Books and new friend
"I am going to call you Mell if you like it." Linda smiled in supporting way ready to listen to what Mellani will say about herself.
Living with muggles, that sounds cool. She will be her first friend who was muggle born. "Oh awesome. Can you tell me more about your family and everything you just don't mind to share. And I noticed you were a bit worried when you said about being muggle born. But why? I find it so wonderful, you will be my first friend who is muggle born and just if you don't mind I could know a lot from you about it. Also I hope I won't sound rude, perhaps you were nervous because someone made fun of it, but you should be proud of who you and your family are. Don't care about those who don't accept you, they are not worth it."
"Sure. I am Linda Ramirez. I have an elder brother and I come from pureblood family and all of them studied here just like me. We have garden in front of the home and I really liked to spend there my time. You should see it one day, I am sure you will like it. Also please don't mind blood status, I don't care about it. And feel free to ask me more."

Books and new friend
Mellani smiled at the nickname. It was a good one. It was also a very common one with her friends beck at home. The girl then proceeds to ask Mellani about her family. And also asks her why she didn't want to share that she was a muggle-born. She says there's nothing wrong being one! Oh, if everyone were to think that, wouldn't this school be a better place? But she finds it wonderful and Mellani is glad she doesn't mind it.
"Well, um, my family is really kind to me... My dad's an engineer and my mom's a scientist. My brother's um... just a student? And thanks for the whole speech... I'm glad you think being muggle-born is wonderful. I'll be sure to tell you more about it when we get the time..." she said, a grateful smile on her face.
She listened patiently as Linda spoke about herself. She had an older brother too! And a garden! Mellani loved gardens! "I'd love to see your garden when I can! And I don't know what else to ask." she replied, shrugging her shoulders. Was that the right response? Hopefully. Wow, Mellani seemed to be doing a lot of hoping lately.

"Oh that sounds great, we can talk about it later if you don't mind." Linda was so interested to know more about Mell and she was so happy that this girl didn't refuse her wishing to be friends.
"That's gonna be so awesome. I'm sure you will like it. It has a lot of different plants, lake with some fish, place where you can lay and relax and even place where you can look at the stars." Linda let herself dream a bit about how great it will be. Sharing her favorite place with her friend. Surely gonna be quite special. She was sure that her family will be happy if she will come with friend. None of them cared about blood status, so it will be really awesome time.
It was now when Linda noticed it was late. "Wow, I was so interested in listening to you that I didn't notice it's late already. Let's meet again and talk more about each other another time. I am happy to get so great and interesting friend like you. I hope we can become besties but time will show." Linda didn't want to go but it really was time for them to go already. But it was already awesome time. And now she has so nice friend so yeah, this day was surely great.

Mellani nodded. They would talk later. At least she hoped so. She had loved being around this girl and she hoped the girl had enjoyed it as much too. She gave the girl a smile as the girl talked about her garden. The garden sounds like the best place in the world. I wonder how I'll go there though... But let's think about that when the time comes, she thought.
Mellani glanced at the clock when Linda said it was getting late. It was indeed late. Mellani was surprised she'd forgotten all about the time while talking to this girl. Guess that was what friendship was... "Yeah... It is getting late. I'd love to meet you again! And you're right. Only time will show.", Mellani replied to Linda.
Linda seemed eager to be best friends. Maybe they could be those some day. Mellani was glad to have met her. She was glad she had made a friend after only fifteen days into the school. And it was someone from a different house. That was good too, right? Mellani was looking forward to talking to this girl more and getting to know her better. Every Introvert needs an Extrovert, right?
