Opposites Attract PV Mathis Closed

There was something mesmerizing about the exteriors of the Hogwarts castle- at least Mathis thought. He was sure that on the inside, the castle would shine brighter. Unfortunately, he still found himself uncomfortable with the idea of traversing the hundreds of moving staircases. Lest he find Charlie again, or another peer he might've recognized, Mat would rather stay outside.
His feet carried him around the grounds of Hogwarts, and after walking for half an hour or so, he had decided to take a break in the courtyard. The stone that surrounded the courtyard was intricate and it seemed to draw Mat in. The architect who designed it must've been a genius- or at least someone who knew what they were doing. Was it carefully constructed by a wizard, or maybe a design made up by a muggle? Questions surrounding the designs flooded throughout Mat's mind. Maybe he should take a picture and send it to one of his parents. Surely, they would know.
He wasn't alone in the courtyard, and his eye searching around the designs stopped upon a young boy. The boy wasn't wearing the standard Hogwarts robes, so Mathis assumed he was a visiting student, similar to himself. With an inability to stop himself, Mat strolled up to the boy; before he spoke, though, he made a mental note of the book the young lad was reading, the novel wasn't anything Mat seemed to recognize. Maybe he should learn more about English books, but the thought of forcing himself to learn made Mat cringe internally.
"Hey," Mat began, "you're a visitor too, right? You're not wearing those robes. What school are you from?"

Sinking himself into the intriguing book and nearly forgot the rest of the things, Andy did not look up until he heard some footsteps coming to him and a unfamiliar voice calling him. He looked up and found out it was a boy he had never seen before, with short curly blue-blaak hair and wearing a black leather jacket. "He said you are a visiter TOO, so that means he`s not from Hogwarts? I don`t remember seeing him around in Ilvermorny, so, which school is he from? I honestly have no idea." The brown-haired Second Year Thunderbird thought before opening his mouth.

"Yeah, I`m also a visitor here, from Ilvermorny in the US. My name is Andy by the way. What`s your name and where are you from, if I may ask?" Andy replied with a little wave and a slightly nervous smile. The Second Year Thunderbird found out due to having a few experiences of interacting people, he is getting a little more confident and his faces no longer blushes although meeting someone for the first time was still kind of scary and he was still a little nervously. Maybe he had managed to come out of his shell, or at least had made a major step towards it.

Anyway, Andy decided to sink himself in that fascinating book Alabama Moon before the other boy could reply. Alabama Moon was an amazing book about the struggles a 10-year-old boy, who had lived his entire life in the forest, had to overcome when his dad passed away. "I can`t really imagine living by myself in the forest. It`s astonishing that the boy who is even younger than me has managed to hunt for food, build shelters, make clothes and hats, and basically thriving in the forest until his uncle comes to pick him up. It`s so inspiring!" Andy thought when he was reading that book and the Second Year Thunderbird was really in love with that book and would like to recommend it to everyone who love that kind of genre. Maybe the boy in front of him could be the first one he recommended that book to, but the brown-haired American boy would leave it until later, when he got to know the other boy better.
