Every Introvert Needs an Extrovert Solo/PV F

Well, it was time for some exercise books. Prior to traveling cross the Pacific Ocean and arriving at Hogwarts again for the spring ball and the Second Hexwizard task, Andy and the other students in Ilvermorny had been given some exercise books to review what they had learned while they were away from the school in US. However, the second year Thunderbird was again too distracted by all the interesting things as a visitor to the magical school in Scotland, and not until today, Apr 20th and 4 days after their arrival, the brown-haired Thunderbird had finally put some focus on his studies. He took out the exercise book and his quill, and began revising those spells he learned in his second year in Ilvermorny.

"Oh, let me see what we got, General Counter Spell, Finite Incantatem, great; Incendio duo, Slug-Vomiting Charm, Blindfolding Spell, Slippery Jinx, Expelliarmus, there are just so many spells here! The incantation, the wand movement, how can I remember all of them for the exam?" Andy murmured to himself as he looked through the exercise book and struggling a bit to remember all the content. However, his focus was suddenly lost, as he noticed an unfamiliar voice speaking to him.

Unwillingly, Andy lifted his head from the exercise book, and saw a girl with short straight black hair, yellow skin, and yellow glasses waving to him with a warm smile. The girl apologized for disturbing him, introduce herself as Rita from Hogwarts, and asked what his name was and which school he was in.

"Well, that was a sudden encounter! You surprised me a bit! I'm just trying to focus before you suddenly come and now I lose focus again!" Andy turned to the other girl with a surprised and anxious look, "Anyway, you are from Hogwarts? I came here from Ilvermorny in US 4 days ago. The name is Andy by the way." Andy definitely felt less nervous and shy when meeting someone new, but the sudden encounter by the girl in front of him definitely surprised him and made him really anxious.

Rita took a closer look at the boy in front of her, who was a bit surprised and anxious to lose focus due to the Second Year Hufflepuff beater suddenly walking uop to him and starting to strike up a chat. "Hmm, brown hair, clean face, light skin, green-grey eyes, and somewhat big ears, that boy really is a adorable little boy. I wish I can get to know him better very soon. Anyway, he seemed to be quite anxious. I have probably distracted him from studying, and I should probably apologize to him." The Second Year Hufflepuff thought before opening her mouth to speak.

"Oh, sorry again! I don`t know you are trying to focus and don`t mean to disturb you from you studies! Hope you don`t mind my sudden intrusion!" Rita opened her mouth and replied to Andy with a bright smile and a sincere look on her face, "So, you are from the US? It must be quite a long distance to travel here across the Pacific ocean from there! Anyway, welcome to Hogwarts and how was your travel, if I may ask?" Rita felt like it must be extremely tiring to go through such a long travel across the ocean to arrive in Hogwarts in the Scottish Highlands from the US, and those train rides from London to Hogwarts she had to take a few times a year already made her fell quite exhausted, and she only imagined those long travels across the ocean to much longer and more exhausting. "It must hurts to go through such a long distance to arrive in here for the ball and the Hexwizard task stuff. I really cannot imagine how those students from other schools around the world managed to do that!" The black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff beater thought while waiting for the other American boy to respond.

Andy would prefer to focus on her homework and stay away from any chats a moment before, but the girl in front of him just had too much energy and enthusiasm, it was just too difficult to stay away from her energy, charisma, and bubbly personality, so the brown-haired Second Year Thunderbird decided to put her homework aside and focusing on getting to know the girl in front of him more, at least for now. "That girl really seemed to be one of those extroverts! Sometimes I found their energy to be a bit too overwhelming to me, but I have to admit it is those extroverts that helps me to open up a bit and come out of my little shell! I really wanna know that girl in front of me better! Her name is Rita, isn`t it? Quite simple but very pretty name! Anyway, let me put the exercise book down and focus on the talk, at least for now. I`ve done quite a few of those exercises, and there are plenty of days left to complete them, so I`m not in a hurry to finish them!" The brown-haired Thunderbird thought as he was putting his exercise book down and was about to open his mouth to speak.

"Oh, it`s OK! I`ve decided to put that exercise book down and do it later, cos I get plenty of time to do it while staying here for several days! But maybe there is only one chance to talk to you, Rita!" Andy replied with his face lit up as he spoke.

However, Rita then asked about the long travel to Hogwarts in the Scottish Highlands from his school Ilvermorny back in the US, which was like a pain in the neck for Andy. The stupid and arrogant Headmaster Plott had telled a bunch of Ilvermorny students, including Andy himself, to drive the boat for him with himself proudly stood in the middle, which was definitely one of the most painful experiences the brown-haired Thunderbird had in his 13 years of life. Andy felt like he was about to cry even when he thought about that. On the bright side though, the adult that seemed to be in charge of Hogwarts, whom seemed to be named Solomon from overhearing the talk between Headmaster Plott and that adult from Hogwarts, gave them a warm welcome and offered to provide them with pies and pumpkin juices in the great hall, despite the fact that it was already very late at night when their boats arrived at the great lake in Hogwarts.

"Speaking to the travel, it was... not very good. Our headmaster treated us like dirt. but on the bright side, the man that seems to be in charge of your school, I believe his name is Solomon, if I remembered correctly from overhearing the talk between the adults, treated us very nicely. He gave us a warm welcome and provides us with some food in the great hall although it was nearly 9 pm when we arrived." Andy continued to speak, "Anyway, enough about that painful experience. Let`s change the topic. So, could you tell me a little more about yourself? What are some of your hobbies and interests? I`m interested in getting to know you a bit more right now." Andy then waited for the other girl to respond, and just could not wait to see if they share any common interests.

Rita felt bad about the American boy in front of her when the boy said their headmaster in Ilvermorny in the US treated them like dirt. On the bright side though, the brown-haired boy also mentioned their headmaster here in Hogwarts, Mr. Solomon Lear, treated them very nicely. Actually, Rita was not super close to Headmaster Lear, but from she could say, Mr. Lear seemed to be quite nice to the students and were almost always there during balls, welcome partys, and big tournments like the Hexwizard Tournment. "Maybe I should not ask Andy about his travel, but anyway he agrees to change topic so we are just fine." The black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff beater thought.

"Oh, I`m sorry to hear that your headmaster did not treat you very nicely. Maybe I shoudn`t ask you about your travel, hope you don`t mind that. Our headmaster, Mr. Solomon Lear, seems to be quite nice to students from what I know about him, as he is always there to help and support students during events and tournments, so I`m glad he gave you a warm welcome." Rita replied with a somewhat worried look.

Then, Andy changed the topic and began to ask about Rita`s hobbies. "Oh, I have a variety of hobbies. Music is a big part of my life, and so is Quidditch, reading, nature, and just meeting up with people. I also really like devouring food! What about you, do you share any hobbies and interests with me?" Rita then turned to the brown-haired boy in front of her and waited for Andy to respond. The Second Year Hufflepuff beater with short straight black hair found the brown-haired American boy named Andy in front of her to be a very interesting boy, and could not wait to get to know him better.

If Andy was a little bit angry about the girl in front of him bringing up something about his sad story during the trip to Hogwarts, he surely was not that angry after the black-haired Hufflepuff apologize to him and began to talk about her hobbies instead. Music, Quidditch, nature, talking to people, those were really interesting hobbies. And when the girl in front of him mentioned Quidditch, Andy immediately thought of her cousin Daphne, who told the brown-haired Second Year Thundbirds via owls that she recently get admitted as a second-string seeker. "Oh, Daphne. Where are you? I know you must be somewhere around Hogwarts as you of course study here, but where can I find you? I just cannot wait for the spring ball to start tomorrow since it seems to be the only chance I can meet Daphne and see the beautiful girl in real life! By the way, shall I tell the girl in front of me about my cousin Daphne? I think probably not cos I wanna keep that as a secret at least just for now, I don`t want people to spread gossip about me andmy cousin, especially since there is difference in our blood status. That cursed two words I don`t really care about, but I know some people probably do." Andy thought before opening his mouth to speak.

"Oh, those are very interesting hobbies! For me, broom racing is where my true passion lies, and I think that is similiar to Quidditch in some ways; and you can probably see I am bit of an introvert, but now I feel like having small talks with people helps me to open up a bit and overcome my shyness. By the way, thank you for caring about me about my awful travelling. You are right about shouldn`t bringing that up in the first place, but I`m fine now. Life is Hogwarts seems much better than life in Ilvermorny, especially when you have a nicer headmaster than us." Andy replied calmly and tried his best to pretend his desire to meet up with his cousin, and waited for the girl in front of him to respond. The black-haired girl in front of him, Rita, really seemed to be an interesting figure, and Andy just could not wait to know about her.

Rita listened carefully with a bright smile on her face when Andy told her about his favorite hobby broom racing, then the brown-haired Broom Racer from Ilvermorny in the US mentioned having small talks with people helped him to open up a bit and try to be less shy. As an extroverted person, Rita kind of understood not all people was as extroverted and open as Rita herself, and some people wouyld even found talking to others to be an extremely difficult stuff. Either way, the black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff first-string beater felt glad that having small talks with people could help the brown-haired American boy in front of her to open up and became less introverted and shy.

"Oh, broom racing is a really nice sport! I`ve watched a broom racing match before! But I don`t know what is worse, being hit by trees and vines or being hit by bludgers, I suppose they are both very dangerous sports, but also very thrilling at the same, isn`t it, Andy?" Rita then finally opened her mouth to respond, "I understand not everyone is as extroverted and bubbly as me, but I`m glad having small talks with people can help you to open up and become less shy! So, how do you enjoy your visit at Hogwarts so far, and are you excited for the spring ball tomorrow? I`m quite excited for the ball, cos I`m going to the ball with someone as a ball friend! Do you have a ball date or something like that?" Rita then turned to the American boy in front of her and waited for the brown-haired American boy to respond.

The girl with short straight black hair wearing a pair of yellow glasses in front of Andy, named Rita, continued to talk about the difference between broom racing and Quidditch, then asked how the brown-haired Second Year Thunderbird broom racer felt about his visit to Hogwarts and something about the spring ball. The black-haired girl also told Andy that she already had a ball date, which made Andy wonder who he would go to the ball with. "Oh, the spring ball. There is of course going to be a lot of people, and it is of course going to be quite crowded and chaotic, but at least I can meet up with my friends and someone new from different parts of the world. On the bright side, it is also a great way for me to open up and have small talks with people while we dance and do other things on the ball, and I believe I can find someone to go to the ball with me. I just hope nothing will go wrong at the ball." The brown-haired Thunderbird thought before opening his mouth to speak.

"Well, you are absolutely right. I think every sport, whether it is Quidditch, broom racing, or dueling. all contain some risk factors. But the adrenaline! That`s what drives me into those thrilling and risky sport matches." Andy turned to the black-haired girl Rita and speak calmly, "As for my visit to Hogwarts, it`s been great, there is a lot of stuff to do and see around the school, and I even meet up with a boy in courtyard that is very extroverted like you! In terms of the ball, I think I am sort of looking forward to that, it is definitely going to be crowded and chaotic with a lot of people, but it is a great way to meet up with new people and old friends from all magical schools around the world. It`s great that you have a friend to go to the ball with! I haven`t find someone as a ball date, but I believe I will find one eventually!"

"Andy is probably right! What really drives us into those risky sports is really the thrill of it! Flying on a broom and ascending to the flying is just so free and exciting! By the way, I really wish I could try broom racing some time in the future! I`m sure it will also be very interesting, I wonder what will be more fascinating, Quidditch or Broom racing?" Rita thought before opening her mouth to reply to the brown-haired American boy in front of her, "By the way, I`m so glad I got someone to go to the ball with me, I know the ball will be very crowded and noisy, and it`s very easy to get lost, so I think having someone by you side to go to the ball with is definitely a plus point!"

"Yeah, you are absolutely right! The excitement and the freedom of ascending on the broom and flying up in the sky, that`s what drives me into those risky sports!" Rita finally opened her mouth to reply, "By the way, I`m glad you are enjoying your life at Hogwarts and I`m sure you`ll find someone to go to the ball with! I know the spring ball is crowded and noisy, but trust me, it is not too hard to find someone to go to ball with, and as long as you can do that, I`ll be a lot easier for you to enjoy the ball without getting lost by the crowds!"

Then, Rita figured out she had spent too much time in the campground and her empty stomuch told her it was nearly time for dinner. "I think that is enough time spent in the campgrounds and it is getting late, shall we go now? I think I need go and get some dinner! I think I must dash now and see you later very soon!" Rita then waved goodbye to the American boy in front of her, and slowly took her step to leave the campgrounds. The black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff beater definitely felt lucky to meet Andy, and would want to get to the brown-haired boy better in their future meetings.

Andy smiled when the black-haired girl in front of him continued to talk about the adrenline of broom sports and reassured him that he would probably find a ball partner, which he later would found out he eventually did go to the ball with the redhead Wampus girl Estelle, and at least they were supposed to be ball partners, but it was questionable that if they were really friends. Well, it was safe to say Es was a pretty good company to go into the ball with. Anyway, enough about the stuff that would happen on the spring ball tomorrow, let`s just focus on the present about what the brown-haired Second Year Thunderbird broom racer was doing right now, and he was about to open his mouth and reply to the black-haired girl in front of him named Rita.

"Yeah, it was because of the adrenline that I was so drawn into broom racing, and I think you are likely to do the same with Quiddich." Andy then opened his mouth to reply to the black-haired girl in front of him with a slight grin on his face, "And thank you for your reassurance! I believe I`ll eventually find someone to go to the ball with me!"

Then, Rita realised she had spent too much time on the campgrounds and it was nearly time for dinner, so the black-haired girl with yellow glasses waved goodbye to Andy, and took her steps to leave the campgrounds. Andy grinned again, thinking "that left me some time to focus on my exercise books and other schoolwork, but it was very nice talking to Rita, maybe I should meet up with her again to do some other interesting things. Anyway, I agree I`ve spent too much time there doing those meaningless small talk and should do some necessary schoolwork instead."

Andy then also waved goodbye to the black-haired girl, with some words like "catch you later. it was nice meeting up with you. Hope to see you again soon and have a nice day!" Then the brown-haired Second Year Thunderbird broom racer watched as Rita left the campgrounds and then buried his hand into those exercise books once again. Rita was a definitely somewhat fascinating girl to have a chat with, and Andy was of course looking forward to seeing the black-haired girl with yellow glasses once again to do some other interesting things. But certainly not for now, as Rita had took her step to leave the campgrounds and Andy had to finish his work on those exercise books. The brown-haired Thunderbird did not want to leave those books unfinished while having all the fun at Hogwarts, as he did not want to disappoint neither the professor nor his parents
