Meeting Two- Animal Club
A short minutes of putting Peanut to sleep and getting up to get some drinks and snacks while waiting for the more members to show up to the meetings, Rita quickly noticed a few faces showing up to the grounds to the meeting. Kim was obviously there since him and Bailey were always together, and there was Charlie, a first year Ravenclaw Rita knew from the Musicians Corner club as the new club leader; Ayuna, another first year Ravenclaw that Rita would sneak into Hogsmeade there to celebrate the black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff beater`s 13th birthday with later this month on the 19th, as well as Kayla, one of the first year Hufflepuffs she was only too familiar with, having meeting her numerous times. Charlie had brought her cat Zara, Kim with her puffball Puffie, and Kay with her ferret Squeaky. Oops! It seemed that Peanut had woken up due to the rest of the group members coming with their pets and started to tickle the other pets!
"Peanut! Please stop being naughty and come back to me! You are making the other owners upset! I know you are woken up by them coming to the grounds, but please come back to me!" Rita called out to the naughty little red cat and decided to hug him in his arms to stop him from causing trouble, then continued to speak, "I`m sorry, my cat Peanut just woke up cos you and your pets are all coming to the meetings, and he is just too active! Anyway, nice to see you all, and how about we each share some interesting stories between us and our pets? Like starting from when and how we got those cuties that melted our hearts? I don`t really know if that can work, and feel free to share your opinions, friends!" The Second Year Hufflepuff showed a friendly smile to the group and hoped the other group members did not really mind about her naughty cat causing some trouble and her probably not very clever suggestion.

────────────────────────────────The meeting was starting. I was glad, and ready for it. Rita’s cat had woken up, and was a little crazy. Rita was concerned that her cat Peanut was causing issues, but this was a meeting about our pets. A time to share fun stories about them, and have fun. “Ah Rita, it’s fine. Let peanut run around how she wants. It does not bother me.” I said.
I though. Bailey was asking for suggestions, even though I didn’t really have any. “I do not really care what we do. I think Rita’s idea is good, get to know each other if we do not know each other, and share stories about our pets.” I said. It was a good idea.
I waited a moment and reached forward to try Kim’s suggestion of having bacon on the cupcake. It was really good. Not the best thing in the world, but the two foods complemented each other. Delicious.
After I finished my cupcake, I decided to share a story about Zara. “Zara was just a little kitten when I got her, well, she was seven months. I took her on a skateboard ride back home, and she absolutely loved it. It’s like one of the only times she lets me hold her.” I said, happily.────────────────────────────────

The first once to share something was Rita and Kayla nodded.
"It would be really nice to share some stories on our pet's," Kayla agreed. As soon as she said this, one of the girls (Charlie) also agreed to this idea and started first. Kayla thought Charlie's cat was adorable and the story was even cuter. As Charlie spoke, Kayla took a cupcake and begin to munch on it. It was delicious. The smell seemed to catch the attention of Squeaky ad the ferret opened a beady eye and regarded her owner.
"No," Kayla whispered to Squeaky, "you'll get sick, girl."
Charlie finsihed speaking and Kayla waited for someone to go next, but no one did, so Kayla went.
"Hey, guys. This is Squeaky, I got her a while back. One of her finest moments was the first night she stayed at my house.
"When I went to sleep, I woke up a while later at around one in the morning and I couldn't find this little nutter." Kayla rubbed her ferrets head fondly before continuing, "I woke up the whole house. Guess where we found her? Sleeping on a mat under my little sisters' bed."
Kayla remembered how scared she was when she couldn't find Squeaky, but Kayla was now used to Squeaky moving away from her bed at some point in the night. It still scared her when she couldn't find the ferret, when Squeaky was usually just sleeping in plain sight.

| ─── | It looked like Bailey liked his idea.
But it was bacon. Everything tasted better with some bacon on it, as long as it was the crispy type! Kim remained where he was as Bailey started to talk to the members who had shown up for the meeting. He needed to make sure to be on his guard at all times. When there were cats around that is. It was something that couldn't be avoided at a pet or animal club as there were a lot of people who liked felines. The most he could do was be ready to dart away from them if they tried to 'attack' him. As it was, Kim was close enough to the group to be able to see and hear them easily. But also far enough away, so felines couldn't go after him.... Not easily at any rate. If they tried, he could quickly get up and rush off before they reached him. Bailey asked the members what they wanted to see happen with the club and Kim glanced around at the people gathered together before them. What would they say when given a chance to express their opinions and ideas? Rita's idea was great, Kim could still remember when he'd first gotten Puffie. He'd been unable to resist buying the pink puffball at the time. Peanut started to run over and tickle the other pets on the ground. Kim was glad Puffie was still on top of his shoulder. Peanut might have ended up tearing him apart, after all Puffie looked like a squish or chew toy to most cats. It didn't seem as if Peanut had seen Puffie or him yet and Kim hoped it would remain that way. As long as Peanut didn't try and hurt any of the other pets, he didn't care what he did with the others. But like Bailey had mentioned in her note, if the cat did make trouble for others, Rita would be required to put him on a leash if he didn't listen to her and stop bothering them. So far it didn't seem like it would be necessary but who knew what would happen as time passed? Charlie spoke about finding her cat, after agreeing with Rita. Regarding what to do in the club. Kayla also agreed with Rita's suggestion and it was becoming obvious that this was something that definitely would be implemented into their club. Kayla's story was cute and Kim would have loved to have been there to see the story take place. Ayuna and the club leader and co-leader were the only ones left to share their stories with the members who had shown up. Kim decided to take the chance to share his own story briefly and then the teen would wait for Bailey and Ayuna to share theirs after. "For Puffie, it was purely coincidental." Kim told them. "I went back for spring break and passed by the pet shop on my way home." He said with a nod. "I went in to look at the animals because I love pretty much every animal or creature I've seen before. With the exception of cats. The pygmy puffs caught my eye as I was browsing and I played with them for a time. The shop owner told me that one of them was getting really old and still hadn't been adopted by anyone. I felt bad for it, so I decided to buy him and show him some love before he ended up dying of old age. So, that's why I got Puffie." Kim told them... He glanced over at Bailey and Ayuna, waiting for them to wrap things up, so the meeting could end. It was a pretty good first meeting, being able to introduce ourselves and our pets and express a direction for the club. Kim was looking forward to seeing how the next meeting would go. |
