well, I haven't read Frankenstein, but I get the sense that both Offred and Frankenstein are expected to be like perfect little puppets and go along with the expectations set for them but they both (well, Offred, at least) knows what it's like to have been free with certain rights and she remembers a time where handmaidens didn't exist and they weren't expected to basically breed for men

anyways, I came to the chat to say this
"let's all go to the spring ball", we said.
"it'll be better than last time," we said

It`s that AP Lit or A-Level one?
So Forbidden knowledge is like something that the characters are not supposed to know but us as readers know, I guess?
