Hurling things at break-neck speed aimed at fellow students was certainly not a pastime June thought she would enjoy, and yet here she was. "Yes!" June's spirits soared as her projectile hit true, bludgeoning the same poor Ravenclaw as last round. The adrenaline was warmth enough for June as the wind whipped against her face, too focused on the task at hand to realize just how chilly it was.

----Vale should be upset, and yet she wasn't. The water was rather cold, but at least she didn't land head first into solid ground. She pulled up from the water, shaking her head as best she could from the water. She watched her team fly away with the Ravenclaws. "I'll enjoy it terribly, Colin!" She shouted to the top of her lungs, but she was pretty sure she wouldn't be heard well.

If she could, she'd just happily took the time to swim around, but the last thing she wanted was her captains on her tail for it.

"Brooms...can float, right?" Vale muttered to herself.

Percival knew he wasn't doing well so far. They had missed most of their casts and were falling behind their opponents. With a growl, Gray tried his best to keep his mind focused and figure out a way to get back into this race. They all needed this win more than anything right now.

Things were going well for the Ravenclaw team and Bubba gave a hearty round of applause from the stands as he watched them fly on. They were all either even with or head of the Slytherins, well except poor Harper who was clearly still riding the struggle bus. Still, it was a team sport and his primary concern was having Ari and Bloom extended their lead and bring it home for the team.

He was caught. Sure it was a risky move, to use that spell, but he wasn’t supposed to get caught. That wasn’t part of the plan. Well, whatever. This wasn’t the end. He was, shockingly, still alive. That was a good thing to hold onto.

The race pushed on, and the snakes were falling further behind. There was momentary hope for the future, even if Ari's spell didn't work. But there were still plenty of obstacles to get pasted and survive if they were going to secure victory, and with Ari at the back, he had some catching up to do.

Surprisingly there was no risk of death at the beginning of this round. Maybe Slytherin was now focusing on just flying instead of attempting to end the other team, although that was how Hufflepuff had won against them last round so it was understand able. One Ravenclaw cast Lumos, something that seemed useless but could potentially be useful in the future. In the process of one Ravenclaw casting Lumos, another launched their teammate a bit ahead, giving him a bit of a head start.

Note to self, just don't fly through trees because the chances of flying into something was rather high. Nothing too impressive was happening here, but both Slytherin and Ravenclaw racers were hitting the trees. It definitely seemed like it hurt with the speed they were flying at. None of them seemed fazed by their new wounds though.

The wind must have not been too strong up there as no one had managed to fall off of their brooms yet. It was either that or all of these racers had a lot more strength than Logan because she knew she would have most likely hit the ground at that point. They were all doing a lot better than she would have done.

It seemed like some of the racers were not doing too well when it came to the cold. Logan was not completely sure if they were dry yet after flying through the waterfall, but she would assume that it would make it quite a bit colder if they hadn't. Even with how cold they probably felt at the moment, they all seemed to be holding on rather well.

The sun must have moved to a position where it was not reflecting off of the snow as much, because the racers were able to move through the area rather quickly. It was either that or the light did not effect them in any way. It was not that big of an issue though, because that just meant the race would be over just a little bit quicker.

The racers quickly made their way into one of the most dangerous areas of the course. One had already made it through previously, but had noticed the large creature. It seemed none of these racers had noticed the creature though as it quickly made an attempt to attack all three of them. Unluckily for them, they must not have been able to notice the creature fast enough as all of them were caught by the sear of the Cockatrice. They were definitely going to feel that later.

Again with the trees, they all really needed to understand that flying through small enclosed places at high speeds was not good for their health. Apparently the Lumos that had been cast earlier on had proven to be useful though as Bloom was easily able to make it through the trees without hitting anything. Hunter on the other hand was not as lucky as he managed to fly into a few in the process of trying to get out.

Clair loved broom racing, and one of her favourite parts was throwing. Things, people, anything.
This time it had been Hunter, she watched as he sailed away, now she was no doubt one of the last racers but it was still worth it and she hoped the rest of her team was having good luck.

Harper was beyond ecstatic that she was actually advancing and taking a minimal amount of damage. In most races so far she had been extremely unlucky on that part. She smiled and raced forward, now filled with sudden pride and determination to keep going. Her previous spill off her broom had been erased from her mind, only focusing on the rest of the race was now her priority.

Every unit had its own flavor of strength and challenge. Bloom made it through a few on her own when she realized for a split second that she was not alone! Luckily, it was a fellow teammate that was catching up to her. "Welcome to the winners circle," Bloom said with a small laugh. She was always a hidden competitive person. A part of her wanted to now compete against Hunter, but alas, it was best for them to work together in case any units ahead of them were to become more challenging.
