unfortunately, it had been rather on and off the last couple of years, but that was only because of other commitments. In truth, she loved theatre, and it had been one of the few drawbacks to coming to Hogwarts. Her mind went from the excitement of finally meeting other wizards to concern about acting in an instant after she received her letter of acceptance. But maybe now she wouldn't have to choose.

As Nora trekked up the stairs from the first to the second floor, she wondered what her first meeting would be like. Of course, any sort of play would be difficult, seeing as it was so close to the end of the year, but it wasn't unheard of. Nora had been in performances in the past that she was only given days to prepare for, and even less to memorize her lines. Sure, it had been a terrible show, one of her worst, but it was considerably better than she would have expected. Of course, it was likely that they would just do games and prompts, but you never knew.

After a minute or two, Nora finally arrived at the classroom. As she opened the door and scuttled in, she noticed that two people were already there. The first, a female Hufflepuff, was someone Nora barely knew anything about. She was certainly older than Nora, and she thought she remembered that her name started with an R. The second person was also a second year, and this one Nora did recognize. It was Kim Aoki, the Drama Club's new leader, who often sported different hair colours. Nora wondered what he had in store for them.

Without saying anything other than a muttered hello, Nora headed towards an empty spot. Once seated, she pulled out the blue book she'd brought with her. Yawning, she cracked it open. It was only 10:26, after all, and she had some time to kill before more members arrived.

Rebecca arrived right as the clock struck 10:30, not early by any means, but not technically late, which is what counted as far as he was concerned. "Hello, all," he greeted with a smile and a nod.

He matched Kim's small wave with a casual one of his own, picking up an apple from the platter of snacks and settling onto one of the chairs that had been pulled into a loose circle.

Looking around at the gathered students who had already arrived, he recognized a few familiar faces. Kim and Rita were a year ahead of Rebecca, but they'd exchanged friendly words in the past. He caught Rita's eye and grinned at her. They'd likely be seeing more of each other now that they were in the same club.

He'd sat in the chair next to another Slytherin first year he'd seen around but never had a reason to talk with before. He was pretty sure she had a French sounding name. Nora de... Croûte. Or something. She was avoiding eye contact with the room by hiding her nose in a book.

From the club roster he knew that Ava Winchect would be expected to come, and he ignored the prickling discomfort that came with the thought of seeing her.

Ever since January he'd been... not avoiding her precisely. But definitely keeping a wary distance. But this was Drama Club! Something that he'd actually been looking forward to! He wasn't going to let one person keep him from trying to pursue his interests at school.

He took a bite out of his apple and leaned back more casually in his chair, looking towards their club's fearless leader and waited for the introductions to begin.

Scarlett walks through the dark corridors around trying to find the classroom the drama club meeting was being held in. Scarlett arrives to the club meeting 3 minutes earlier. She made it a habit to get to a place about 5 minutes before the time she was supposed to be there by. She eventually made it to the classroom where she saw 3 students, 2 of which being: @Kim Sato, who she had seen in the hallways and the club owner, and @Rita Su, a fellow Hufflepuff she definitely had seen before in the Hufflepuff common room once or twice. But she had never seen the Slytherin: @Nora De Carie who was already seated in a chair.

She backed out of the classroom slightly, and took a deep breath: Don't worry Scarlett people won't judge you here. Everybody here probably likes theatre as much as you do. Just relax.

Scarlett really enjoyed theatrical arts, in fact, she was pretty good at acting- it was a good escape from reality. Her sister, Elaine, used to audition for plays at her muggle school and ran her lines through with Scarlett, it was very fun to pretending to be someone else with her older sister.

She walked into the classroom. "Hi- um...is this the drama club meeting?" She aske shyly and quietly. She saw a few heads turn to her and she chose to look at the floor since she really didn't want to make eye contact anyway.

I wonder how today will go. Mari thought to herself as she headed to her first drama club meeting. She had been in two of the school plays before so she was sure that she could do her best in this club. Besides, she loved getting to perform especially as a character completely different from herself. It was a fun challenge for her. As she approached the meeting room she could already hear some voices inside. She checked her outfit once more to make sure she looked okay and entered slowly, glancing around to see the President of the club and a few club members. Phew, I'm not late. Mari kept her head high as she always tried to appear confident even when she wasn't and went over to Kim. "Hi, it's nice to officially meet you! I'm Mari Hughes, first year Hufflepuff! Mari said cheerfully with a smile to the boy and gave a small wave."I didn't mean to interrupt, just wanted to introduce myself." She said before leaving the two and taking a seat. As she waited for the meeting to begin, she scanned the room. She didn't really know anyone here but she hoped she could change that and get to know some of the other members.

She idly watched as one girl seated across from her was focused on a notebook. Was she shy or simply not sociable? AngelFyre had read a few years ago that many actors, contrary to what she would have thought, were actually quite shy, or if not not shy, very introverted. She, herself, definitely fell into the latter category. She was not shy by any stretch, but she was most definitely an introvert. That was part of her excitement mixed with dread feeling that hung over her in that very moment. The excitement came from the idea of tapping into her creativity center and finding other aspects of herself and other ways to express herself; finding new avenues of growth.

The dread was two fold, and trumped her excitement as the reason she decided to sign up for this club. People wore her battery down quickly, but she knew isolation was not good for her, and much as she would love to be able to do so, she could not spend 24/7 with Simon. The second prong of dread was the idea of a spotlight, literally and figuratively. No matter how well she did anything, she did not like being watched while doing it. Knowing that eyes were trained on her always bothered her and generally interrupted her focus, causing silly mistakes. Dueling had been quite helpful in helping her move beyond such thoughts, but she had a ways to go still. Dancing seemed to be the one area where an audience was never a concern, and she had often thought it was because every bit of it had been put down to muscle memory. She hoped that Drama Club might offer a similar kind of muscle memory. She reasoned it would not be AngelFyre anyone would be watching, but whomever or whatever she would be portraying, and she felt an odd sort of liberation in that way of thinking. It would not be AngelFyre in the spotlight, but the character.

As she sat there and waited along with everyone else for the meeting to begin, she hoped she had this figured right, but even if she did not, something inside told her she needed to be here. That was enough for now.

─────Seven nervously stepped into the classroom. There were only about half a dozen people inside. They hadn't met any of them before. This whole drama club thing would be scary, but they had to put themself out there, right? Right? Well, this wasn't going to be easy - especially since theater kids tended to be super confident, unlike Seven. They blamed their parents for that. Introductions are an important part of meeting someone new and that can be hard if you're named after a number. What were their parents thinking?

Anyways, there was a circle of chairs and desks in the classroom, and Seven sat down at one, trying to be as far away from everyone else as they could. It wasn't like they didn't want to make friends - they did. But their fear of doing something really embarrassing was powerful. More powerful than the desire to make friends in the drama club.

It was about 10:30, which was interesting since the leader of the club was allowed to pick the date and time of the meetings. Seven wondered why Kim would choose an early time.

They inwardly shrugged and opened their book. Hopefully, people would see they were busy and wouldn't make Seven feel awkward or something.
