Clair had flipped through the book she was reading and had taken enough notes to be happy with that book, so she started on the next on on her to read list; how to lead a good life.
The book was one she had had for a while, but due to it's size Clair had been saving it for the perfect time. Well, today seemed like as good of a time as ever! She opened the rather large book a d started to read it. It was a while before either of the girls spoke, it was safe to assume they were deep into their own work, at least Clair was.
When Rita spoke again, Clair had read the first chapter and was thinking about what it meant.
She turned to looked at Rita, "there sure is! And of course you may ask, and I'll try to give you a good answer" She replied, when Rita asked how she managed all her homework and the rest of her life, Clair thought for a moment. "Well, I mean, at first I found it kind of hard, I wanted a social life, but I think I just had to decide what was really the most important things to me, y'know? Of course for me I decided that my schooling was most important, so I finish all my homework as I get it. If I wait for the deadline 1) I stress about it, and 2) I might forget and not turn it in. I also then decided that my free time would be spent practicing for broom racing, and then the rest of it could be spent however I feel." She paused, "But I also have this rule for myself, if i don't get my homework done and done right, I skip practice. I've never had to test it out, but i don't really want to either."

Rita listened carefully when Clair began to share her experience on how to manage the schoolwork and other activities around the school such as sports practice and errands. "Well, Clair`s suggestions do seem to be wise. Although there is the Quidditch practice and all those different activities around the school, the schoolwork should be always the priority over all those things. As a student, I really should finish my homework first before doing all those other activities. And finish my homework as soon as I get it also seems to be a valuable advice." The Second Year Hufflepuff beater with short straight black hair thought.
"Well, thank you for your suggestions, Clair! Do the homework as soon as you get it, and finish the homework first before doing after activities, these two tips do seem to be wise suggestions, and I believe I can try them on when I have homework next time! Afterall, you are absolutely right, study is always the priority as a student!" Rita turned to Clair and whispered to the Ravenclaw girl with long straight brown hair with a friendly smile, "By the way, may I ask what book are you reading if you don`t mind? It seems to be an interesting book, and you have been reading it for quite a while, so could you also recommend the book to me if you don`t mind?" "I think Clair probably would not mind when I asked her what book she was reading. Maybe she could even lead it to me after she finished that. Anyway, Clair do seem to be a quite nice girl by leading me those books, offering to help me with studies, and giving me some tip for balancing schoolwork and other activities, so maybe we can be friends!" The black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff first-string beater thought when she finished speaking to the other Ravenclaw girl named Clair.

Clair nodded, "I mean, it might be different for you, I think its all about setting out which goals are most important and then completing them, For someone who is maybe on the prefect team, they might need to put their patrols before their homework, and maybe their homework before their sports practices." She had often thought of how hard it would be for the people who were doing so many different things to keep up with their clubs, and sports and homework, maybe they too had their own way to juggle it all.
The Ravenclaw smiled, "Its called, How to Lead a good life, its about how you can make your own choices and how to think and live in a way that will benefit you best, its really interesting!" When Rita asked if she could recommend it a huge grin crossed her face, "Of course its a wonderful book! If you'd like you can borrow it from me on e I'm done with it!"
The idea of anyone really liking books was one Clair liked to enforce. Books were so good and they provided a lifetime of information or entertainment, or both! Sadly Clair bad noticed that not many people enjoyed reading as much as she did, they seemed to like everything else better.

Rita also nodded with a friendly smile when Clair continued to talk about how to balance homework and other activities and tasks you have around the school. "Clair points out figuring out how is the priority for you first before doing anything, which is of course very important. I think there is this muggle thing called priority list or priority table that can be kind of useful for that." The black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff beater thought before opening her mouth to reply.
"Yeah, you words absolutely make sense, figuring put what is most important and urgent for you first before doing anything is really important. I think muggles have invented some sorts of table where you can put things in 4 catagories, urgent and important, urgent but not important, important but not urgent, and neither urgent nor important. I think that can be an useful way to figure out your priority and then do that thing first."
Then, Clair began to talk about the book she was reading, How to Lead a Good Life. Rita actually had not heard about that book before, but it seemed to be an interesting book to read. Probably an life advice book, but told in an interesting way.
"That really do sound like an interesting book! Now, I am intrigued to read that! It will be great if you can lend that book to me when you have finished, and I can lend a book I really enjoy reading as a exchange! Deal? I cannot wait to do that!" Rita was always a book lover, and a good book she had not read before always intrigue the black-haired Hufflepuff beater, she wondered if the other Ravenclaw girl would thought the same.

Clair nodded, remembering her the sheet of paper her mother always had hanging on the fridge door for each of the girls and then herself with all the priorities on it, yet another thing that had been lost with her mother.
"Definitely, I also think that it is helpful if you journal about you day. That way when your still figuring out what you think is important you can go back and look at your daily activities and see what you do the most often, your good and bad habits. Its like looking inside a window at your own life." She remembered writing down each aspect of her life day-to-day, lately she had not been doing it, but over her first year she had filled many notebooks with notes from each day. Some were simple notes like 'I had chicken pie for supper, Hogwarts has the best pie' others were more in depth like, 'Today I was thinking about what it means to be human....'
Clair's eye's lit up a book exchange! "Ooh yes! We should do that! I love a good old fashion book exchange." She loved books, and the idea or getting to read another book she had never read was just far to exciting for her.

Rita also nodded with a bright smile when Clair continued to talk about another way to keep things on control, which was making a journal of things she did on a day-to-day basis. Actually it was one of the things Rita always wanted to do but had not done. The only occasion where she had done some journaling was for an errand in summer asking them to do some journaling. Maybe she really should do that from now on, it may prove to be useful.
"Oh, journaling! It`s something I`ve always wanted to do, but haven`t done! I think that`s a really good idea! I should try to do that from now on, thanks for your suggestion, Clair!" The Second Year Hufflepuff girl turned to the other Ravenclaw girl to reply, "As for the book exchange, we can totally do that someday! It must be very interesting!"
Rita did not know how much time she had spent in the study room. Clair was definitely an great friend to make, and similar to the black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff beater herself, the Ravenclaw broom-racer was full of energy, quite nice and friendly, and have many interesting ideas. They should definitelty meet again some time and do many interesting things! A few hours had probably slipped away in the study room without her realising, and she now felt a bit hungry and crave for dinner.
"By the way, do you know what time is it now, Clair? I suppose it is getting late and I gotta go. It is so nice talking to you, and let`s be friends!" The black-haired Hufflepuff first-string beater asked the other Ravenclaw girl while beginning to pick up her things.

It was nice talking to Rita, in fact hours had passed between when she had entered and when she was about to leave without the Ravenclaw girl even noticing. She quickly checked the time, "Its been about four hours, and my belly says it is time for dinner." she said, getting up with her books and other stuff,.
"It was wonderful to meet you, and I hope we can get in contact again and have a book exchange!" She started towards the door, that was when she heard Rita say that they should be friends, Clair smiled, "Yeah we should be, that would be cool, When I finish this book" she lifted the book, "Want me to send you a owl and we could meet up?" A owl would be easier than tracking around the castle looking for the hufflepuff, but if the girl rathered she could ask just try to find her.
As Clair left the study hall and headed back to her common room she thought about the fact that she had spent around four hours talking about books and managing time with the girl and it had felt like only a few minutes. Before she could finish her thoughts she got to the common room door and had to solve the riddle, her thoughts would need to wait for later.

Rita was actually kind of surprised when Clair said about 4 hours has passed, cos it was just so nice to have a chat with the Ravenclaw broom racer with pretty straight light-brown hair who shared the same amount of energy and passion for having small talks and reading books. It was just surprising to the Second Year Hufflepuff beater with short straight black hair and yellow glasses it really felt like a few minutes when they has in fact spent a few hours talking about study skills and good books. Now the black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff first-string beater was indeed feeling a little tired and hungry, and she really needed to pick up her belongings and return to the Hufflepuff common room.
"Yeah, I also feel really lucky to meet a great friend like you, Clair! You can feel free to shoot an owl to me when you finish that book, and we can have a book exchange activity some day! But for now, let's call it a day and catch you later!" Rita then waved goodbye to Clair, who was just about to leave the study room, and also picked up her belongings to leave the study room and go back to the Hufflepuff common room soon after Clar left. Rita really did feel lucky to meet such a nice and friendly girl like Clair, since someone who was actually quite similar to her and could match the large amount of energy of the Hufflepuff beater herself was in fact quite rare and precious. Anyway, enough thinking as Rita soon found herself right in front of the Hufflepuff common room tapping those burrels as she always did before entering the room.
