Pax pointedly ignored the Ravenclaw chaser's comments with a small roll of their eyes. They knew the words were only to get inside their head (and besides, they were only a second year- they didn't know what she was expecting). Instead of retaliating, they used their strength to throw Zoe and Elena towards the snitch, though it was disheartening to see it fail and then them tumble straight from their broom. And their safety, Ethan, was also falling from their broom. With a sigh, they looked over in the direction of the bench, soon to be empty.

"Come on guys," they called over to those still on the ground. "Time for you to prove yourselves!"

It wasn't unreachable. They could still win.

Things were much, much worse than he thought. Of course he’d jinxed it, why had he jinxed it! He knew better than this, and now-

Internally he cried in anguish, outwardly he pulled a defeated look, wrinkling his nose at Pax’s words and begrudgingly unwrapping himself from the warmth of the blanket he’d snuck in as the others on the team joined the game.

“Just gotta deal with those smug harpies,” he sighed as he stood, “fun…” It would, in fact, likely not be fun for any of them when they joined the game. Still, he kicked off the ground and into the air with the others; would need to try his best for the team and all that.

The penalty lap was second nature at this point for Lavinia. She’d done so many that it was easy to just fly around the track and watch as her team eliminated the competition. Well that’s when her open, she was so depleted of energy that her eyes were fading in and out, stars would continually appear in her vision. She wasn’t sure of her use to the team anymore, but she was an extra body that was going to fight to the end.

Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw

It had been stupid to celebrate the goal he'd scored (with help from Jay). One moment of inattentiveness was all it took. He'd never even seen the bludger coming.

The angry little ball hit him like a carriage and for a moment, he was sent into a tailspin, taking @Jay Divus down to the ground with him. With clenched fists he pushed through the pain and pulled back up. By some miracle Jay was still on the broom too, though only barely. Finnegan reached blindly behind him to grab a fistful of Jay's robes and pulled it toward him. "Hold on to me," he called over his shoulder, "and don't let go." There wasn't anything else he could do for his teammate, short of putting him down on the ground and wasting valuable time. In this state, he didn't really think Jay could be expected to do anything other than hang on.

Things weren't looking good. It had been raining lions, just like it had been raining badgers in the previous match. Still, they weren't completely wiped out. And so long as he had a broom to fly on and at least one functioning arm, he wasn't going to give up. There was still a chance of victory, no matter how small.

Can you feel it Mr Krabs? Can you smell what the J-Man is cooking? Jorah's bludger slammed into Ethan. Ouch! The strike sent the poor little lion man off his broom and plummeting to the ground.



Ever ravenous, the bludger's thirst for blood would not be satiated. The iron ball of doom ricocheted off Ethan and collided into Jay and Finnegan. Scotty's on fire! Was this the end for Jay and Finn? No! The power of friendship was too strong that day. Jinnegan took the hit, but they endured and remained abroom.

At least this time around Winnie was saved the pain of a bludger. It seemed the player who had hit her the first time wasn’t going for a two in a row with her. She would manage to score thrice but two times the Quaffle would go to the other team and she found herself gritting her teeth.

This was it! Ravenclaw was going to make it! Each time the quaffle soared through the hoop, Taisia cheered for her team. The blue clad team flew like the birds depicted on their house crest. By now, Tai was barely on the bench. She was too excited- even if she didn't do anything this was her first win on the team!

Of course there was the fact that Gryffindor could still catch the snitch and win. That was all up to the Ravenclaw Seeker and of course she had all the faith in him!

Edward cheered as his team scored again and again. But then he watched the Gryffindor seeker stretching her arm towards - the snitch? Oh no!, he thought. But then he saw her being blatched and fall from her broom, feeling relieved but also worried. That must have hurt.
Up to now he still had not spotted the snitch. But with the Gryffindor seeker out of the way it was his chance hopefully.
