Avery's Speech

-----H e smiled at her then, genuinely.

“Even though you didn’t catch them, thanks anyway, seriously.” He replied, with a friendly nod. “--And, I’ll keep it in mind. It seems I am in need of allies most days so when help is so readily given, I’d be a fool to reject it!” He humoured, and he wasn’t entirely wrong; he didn’t have anyone yet he could rely on and they were most of the way through their first year! Whilst he felt like she and he were engaged in this constant feeling of owing one another, at present, he could at least count her among the first of those who he owed or had owed him.

“Here’s to hoping things don’t turn out so bad that I require help, hey? – I’ll let you know what it was anyway, even if it is just gossip. Take care, Ms.Voltrouz.” He gave finally, with a smirk as he nodded his head to her signalling his farewell. The taller Avery swivelled on his heel and began to climb the small muddied incline to return to the path that would take him from the clearing, back to school.

Now the mystery of the note needed to be revealed, though Avery felt unsure as to the part he was to play.
Avery has left the thread.

Raizel nodded, satisfied with his response to her offer. It might not seem much from a fellow first year but in a place where unexpected things could happen, it's nice to have someone that you can count on just in case you got yourself in a sticky situation, someone that you trust.

"I'll be waiting for the update." Raizel nodded once more, a smile on her present. Yes, an update would be nice, some answers. She is a very curious person and if something sparks that up, she would certainly try to find some answers. "Stay safe." Raizel added. She was caught off guard when Avery referred to her by her last name that time, not used to being called that which just made her chuckle. She would prefer if her friends would just address her with her name. Not like she hates her last name or anything, no, at least, there is nothing to hate about it, nothing that she knows of. That 'Voltrouz' side of her is a mystery that hasn't been solved.

Raizel watched as Avery made his travels back to the school, that smile that she wore slowly turning into a frown. That sweet and happy look in her eyes disappeared as it was replaced by a more serious one. The frown wasn't directed on her friend but rather the situation that he is in. Yes, it was intriguing but at the same time, it was worrying. Her friends mean so much to her that she had hoped it's not something that'll cause Avery harm. She doesn't doubt his skills, nope, she trusts that they will help him through in case something happens. She's just worried. The young Gryffindor sighed, looking up to the skies. She's rather hungry at the moment. Perhaps a snack before the next lesson would be nice.
