Ravenclaw was fighting back it seemed as Harper had picked up the closest heavy object she could get and threw it at Colin. The Slytherin was either not paying enough attention to the other racers or just was unable to dodge as the object hit hit straight on. He was defintiely going to be getting a bruise from that later. Bloom on the other hand seemed to have lost the ability to cast Lumos, maybe she was getting tired or maybe she had just lost her focus on the spell after making her way through all of those dangerous trees.

June must have been having the time of her life attempting to make it through the last few units by herself, and she was not doing too well either. First the sun must have been right in her eyes, although even Logan had to squint a bit to even be able to see the racer at this point. The light must have been what had caused her to miss seeing the Cockatrice as it was angered soon after, causing the girl to end up with a few wounds form it.

Trees, trees and more trees is what the racers had to make their way through. Maybe in the future less wooded areas should be involved in the races because some people were just having a difficult time with them. Others were not doing too horribly but Logan could almost feel the pain every time one of the racers hit something. Honestly she was not quite sure these racers were in their right minds, although she was also a captain for the Hufflepuffs so she could not have been much better.

Some of the racers were back out of the trees and right back into the snow. The good news was they were almost done with the race though, only a little bit longer and they would be done and could curl up in the hospital wing. If they were really lucky Logan might bring them all some hot chocolate if she got the permission of the nurse. The snow did not seem to be that bad at the moment though as all of the racers were able to make it through without issue.

The racers were lucky as the sun must have gone behind a cloud at this point. They were all able to make it through the area without problem and continue on their way. They were almost there, they could probably see the finish line from where they were at if they looked closely enough. They would need to be careful with these next few units but they would be fine right, they had been okay with these last few units so the next few should not be too big of an issue.

Clair had always loved throwing things, be that rocks, sticks, or teammates while on a broom. It was just really un to use all her muscles to fling something as hard as she could, hopefully they could get to the finishline soon, she really really wanted her team to win the race, after all the bragging right to colin was just to tempting.

If one could see the finish line, it was definitely Bloom. She was nearing the end, bypassing as many of the different units as possible. It was becoming a breeze. Bloom did not have time to question it. It could be that she learned from before or maybe she felt more confident in herself this time around than last. One thing she was proud of was that she was in the front rather than in the back of the line. And nearing her was her teammates. It was clear sighting from here.

And as Colin watched Percy rocket ahead, SLAMMO! Jordan's sharp branch or jagged rock or knife or something careened into his side, ripping another gash into his already bleeding and battered body!

"WHOOO!! You almost got me that time Jordan!" he called out. "You've got better aim than Hunter lass! I had to fly into his lame throw for him to hit anything!"

Colin felt the adrenaline rush and could practically see it squirting out of the tears in his shirt and flying robes! WHOA! THIS IS LIVING!!

----June flew, and man did she flew straight into nothing but disaster. Vale would've took pride for it if it wasn't for the fact she will have to meet her captains and teammates afterwards. It was an attempt, even if it failed so badly. For now, Vale was pretty sure she was flying at the speed her grandmother walks on a rainy, dreary day.

Harper was definitely feeling anxious for the end of this race. She knew that it would end up being a close one for sure. Some members from each of the teams were nearing the end. At this point still it would be anyone's game. She took deep breaths, feeling much weaker from all the blows she had taken during the race. She would definitely sleep well afterwards she knew that much.

The suspense was killing him at this point. Bubba really just wanted the race to be over now so Ravenclaw could celebrate a glorious victory. One of the Slytherins had somehow caught almost all the way back up to the lead. It was practically neck and neck between Bloom, Hunter, and this random snake who should really get down the order where he belonged. He'd been clapping so much that his hands were starting to hurt but he kept doing it and offering many whoops of encouragement.

A piercing scream tore through the air as Vale launched June through the course. If June thought she knew what speed was before, it was nothing compared to the streak of motion she was now as she was flung through the air. In a blur, in what seemed to be all at once, she was blinded, attacked by some creature, completely obliterated by trees, and unequivocally thwapped by even more trees. Ow.

Hunter slightly paid attention to his fellow racer, Harper, falling behined. She seemed to be in a worst for wear sort of situation and he couldn't help but worry a bit for her. The idea of flying back to catch her if she lost her breath came to mind, but he brushed it off to rather put trust not in her but in the logic that these bloody snakes needed to start playing smart (Just Hunter's thoughts, OOC I love you all). With that mind being brushed off, he decided to rush and keep match with one of the only snakes to have gotten passed him. It caught him by surprise honestly, but the risk of losing now when they had such a big league was gonna be rather embarrassing. All Hunter could do was curse under his breath and blame Bubba for not taking into account or having even given a decent strategy to the group. It was time to trust his thoughts and instincts, and as such Hunter focused more on the race than ever before.

When he was Bubba clapping for them, Hunter was tempted to flip him off from how annoying he found him. He decided to keep that action for after he wins though because as of right now he needed to focus.

Interacting with everyone

Thanks to the help of his teammates Percival shot forwards like a bullet towards the front row of the race. Along with that, he managed to get through each obstacle relatively unharmed as he came up behind bloom towards the final straight of the race. He knew what he needed to do, it was just a matter of if the opponents were ready for it. Whatever the case, the last few minutes we’re going to be crucial in deciding who was going to be the winner of this spectacular race.
